Had to retire my first coat purchased 20 years ago. Couldn't go wrong buying the exact duplicate, they're awesome.

I have had several over my life and I just prefer car hart they last the longest

Coat is a little on the stiff side, but should soften up after a couple of washes and wears. Nice to see inside pockets. Overall nice durable coat for the money.

Larger than my previous one, but I haven’t washed it yet. Same quality as I demand. This is my 6th coat in 25 years, not to bad for wearing in a construction job.

Fabric is way too stiff even after washing it was still too stiff

I've had several of these over the years for winter work-coats and are my favorite for hard-use. Right amount of pockets outside and inside. I bought another 3X for layering, when far enough below zero I wear my 2X underneath. Warmest penguin around.

The Jacket is way to big. Not normal sizing it runs very large, other than that the product is great just can not wear mine,. not sure if it can be returned. Order one size smaller then your shirts.

Best jacket I’ve ever owned. Found this online and ordered a size too big. Brought it into my local Carhartt store and they were able to package it up and order a new one. Got to my home quickly and fits perfectly.

This coat is a lot lighter weight than my older coat .I'm afraid if I wash it will be history . It is already coming apart so I believe its cheaply made.

The key for my purchase of this coat was warmer but it doesn't have exposed metal. My job requires any clothing we wear to not have metal. The jacket is heavy made and should last me for years.

Correct size and fit. The coat is great in moderate to extreme cold. I immediately ordered the hood that attaches. With the complete gear it make a very warm cocoon! I highly recommend this coat and hood.

Runs large. I ordered 2x but should have gotten a 1x.

I've been buying this coat regularly since 1978 I bought at least 10 The last one got covered with hydraulic fluid so I had to replace it with the one I have now The one I have now which is made in some third world country The wind blows right through it I mean there's there's nothing to it it's heavy you know they used to be extremely warm you know Chicago winter now I'm unhappy you know I wore it and you know 25 mi an hour wind and it was like where the t-shirt I also have the extreme coat and jacket and that's a lot better but take longer to break in but at least it stops the wind High wind in 35° I should be well warm it's like wearing a t-shirt I won't buy this coat again I've had the American made version that is no longer available and that was a hundred times better than the coat I have now I put the coat I have now in a truck tool box and if I need it I got it but you know you have to layer underneath this thing and you know what's the point of that you know I understand layering I layer forever carhart is not what it used to be I don't buy Carhartt for style or to wear to the mall or you know like huge people do today I wear it because they used to be a quality product you know but that is all faded away and now this is just some imported junk car used to be to coat for the working man I got one I set fire cutting with the torch and I wore that and the insulation fell out over 5 years but it was American made coat there is a difference

I have the same jacket in black that I bought almost 20 years ago. I love that jacket but now it has some significant visible wear, so I wanted to replace it. I was really excited to get the new jacket, but unfortunately I just didnt like how the new one fit. The sleeves were extremely "puffy", the chest pockets were too low and more like abdomen pockets. If you look at the picture on the website, the sleeves do look puffy there too, but the chest pockets on mine seemed to be lower than what is pictured. After trying the new one on, I realized that I liked my old one a lot more. So I ended up returning the new one back to the store.

I have to send it back. I didnt realize it has feathers in it. Im allergic to feathers

This is the best cold weather coat I have owned. Good wind blocker. This is my second one. They wear like iron. Gives years of service. My 1st. is 15 years old and the only reason I’m replacing it is because the sleeves are now frayed.

This Loose Fit Firm Duck Insulated Traditional Coat fits perfectly. I have room to comfortably move my arms to any position without impediment. It does not cause me to overheat or perspire. It does not pull up as i bend or twist; it keeps me properly covered. I like this coat better than any I have ever had (I am 77). The collar is great. It lays flat for normal wear but can be raised to cover my neck without binding. inner material is smooth and moves over my shirts beautifully without binding. The outer material is tough but not rough. I like everything about this coat.

Great coat. Lasts through hard Midwest winters on the farm. Daily use with extreme wear and tear and the coat outlasts any other brand while maintaining function and warmth. Only brand that will fit an CL tall like it should . Breaks in to a moveable and lighter finish.

I purchased the dark blue coat. It came in a timely fashion and was nicely boxed. It is very stiff, even after washing it and runs a bit small compared to other brands. I still enjoy the warmth of this coat and highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Inconsistent. I have 2 of these jackets. One is from 8 years ago, the other is from this year. The one from 8 years ago ( made in USA) has front pockets that start 3.5 inches down from collar. The one from this year (made in Mexico) has front pockets that start 5 inches down, almost halfway down the jacket, ruins the whole look of this traditional c003 jacket. I have to now send this jacket back and I have no idea what I’ll be getting if I order it again. I don’t care where my product is made as long as it is consistent...the inconsistencies I have seen since Carhartt started making their stuff in different countries is astounding.

My husband absolutely LOVES this particular Carhartt coat! I always buy him one every other year. Amazing coat.

It fits and is perfect. Had to give away my 15-year-old Duck Insulated Traditional Coat because it didn't fit any longer (since my waist expanded and it did not). The new one fits and is just as excellent as the old one. Same features, same construction, same everything. Nice to see that some things do not change.

Excellent product, you won't be disappointed. I've purchased probably 10 jackets over the years by choice, not because I had to. I tend to get the dirty jobs, so I wash my jackets and overalls alot. The only thing that I had to do to them other than wash & dry them is spray them with water repellant after about 20 to 25 washes, which could be the caused due to the fact that I use heavy duty grease removers along with the normal soaps I definitely recommend the purchase of any Carhartt product if you are looking for durability.

Absolutely I recommend this product to anyone that likes carhartt the only I wish is if the pockets having some little extra protection like a liner specific during in very cold and wind conditions you can keep yours hands warm.

Nice jacket, but way too bulky. Add any layers underneath and you feel like the Michelin Man. I regret not purchasing another Chore Coat instead.

Great fit and look. Extremely warm on frigid days. Very stiff shell that needs to be broken in by use and maybe a few cycles in the wash.

A little too big but I accounted for shrinkage , just found out it has the snaps for a hood , should of come with it , but no.

My last Carhartt coat is still functional albeit a bit frayed...in spite of it no longer being made in the USA I purchased one of the new units that are now being made in Mexico. My new loose fit insulated traditional coat is right on par with my old coat...good fit - great heavy duty zipper and made out of a good thick duck.Cudos to talented craftmen and women in the Mexico facility.I ve been wearing my coat for about a week and its starting to break in nicely ( washed and dryed it twice and used softener).Great coat...I think it will last at least ten years like my other coat did...very happy with my purchase.

I bought the first coat like this and still have it and love it just starting to show its age that’s why I wanted another one

I love the coat, The fit, the look and the useful pockets. I guess I have to get used to the double zipper. It takes a bit to get it started but it appears to be a durable.

I order this and the insulated bibs on my son's recommendation. I'm glad that I did! Both fit exactly like I expected and both are super warm. I will ware these on those cold days that I am using my snowblower.

Great jacket, the loose fit is very comfortable and heavy duty. Can't wait for it to get broken in. The guys at work like the look of it,now they are going to get one of their own.

This would have been my third identical Duck (over 25 years). However, when it arrived it quickly became clear that Carhartt had changed the snaps for the snap-on hood. The male snaps on the jacket were visibly defective and would not hold the hood on.

This is my second jacket in this style. It's awesome.

I would have rated this great coat at 5 stars, except for 2 reasons: - I could not get it in Moss Green. I have truly enjoyed my previous version of this same coat, in Moss Green, for over 12 years. - The inside left pocket is now an angled, smaller affair instead of the larger, top-opening pocket on the previous model. Now my cell phone won't fit inside. Why would you ever make a successful pocket SMALLER? The first comment above was not enough to dissuade me from purchasing this newer replacement. The second comment was not enough reason to make me return the coat, but I did think about it.
