Overall, it is excellent, as have been the previous six or seven similar Carhartt coats I have had. One small complaint: the inside, left chest pocket was much more useful with horizontal opening and velcro closure rather than vertical zipper. Additionally, the pocket has been made too small for my phone and barely fits my pocket planner. Great coat orherwise. Been wearing Carhartt for 50 years.

Wasn't what I expected. Thought it would be shorter like the old artic jacket that I currently own but getting worn out. The four exterior pockets are nice but the zippered interior pocket is worthless. Zipper is in the wrong place and the pocket will not hold much. The waist band string is also worthless. Coat is as warm as my old coat.

Love it. Fits perfectly, comfortable and warm. Takes the place of two other jackets.

I loved this jacket. It is the Best thing I ever bought for winter. It keeps you toasty warm. I treated it before I bought it, so not sure if it's waterproof. I wish I could give it 10 stars! I even bought one for my Dad for the winter. He would give it the same review. He uses it to snow blowing. We live in the Buffalo area, so you know how cold and snowy it gets here!

I'm 60 years old and have always worn Carhartt. The last few jackets fit different. The chest and sleeves are tight but the shoulders make me look like I'm wearing football shoulder pads.

Have washed in vinegar, washed 10 times, still stands alone it is like cardboard. My husband will be 90 before it is soft or wearable.

Superb craftsmanship and generous but appropriate fit. Thoughtful details with nice deep pockets to hold tools, gloves, etc. Looks sharp and very happy to be able to order it in the dark blue to hide stains and wear better. Shipping was earlier than promised and my husband will be able to work outside in the cold with comfort and protection. The website was super easy to use, too!

Worst fitting Carhartt jacket I’ve ever worn. Big, boxy, stiff. The only upside is that it’s warm. Returned it and am currently awaiting refund from Carhartt.

Just bought my 6th or so Carhartt (0C0003-M) coat. As always, this one fit as expected: Kinda rigid for the first dozen times wearing it, but softens up eventually. The only unexpected item is the diagonal zipper on the internal pocket. Absolutely hate it. The previous versions had a horizontal zipper. If you put items in the pocket with the horizontal zipper, they don't fall out. Zipping it is extra security. The problem with the diagonal zipper is that when you unzip it to take something out, there's a significant chance that other items fall out. Great if you only put one item in your pocket, but otherwise it's an unfortunate design change.

As the title notes, marketed and sold with arctic weight insulation, so where is it.....not warm below +40, expected to be warm down to +30 without another layer. Have a knock-off that is much warmer. Not impressed with the Carhartt, will not buy another one.

This is a coat that is very warm on its own for those colder autumn days and with a layer underneath is a warm winter coat.

I hadn't considered this coat prior to seeing it in person.

I am 62 years old and have worn Carhartt coats and coveralls since I first began to need warm work clothing. This coat is my fourth one of these. The Chore coat is warm, durable and is easy to move in. I highly recommend it, if this is the cut of coat that you like.

Its nice to have something that fit an American. Most stuff is labeled XXl and is a large sixe, not sure where they come up with there sizes. So it felt great getting the correct size. I had original ordered an Xl instead of an XXl. I called had purchased a second coat in XXl. liked both of them so now I have two that's how good they are.

Great coat except the double zipper, what a poor design. Doubt if it will last more than 6 months, then I will have wasted my money on what could have been another great Carhartt jacket.

In thirty years I have gone through two of them. Flat-out the warmest gear I have ever worn. In the winter, I will never wear anything else!

Shipping was fast and I know my husband will love it. However, the outside of the box is plastered in the carhart logo, this makes it hard to disguise as a gift

The jacket is really stiff, even after washing and drying. A little of the tan color has already rubbed off, that I've noticed after taking it out of the dryer. It was run on medium dry,as per directions, and washed by itself. I was trying to find a newer version of the coat that has had for 15 years, and I'm still not sure if this is the one. My husband has shied away from wearing it, bc it's so stiff. So at this moment, it feels like a waste of money. Honestly, I'm not very pleased with it, and I'm generally easy to please.. :(

This replaces a Carhartt coat at least 20 years old,

solid coat. can't wait for it to break in a little bit more and soften up a bit through some more wear. durable & warm. the arms are a bit long and the jacket a bit bulky. the long sleeves make it a little hard for fitting bigger warm gloves...that's my only bad thing to say. other than that, this coat is going to last and be warm a long time.

It's very hard to get the zipper started. On several occasions I used the velcro bands to close it because I couldn't engage the zipper. I wish the jacket was shorter in length.

Satisfied with coat. The only thing I noticed is it is not as well made as my old one. Not as thick and less insulation.

I bought this for my husband. His mother bought him this same coat years ago and he has worn it out farming in it every winter. It’s the warmest coat he has. Seeing it new it looks like a fancy coat and I’m sad that he will be using it to work in. Lol. The blue one is the prettiest to me. I can’t say enough good things about it. So well made and very warm. Worth the money because it will last for several years.

I wear it with only a t-shirt underneath to take my dog outside in Wisconsin when it is well below freezing and it is plenty warm.

My first coat was traditional brown as my second and third. My last two have been moss green. The last one I bought is getting a little tattered and torn from my hard use. I put these coats through a lot working as electrician in Minnesota. None of the coats wore out except for the pockets from me carrying tools and getting holes in them. In my opinion best coats made. Please bring back Moss Green. Black and Navy don’t do well with Sheetrock dust and everyone has carhartt brown.

These are the best winter coats in my opinion. Warm and comfortable for the Wisconsin winters. I have had two older versions of this coat an had the zipper pull come off both. Not a big deal and an easy fix with some mechanics wire. This new one appears to have a new and improved zipper. Thus I believe the zipper pull issue has been addressed. I am very particular about my gear and this is the only coat I will buy. The quality is great and I would reccomend this coat to everyone. Thanks Carhartt!

It definitely is a loose fit - just right for layering. Looks like it will be hard wearing and long lasting. This is my third Carhartt product. Happy with purchase.

Stiff, heavy and daunting to start with, but I know what it will soon become when it breaks in a bit, and that is the very best second skin I’ve ever owned. It is a great credit to Carhartt that they have managed three, difficult things: 1) kept the design of perfect gear virtually unchanged, 2) continued to build their brand and expand, and, 3) remained a family owned business. Keep it up!

The canvas seems very thin , not the same quality from the one I bought 15-20 years ago.

Sure the weight of this coat is a little heavier than down but it's tough to beat the durability and warmth. Out here in the Rockies, building outdoors on the coldest winter days I'm comfortably warm in this coat. I ice fish in this coat. Once out hunting elk, I even napped in it in the low teens. I only woke up because I had to hike back to camp. This coat will not improve your chances of shooting elk. Get this and a pair of Carhartt insulated bibs and you'll be able to deal with any winter situation.

During the cold winter months of Michigan I dont ever leave home without it. A bit stiff at first but after a few weeks and a first wash it feels fantastic. Perfection

They changed the inside pocket configuration, with a vertical zipper on the left side pocket and a velcro tab at the top on the right. This does not work well as the zipper flap traps items and make them hard to get to, I have to fish around to get my phone or wallet out Often if I just leave unzipped because it is at an awkward angle, things fall out of it. They original set up was better, top opening Velcro on the left for often used things and a top zipper on the right for less used things or a more secure option for keys and such. There is an old adage that applies here, if its not broke don't fix it.

My husband loves his new coat! His other one was 25 years old & it was time for an upgrade.

The calor was thin and wasn't as comfortable as previous artic jackets the angled zipper pocket is hard to use go back to a level zipper pocket also I would like to see a leather logo not a cheap fabric logo
