I buy these shirts for my husband for work. He is a plumber and really gives them a work out. The only thing I don't like about them is that I have to iron them after washing for them to look good. Even so, I'll still buy them as long as he is doing the job he is doing.

I bought this shirt in the early '90's in Khaki. Back then, the size read 16x35. Since I don't button the collar on this style of shirt, the fit was perfect. I still own and wear the shirt and by golly, the fit is still perfect. It goes great with my black shadow Wrangler jeans, both my Resistol black fur and natural straw cowboy hats, and any of my Justin ropers! This is a work/play/dance/all around hanging out kind of shirt! No one should be complaining about it's "stiffness", it's "stiffness" is a huge part of what makes it great! And after roughly 23 years of, pouring down rain, hot blazing sun, hitting the ground, hugging huge barrels and getting bare fisted punched a few times, the only real damage this shirt shows is faded crease lines on the sleeves from the several cans of heavy starch used to make them as sharp as a razor. So when and IF this shirt ever falls apart, I'll just get another one!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. The fit was great and it looks good on him. The material is twill so it makes it a very stiff shirt to start out with. If you are looking for a shirt that is durable and perfect for winter wear this is it!

This is the second chance I gave this shirt figuring the first one I bought was a manufacturing mistake. Nope. Very poor quality. The shirt is made of some strange stuff. I wouldn't even call it material. It's extremely stiff like card board and washing and ironing did not help or take out the wrinkles. Dry cleaning was also a bust. Do not buy this shirt. You will regret it

Sheplers international delivery was excellent - thank you Sheplers! I received the shirt in UK about a month ago.
The Wrangler Twill Work shirt is made from heavy material and appears well stitched. The size was just right, and the extra length from the 'tall' fitting is good.
I am sorry to say that Wrangler appear to be adding extra starch to its shirts, and this shirt is no exception. I wish Wrangler would stop doing this. The starch in this shirt is washing out, but it may take 4 or five washes in total.
It's a good shirt, and I would certainly buy this work shirt again - from Sheplers.

I washed this shirt multiple times and it is stiff and starchy. I finally started tumble drying it with no heat, since a little heat made it pucker up and wrinkly. I'm also starting to wear it slightly damp and just wear it dry. It makes a new pair of Carhart work pants feel like silk. Hopefully it will be just as durable as Carharts.

Yes, this shirt may be stiff at first but that shows its durability. When I ordered this online I was hoping for a strong, rugged, well sewn shirt; and I got it in this one. I'm 5'10" 155lbs and prefer a tighter slim fit so I ordered the small and after one wash it's perfect. This is ten times better than a levis shirt and it'll save you money.

I used the sizing chart to order large shirts, which is the size I normally wear but they are way too small. I should have read the reviews. I'll have to give them away. The fabric is very firm--purchasers should expect them to require many washings before they are comfortable for leisure wear. They are true work shirts. If buyers order one to two sizes larger and intend to use them for heavy work, they should be quite satisfied. I commend Wrangler for posting reviews on its site.

the last 4 of this item# MS71519 that i purchased has been washed 5 times and still is as stiff as tent canvas and wrinkles so bad they can't be worn without steam ironing. the first one # MS715RH that i purchased from another company can be washed and dried without a problem. Both numbers are made in Bangladesh.

I bought this shirt for my 87 year old father to wear while working on the ranch. I bought it online so didn't see how stiff the material was. I washed it, which helped the stiffness, SLIGHTLY, but OH MY the wrinkles. I could not iron them out. He will probably NEVER wear the shirt as he does not iron. I was hoping for a wash and wear shirt that would still look good.

I recently bought two Wrangler work shirts in black and 2XLT. The fit is perfect and the durability of the garment is beyond dispute. For years, I've worn the equivalent in standard blue, but the black shirts bring an additional element of "coolness" when out on the town or on the weekend. Highly recommended.

I would have given this shirt a better review, because I really like the shirt, but it is so stiff and heavy that I gave three of them away; even after three washings they were stiff and rough on the inside. Again maybe it is cold weather gear!

When I first washed these shirts they were stiff as a board and really wrinkled. I soaked them in fab softener overnight and rewashed and they have softenered up considerably but are still holding the wrinkles. I am hoping overtime they will softener up more and the wrinkles will go as well as I do not iron work clothes for my husband.
Otherwise great shirts.

I bought my first shirt to try out. Now I'm buying several more in other colors. It's like it is permanently starched. I suggest to wash the shirt on cold, then hang dry. Use a steam iron (without starch) to press out the wrinkles. The result is a perfectly starched shirt every time and stays that way all day!

The twill material on this shirt is much stiffer than other twill product I have owned. I think perhaps the dye that is used, or the manner it is applied makes the shirt very uncomfortable to wear. I returned the second of the 2 I bought after enduring the wearing of the first for an evening out.

I bought this a few weeks ago. I am reminded of the wrangler jeans I had in the fifties. Really stiff. The shirt fit everywhere except across my middle. I'm already on a diet, I'll expect it will fit in the fall, but I didn't expect it to be so snug!

This shirt has been a huge disappointment. I was looking for some sturdy work shirts, but this fabric is much too heavy and stiff. Even after repeated washings, it still looks terrible (puckered) straight out of the dryer, and Hubster reports it is still stiff and uncomfortable.

I like this shirt, I like to get it in the tall sizes. I buy this shirt in a larger size than I wear, I buy the 2xlarge tall, I get xlarge tall in most things. But have more of these shirts than any other. It does shrink some, but most things do,I wear it in summer also, So being loose helps. Overall it is a great shirt for ranch in going out, if you got the time. Thanks,Will

HEAVY material! If you want that, it's great. Very tough for abrasive, muscular work in cold weather. And it looks good, very masculine. If you're looking for a soft, comfy shirt this is not for you. Don't wash or dry very hot - it can shrink. Nice snaps.

Feb 16, 2013
My husband bought this shirt at a local store and absolutely loved it until I accidentally spilled some bleach on it. I felt so terrible that I quickly ordered him 2 replacement shirts! The shirts are made of a very stiff and durable canvas material. Others seem to dislike the material, but this is why my husband likes them. He likes to wear them for outdoor work, or when he goes out shooting. He did mention some chaffing in the chest area, but he wears an under shirt and it's fine. They are kind of like wearing a work glove on your arms and torso! My husband likes to joke that if he were to get into a knife fight while wearing this shirt, he would walk away unscathed;-) If you are looking for a tough work shirt, I'd say this is a good bet, although it might not be the best for hot weather. (He gives it a 4 out of 5 only because of the chaffing issue.)

happy with the shirt , I like the lightness which is great for keeping the sun of ,with out over heating.
After the 1st wash (cold) it shrank in lenght, a little which was fine with me.
Unsure of the durialbity being a light fabric.good stiching, stlye and love the colour
Bottom line i will buy this shirt again but will up size 1 bigger allow for shrinkage, which is pretty minimal, and i like my clothing looser on me.
