Howdy Yall! This is what I consider the standard 'go to' cowboy hat style to keep coolest in with very adequate sun protection, because it's got the one-inch surround-ventilation on the vertical (under the crease bend which is important to minimize sun ray exposure on my skull), the brim wave-bend is modest, the sweat band is leather(very crucial) which I actually cut in half with a razor to reduce the height of the leather to make the wearing even more cool, the brim is 4 1/4" (I think) which is just right.
