The Comanche is comparable to the Justin Men's Composition Toe Wellington. The Comanche doesn't require breaking in the vamp, just like the Justin Wellington. I also did not size up, so the boots are true to size. Like other new boots I have worn, they are a tad uncomfortable from the outset, no matter what the technology is. The boots don't require additional insoles. My experience is it takes two to three weeks before the insole gains memory of my foot. For me, a comfortable boot is an oxymoron. It's not like working in sneakers. My feet aren't killing me at the end of the day, but I am glad to get them off. The boot has good waterproofing properties and good soles—all in all, a solid boot. The boot is versatile, so if you need a pair of work boots, but you are not kicking rocks all day, they look suitable for outside work activities.

The boots are very comfortable but after two weeks of wearing them the leather has already started to rip off the composite toe on both boots.

A side from ordering the wrong size. I am awaiting the exchange. My son has the exact boots that I ordered. He says that they are comfortable & look nice for going out. They have lasted him over 2 years. High quality work. He wears them everyday & everywhere. I ordered the new pair because the side walls are starting to crack. He wears the to fish so they’ve been in both salt & fresh water. They didn’t leak. Great Boots! I highly recommend them. He’s a college student & proved that they were more than worth the money.

My work buys me boots annually. I enjoyed wearing these boots all the time. They were very rugged and comfortable. Usually I can wear out a pair of Justin's in less than six months and you have to deal with that uncomfortable 2 week break in period. While these Tony Lama's are so comfortable the first minute you put them on. I bought my last pair for myself cause I needed a comfortable pair of boots to where around my farm and I know these will last a long time and they feel like I'm wearing my Nike's.
