[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great shoes right out of the box. They fit perfect and are comfortable as soon as I started wearing them. For me, there was no uncomfortable break in period.

Sole comes apart

I have had the same issues as all the rest of the complaints. I have been in construction for 26 years and this is the first timberlands I have bought. Not long after using the sole split and fell apart. Very poor Quailty for a high price work shoe. Would not recommend these to anyone that walks around. If you are going to sit behind a desk then they will be fine. Will never buy another pair.

I was looking for sneakers with composite toe protection and these came in my favorite color Orange. My work pays $75 annually for steel toe footwear so I decided on these. I never owned Timberlands prior to this shoe but I had the long impression they made dependable and long lasting footwear. I drive a semi truck (I double clutch) for work and normal work day is driving and walking on normal surfaces no jagged grates. I don't kick objects since these are sneakers unlike my leather steel toe boots that only have scuff marks. The inner sole like all footwear gets worn out and you can replace them. The bottom sole of these sneakers must be made from memory foam because that's what the durability seems like. My left shoe had split at first within a few months from the clutch work. The. Because it had split the sole started to rip apart like you're ripping pieces of cotton candy. The sole has worn out so much it has reached the material between the inner sole and outer sole. I have a pair of new balance shoes that is at least 8-10yrs old and the sole is a harder material. It's still solids but has lost any traction from the wearing down. For a $100+ I'd expect better material. What is good about it being comfortable for a few months then it starts feeling uncomfortable. I haven't even reached a full year and now I'm googling ideas of repairing these with shoe goo until my company can pay for another pair of composite shoes.

I have want some Timberland work boots for ages, and am so disappointed in the quality of these shoes. They were really comfortable for about 3 weeks until the inside heels wore out. Now they are killing my heels and I have to buy a new pair of shoes/boots. I will never but anything from Timberland again.

My favorite shoes ever are Timberland Hikers. Comfortable for days, BUT THESE ARE NOT The 14 Wide are very narrow. There is a painful pressure point ball of my foot probably because of the alloy toe. I wish shoe makers will realize that steel/alloy toes do not belong on ESD shoes. I work in manufacturing. 95% of the areas that ESD protection is required steel toes are not ! Semiconductor parts are tiny and if your in a warehouse the parts are double or triple protected where ESD shoes are not required. Think about it. Make a good looking shoe. One with steel toe and one without and see which one sells the most ! Sadly I'll likely end up throwing these away.
