I ordered a 12eee and I received a 12w I needed them extra wide so now I'm stuck with 307.00 boots that fit snug around the toe area so I rate no stars

I would have gave it a 5 star, the boots are terrific!! It’s just the shoestrings. I hate getting picky over shoestrings, but when you pay over $300 for a work boot, you need better shoestrings. Great boot otherwise!!

Excellent quality with a descent fit. Only complaint is typical for steel toe boots made for people with a wide foot. The steel toe is not wide enough. The shoe perfectly fit to the ball of the foot, and then the cup pinches at the toe.

Since it looks like Thorogood discontinued the model that I previously bought I tried this model. I like the way that they looks and feel except for the tongue of the boot.I agree with other reviewers that there is too much material. The tongue is too bulky. Maybe if they skip the lining on the tongue there would be so much to try to stuff in there.

It was a tough decision because the style was not available at the store. After the Fourth pair I finally found the boot that fit right. The employees were willing to help me find the right fit. Very easy to order and get the boot’s shipped to my home. It was a lengthy process to find the right pair but well worth it.

Break in fast and have handled being through long hours of brutal work. My only complaint is the insoles suck, I replaced them with Timberland Pro insoles and they feel amazing.

I’m a big fan. People are correct in saying that there is ‘too much tongue material’ and how that can cause discomfort against the ankle, but if you fold the leather correctly while they are new, which I think happened to me , fortunately, it’s not an issue. I like them a lot. I have been thinking I would have rather had composite toe instead, since they shatter, as opposed to steel, which could cut your toes off if something heavy enough fell on them.
I don’t think you will be disappointed, though.

Have been using thorogood boots for over 20 yrs this boot is to tight and does not feel like the other normal thorogood maybe if you go up one size .

I bought these last year, after owning several other thorogood boots in the past, and unfortunately these were not as good. They left still, never broke in quite right, and the tongue has too much insulation, which makes them uncomfortable. I do, however, like the black soles.

I usually always have bought Thorogood boots, even after the recent hike in price I did not spare no expense. HOWEVER, this has to be the 6th pair I’ve bought and I’m disappointed that after 1 month of wear there is separation of the sole. The shoes are still useable but due to the separation the boots immediately lost the ability to remain waterproof. I’ve always purchased this line of Thorogoods as they have the waterproof feature at an extra cost of course. Unfortunately after 6 purchases of Thorogood boots, I will need to revisit my options on the boot market come time for my next purchase..

Excellent boot. Made really well with hardy materials right here in the US. Decent comfort out box… after little break in period of course, these things will last. And they look like real work gets done. You can expect to pay extra, to get a quality product. This is an excellent boot, nuff said.

This is my second pair of Thorogood boots. Great quality boots that I can work all day in without my feet hurting. My first pair were 6” and I went for the 8” this time for added ankle support. I also opted for the Crazy Horse leather and I’m not disappointed.
