    Decent hat, poorly represented.

    The color of this hat is not even close as to what is represented. Actual color is much closer to the "Seminole Gus" picture. More of a "mink" color. It is much darker in person. The hat I received was also very poorly shaped and being wool felt, is very difficult for the tea pot steam method of re-shaping. This is no fault of Sheplers, thats all on Stetson. I returned it. Good thing Sheplers is good about returns.

    I bought this for a party at my house, it came in time. The hat was very stiff and too round for my head, I had to steam it and use a woodworking clamp inside it to spread it out so I could wear it. It fits well now and it quite comfortable. I got many compliments on it and ladies wanted to try it on for pics...works for me!

    Excellent hat, great price. My only comment is the color was way off from the photo. It was more of a grey stone color, I kept it cuz the color worked. But I need to trust that the color should be closer to the actual product.

    I purchased this hat less than a month ago. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The hat felt very comfortable right out of the box. Normally I request all new hats be reshaped before I wear them. This hat has a nice shape so I didn't bother taking it to a store to have it shaped. I really like the color as well. I have many hats and this one has rapidly become my favorite hat to wear.

    I showed this to my wife hoping I might get for my birthday and did. The size was a little big. Thankfully we live in the Denver area. We exchanged it for an 1/8 smaller. They shaped it a little in the store I'm wearing it now. Fine quality but not so expensive that I will be crazy about wrecking it. Always wanted a good cowboy hat but didn't think I would really wear it. I'm old enough that I don't care what people think anymore. My head is hard to fit. Long and narrow, a little flat in the front. It will take some time to break in as it has with other hats that are not of the crushable type. Looking forward to years of wearing it with pride.

    I was a little worried, because I have always bought high xx rated hats, you know you usually get what you pay for. Anyway, the day I got it, it was a snowy, sleety day outside, a good day to put the hat to the test. The fine Stetson fit like a glove and held its shape, stayed comfortable. I figured it to be a still wearing, peace of cardboard on my head. Truly impressed! Thanks Stetson

    Hat color not quite as shown .  Color stated is "stone" which leans towards a more gray than tan color as the picture shows.  Size ordered was exact for my head size but seemed a little big for what I prefer but probably just right for someone who likes the normal fit of not too tight or too loose.  I like a bit tighter so I shim all the way around under the hat band with felt or a thin leather strip (upholstery leather is perfect thickness) .  Works just fine and better than getting a  hat size too small. What they don't say when measuring your hat size is that most hats are oval shape and for folks with a rounder head the size will be the same but some reshaping of the hat will be required for the hat band to feel comfortable.  It may take a bit of country ingenuity to make or find something round that you can fit your hat over (rather t h an your head after steaming the brim over a steamer or tea kettle).  You will also want to shape the brim of this hat using the same steamer.  The end result a Stetson that is a little on the stiff side but a good looking durable hat.

    This is a quality fur hat. Stiff brim and accurate fit. I need to keep the sun off my face and neck and this hat does the trick. You can not go wrong with a Stetson!

    This is my first Stetson and it won't be my last. It exudes quality in every way. The color is a little more gray than in the picture but I like it at least as much in person. I have an oval head so the fit is a smidge off but I will be rectifying that soon with a hat jack. The only thing I didn't like about this hat is the band, which was replaced promptly with a nice braided horse hair affair I also got from Sheplers.

    All the Stetson Buffalo Collection hats are beautiful, but this version of the Montana crease offers a change of pace over the classic cattleman crease. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived because the shape of the brim, in my opinion, was better than the picture. The brim is not shaped downward as much as shown. It's just a good looking shape and, of course, lives up to the Stetson quality. I liked it so much I already ordered the black version!

    I really like the looks of this hat. It reminds me of the type of hat William S. Hart or Tom Mix would have worn in those old silent western movies from the 1920's. And I think it would be an appropriate hat if I ever decide to get into cowboy action shooting. Don't know if I will but this hat will fit the part.

    I've worn many hats over the years. One thing I like about this hat is the smaller brim. Although the sizing is not exact and I suggest ordering the next size larger, the overall feel and quality isn't to bad. We'll see how it holds up.

    Recently purchased because I wanted an old style hat to wear in cooler weather, this is my first Buffalo felt type hat. I would give the hat an extra star if it was less stiff. I work the brim, crown and headband a little each day. Hopefully some day soon it will be a little less like cardboard. But all in all it is still a quality Stetson.

    Beautiful hat and quality unsurpassed. Did not expect fine details esp on the interior. Size matched my head, hat comfortable and will not "shake off", perfect fit. Ordered on Sunday got on Tuesday. Shepler's has it together. Hurrah for USA made quality and service!!

    This was my first experience with a Buffalo Felt hat and I did not care for the texture. Also, the color was not as advertised and the sizing was wrong I wear a long oval and I was sent an oval. Customer service was grate when contacted about exchanging the hat for a different style.

    Love this hat. I bought a 7 1/4 and the fit is a little snug compared to the other Stetson I purchased. Not much smaller but enough to notice the difference.

    I bought this hat for an everyday work hat. I like the shape of the crown and brim. The only disappointment is the 'stiffness' of the blended felt. The hat is very hard and not easily settles on your head like my older Stetson which is softer. On the upside it is a durable work hat which should last for years.

    I bought the hat mainly for the shape and i needed something to wear with my brown boots and jeans. The hat is great as far as the shape, fit and overall comfort. The color is not as dark of a brown as it is on the website. It is more of a gray color than brown.
