I got an email from Boot Barn with an image of a woman wearing this cardigan sweater as a dress. Why or how that gorgeous image didn't make it to the item listing is beyond me because I had to immediately search for it and buy it! In fact, I'm going to add that official photo to this review!! All sizes were available but I purchased a Large even though I'm typically a Small. I wanted plenty of room and length and weight of material so that I could wear it as a dress. Honestly, the large looks great and I have zero regrets. For reference, I am 5'10" 140lbs and a dress size 2/4. In the photos I attached, I wear the cardigan as a dress with my ivory Ariat Casanova boots. In the second photo I have on wide leg Ariat 'Bria' jeans and am wearing the cardigan open as a coat. It is super heavy and a double weave so air does not pass through the weave and you cannot see through it. This does not feel crocheted, it is thickly and tightly woven with a chunky outer layer and thinner inner weave to really insulate against the cold. It's heavier than some of my coats. It's exquisite. The fur collar is satin lined for softness and comes off if that's more your jam. The buttons are very loosely sewn so I am definitely going to keep the extra button in my jewelry box. I'm gonna need it, I'm sure. When wearing it as a dress, I did pair the Shyanne Sleeveless Faux Suede Dress under it so I have a second layer. This made me feel more confident. When I lift my arms the cardigan climbs a few inches. The strappy tan dress does not. I bought an ivory sweater dress to layer under for this cooooold Maryland days. Anyway, whether worn as a dress or a cardigan or a coat, you cannot go wrong with this piece. The price is outstanding and I would have expected a MUCH higher price tag had I found this cardigan at a department store.
