      For some reason, the hat is only offered in black oilskin while the oilskin coat comes in black and brown. You need a brown hat to match the coat. If it came in brown, I would rate it a 5.

      Perfect for horseriding! It has a chin cord,so you don't have to worry about losing your hat while riding in trot or canter.And it is waterproof and has a nice ventilation due to the vents. I wear my Stetsons and Resistols on the ground;and this one in the saddle.

      you have to get this hat. you can shape it anyway you want. the color i think is perfect and gives me the look that i was looking for. the leather chin band really gives it a better look. you can either keep it down or let it stay down behind your head or like i did put it on the back rim of the hat and let it hang over with the other head band strap. it is a good all year hat for any season.

      Definitely order the next smaller size - I measured my head, which was well into the "large" size. It was huge on me - I sent it back and got a medium, which I'm wearing right now It fits beautifully. It's very comfortable, light, and durable - everything I hoped for.

      This hat is just what I wanted. The hatband around the outside was exactly as pictured. No bait an switch here. Fit is just as calculated. I cinch up the chin strap at the back of my head for a great fit. Keeps the rain off. Great hat, Great "look".

      After reading all the great reviews about this hat I decided to purchase one..I got the medium and it fits perfect. Had to go out and take care of my horses in a rain storm the other day and the hat performed just as advertised. You can't go wrong when purchasing this hat, the price is great too.       I was hesitant to order a hat online without being able to try it on but the measurements they gave were accurate and it fits great. I love the look and feel of the hat and you can bend it to the exact shape that you want. Just a great overall hat at a great price!

      i bought this hat about 3 weeks ago and i love it. i now unfortunately live in the city, and the hat almost makes me feel like i'm on the farm/ranch again. all i need to do is imagine cars as animals, the concrete and buildings as grass and trees, then i may feel at home... and ya, it doesn't work.

      I bought this about a month ago, I've only worn it a few times but each time it has kept me dry so it performs well. It has a very classic look about it which I enjoy. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of more is because the hat itself is very stiff/hard. I wasn't expecting it to be so stiff. Maybe they're all like that and it was my misconception. Either way I enjoy it and hope that as I wear it and break it in it softens up a little.
