The fit is true. I put them on and it felt so comfortable. There were some loose threads along the stitching but they didn't unravel so I just trimmed them. Smells strongly of leather. Leather is very soft. Never buy a shoe that doesn't feel good right away. These boots are incredibly comfortable. I like these so much that I ordered another Lucchese pair of boots.

This is my second pair of boots from the Lucchese 1883 line. I have a high arch and a high instep, so not all boots work for me, but these are wonderful. The left boot was a little tight to get on, but once in, they are great. Lucchese boots are the most comfortable footwear I own, right out of the box. While 1883 are the value segment of the Lucchese line, they are still pricey, but if you can get a nice sale, they are totally worth every penny. I wear them all the time and have had my first pair re-soled once. They still look fabulous, and I get compliments on the every time. Worth the money - a quality boot that looks it.

If you want the best, buy Leuchese.  It's just as simple as that.  My wife didn't want a pair of Cowgirl boots - insisted they cost too much.  But when I surprised her with these, she was absolutely delighted!  They were a perfect fit.  She will be getting a pair of Classics for Christmas.  And of course, Sheplers is the best western retailer I have ever encountered.   I couldn't be more pleased!

I went up 1.5 sizes to my normal size and thank goodness I did. These boots fit like a dream! I’ve barely taken them off as they required no wearing in ( the sign of a brilliant book)

Love the look and feel of these boots! They were comfortable from the first day I wore them, which included a long walk through the Denver airport to catch a flight. Couldn't be happier with these.

These boots are awesome! Really comfortable right out of the box. I was hesitant about the snip toe, but these fit perfectly!
