Looked good on line but in person the finish of the leather had a cheap appearance.

These are the 2nd pair of Lucchese boots I've owned. They fit great and I can walk in them all day with no discomfort. They give my Ariat's a run for their money

Great boots! However the left Boot has an excessive amount of leather on the left boot bead, where it's stiched. It looks like a roll of leather on the outside of the Boot. Looks bad!

Bought these boots for my Husband for Christmas. He's never had a pair of cowboy boots. He absolutely loves these and they look great on him! The black cherry goes with just about everything. It's taking awhile to break them in but he says they feel comfortable now and he can wear them for longer periods.

Overall, the boots fit and feel very good but as with other reviews I read the color is significantly misrepresented in the online photos. It really a darker and not very good-looking brown...nothing like the photo. I had to keep them because I was heading to a dude ranch that week and didn't have time to return them which I definitely would have done if time wasn't an issue. Again, fit and quality were very good and they were comfortable as we rode during the week.

When you order on line you wonder if what bought will meet your expectations. Well these boots sure did. The size and color is just what I wanted. Good quality product!

My first pair of Lucchese's and am disappointed that they are too tight. All my boots (that's all I wear) are from Sheplers and I'm disappointed that I have to pay for shipping both ways, especially at the price of these boots. With all the business I do with them one would think they would offer free returns. Am waiting for the new size to arrive and will definitely review again.

As do many others, I do a lot of shopping online. I'm almost always asked to to review the product. I never do....until now. I am inspired to do so for two reasons: first, the folks at the call center at Sheplers were terrific....very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The first pair of boots felt a bit small, and to their recommendation I ordered another pair a half size larger with the provision that I would return the pair that didn't fit and would be credited for that pair.  As to the boots, I ordered the Lonestar pair which are among the lesser priced in order to see how much I liked wearing western boots that I have been told are very comfortable. The pair I'm now wearing are precisely that...comfortable from the beginning and great looking. Next order will be for the more expensive exotic boots.  I think the good people at Sheplers understood my strategy and were just great to work with.

I have had many pairs of cowboy boots and these are the best I have owned. With the round toe and black cherry color, I can wear them with just about anything and on any occasion here in New England without looking out of place.

Bought based on Lucchese name and many recommendations on the quality of the boot. Worn for one day in and out of house and the soles of boot look horrible. Logo no longer visible, appears as though black was painted on. Contacted customer service and am very happy with their response. Hopefully once they get there the level of customer service will continue and the return or exchange will be easy. I am first time buyer from Shelpers and would buy from them again at this point but not a Lucchese boot. The rating for poor quality is for the leather soles of the boot not the leather upper of boot. I have leather sole shoes that still look great after years of wear in comparison to these.

Had to return my boots before I was able to wear them as the pull tab on one boot tore off while putting them on. Not the stitching, but the tab materiel itself. Otherwise I liked the boots except the color was off somewhat from the internet representation. I have purchased other Lucchese boots in the past and really like the fit & comfort.

This is my first pair of Lucchese boots. I took it on faith and ordered the same size I have worn in street shoes. They fit perfectly out of the box. Each time I wear them, they become more comfortable. They have the high luster of calfskin leather, are leather lined and the black stitching on the black leather stem is perfect for dress boots. I placed my order on a Saturday, requested next day air, and had them in my hands the following Tuesday. Great boots, and great service from Shepler's.

Been wearing boots pretty near my whole life and while I love them, always hated the break-in period. These boots fit like a favorite pair of jeans right out of the box. No break-in required, look great, feel great. A bit pricey, but the quality is there and I expect these will last for years to come. Shepler's outdid themselves in offering this product and in their service and fast delivery, as well.

It was great looking boot that fit way too tight. It was a 12-D that was small compared to the many other boots I own.

They are extremely shiny, the inner stitching rubs my ankles, otherwise they appear to be good quality boots. I purchased Tony Lama boots with the same order. I liked the Tony Lama’s better and they appear to be good quality boots also, with no rubbing seams.

Ita a little loose on the backside of the boot and has a diferent insole of the regular lucchese than others i have, definetly i didnt make another purchase online

I have only had them about three weeks, So far I am very happy with the way they feel.  They are a great buy.

I've had them about two weeks now and when I first put them on, they were a little narrow and felt like I was walking with a couple of 2x4s in them. After a couple of hours, they seem to have "form fitted" and are now the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. The only thing I can say bad about them is that judging from the picture on Shepler's site, they appear to be shinier then they actually are. Don't get me wrong, they are a beautiful boot, just not as shiny as I anticipated. If you are on the fence about buying them, then hurry and jump! You won't be disappointed!

My wife bought these boots for me as a Christmas gift to replace a pair of Lucchese Bart's that have served me well for many years. The shaft on these boots is so narrow that it was impossible to get the boot on. My size 11 D Bart's fit perfectly, but I simply could not get my foot in this boot, regardless of how hard I tried.

I purchased this size 13D boot set online several days ago, however; the opening (dimensions) in the shafts of the upper section of the boots are entirely too narrow and will not allow either of my feet to pass through the boot's shaft. Online merchants should advertise the dimensions in the boot's opening.

This is my second pair of Lucchese boots. Once again it was like slipping on my old buddies, the fit and feel is so good right from the get go. 

I was skeptical when others said that this boot fit seemingly right away, but it's true that the break-in time for these boots was far less than others I've owned. They look great (albeit less shiny that in the picture -- nothing some polish can't fix), and they are a perfect dress boot for a more formal look.

Boots did not come close to fitting so I returned them. Still have not gotten credit for them. Waiting to hear from you!

I shopped for a long time before deciding on the Lucchese boots that I purchased from Sheplers. They look great and the fit is like a glove. I bought a half-size larger than my normal dress shoes, but that small amount made the difference. I am very happy.

Can't go wrong with Lucchese! Remember when younger we always strived to buy the big "L" ?! The Lonestar Calf Cowboy Boots are perfect! Priced right and like their more $$$$ boots, the quality is just as good. Now have to save for another year to move up a few big "L" styles...

I gave these to my husband for Christmas and he loved them! I was worried because boots are something personal ,but I did good . I got his normal shoe size that he wears and they fit perfectly. You can see the craftsmanship and quality the second you open the box. The color was true to the picture and we both highly recommend these boots.

I'm glad I made these my first pair of boots. Fit perfect out of the box, don't even really need a break-in period. Super soft, high-quality leather and great construction. I've only had these about a month now but cannot see them falling apart any time soon.

Good arch support and heal height 1 "3/8 I believe. could use a bit more insole cushion but fixed that with Ariot insert.

I bought these boots because they were a dress type of black boot without all the white accents. The fit is perfect with no breaking in, and the comfort is out of this world. I wore them to the office the very first day, and it was perfect.

This is the second pair of these Lucchese Lonestar calf boots I've gotten for my husband. He wore the first pair daily for over three years. We even had new soles put on them once. They are soft and comfortable and can be worn all day the first day you get them. No "breaking them in " required.

This is the fourth pair I have bought. The previous were two black and one brown. These seem to be heavier, duller finish, and overall different construction? Do not seem as nice at the previous three.

I was very disappointed in these boots. Had previously ordered Nokona boots and am really happy with them, so thought I would step up to a nice pair of Lucchese's. However, the right boot was poorly made and leather was wrinkled at the front of the boot. Boot hit the ground in a corkscrew motion when I walked. So, I sent them back. Probably won't order Lucchese's again. Stick with Nocona or Dan Post.

This is the third pair of these boots. I still have all of them. Would not have bought the last pair if I didn't like the first two.

Boots had scuffed leather on the right boot above the heal. Also dirt & discolored thread on the same boots sole at the toe. Not good for $350 boots.

I was disappointed in color and the quality. I have the lucchese boots and love them but they must have been a higher grade.

Been wearing them for a couple weeks now and they've formed to my foot as expected. Incredibly comfortable with high quality construction. The walnut is dark, but it looks as advertised.

I own several pair of Lucchese boots. The material, construction, and fit was consistent with Lucchese which is fantastic. However, with this particular pair, the burnishing was inconsistent on the two boots to the point they didn't look like they were from the same pair. I'm sure this was just a minor QC issue.

These are very nice boots. Very expensive looking too. Very well put together. However be warned: the picture shows a much shinier finish, they do not quite have that high a sheen. Also the picture depicts a fairly uniform color as well. In reality there is a very slight antiqued look at the seems and edges. It's faint but it is there. These are a comfortable, expensive looking boot that you will be very pleased with. This review is for the walnut color.

Boots were comfortable from the moment I first put them on. I have nothing but good to say about the boots and the whole order process through the Boot Barn.

They don't feel like Lucchese Boots. They are stiff and uncomfortable even after a week of breaking in. I love Lucchese Boots and have 12 pair and some other brands. These do not feel like $300+ boots.

I bought these boots a month ago an I am very happy that I bought them. For instance, I wore them for more than 4 hours and because of their comfort, I did not realize I was warring them. Thus, I would strongly recommend them to anyone who love cowboy boots or has never worn a pair of cowboy boots before.

It was time to re-sole my brown dress boots but after 9 previous re-soles, my repair guy said "they're done". Never owned Luccheses before, nor I have I spent this much on boots since a pair of Larry Mahan's in the 80's. They felt like they had been on my feet forever after one day! When my black dress boots are shot, I know what's in my future!

I really like the Lucchese boots. But they are a little short on quality, and the sizing has no standards. It is almost like a must to try on in the store to get the correct fit. However Sheplers has always given me exactly what I ordered, on time.

Fantastic boot, quality leather and craftsmanship. I would expect nothing less form Lucchese... Comfortable and great looking, these boots will last me a long time...I am an Airline Pilot and i'm on my feet all day...I wanted to get away from the Roper style and buy a more traditional western boot. Obviously a quality boot. Actual boot came a little shinier than the pics suggest. They almost look fake but still very nice dress boot. The ankle stitching on the outside of each boot rubbed my ankles raw. Hopefully I can get them broken in soon to eliminate that.

I like cowboy hats so I recently bought a custom hat. Wife told me I had to have western boots and belt to go with it. So after looking and reading reviews I decided on these in black. It was a pleasant surprise as to how they fit and the comfort. Getting tired of the wife being right. Will be ordering a brown pair in the near future.
