    The selection of colors and fabric weights available surpasses any retail stores. I have found the true Indigo blue jeans and in the Heavy weight fabric that I was buying back in the 60's. The product doesn't have as low of a waist but the fit is outstanding.

    I don't want to sound downbeat when the goal of marketing is to show the buyers as young and vibrant- but I'm a below the knee amputee and wear a prosthesis. The prosthesis is wider than my natural leg and so the straight leg jeans I used to wear won't fit -- but boot cut jeans do fit. There are plenty of companies making clothing for people with adaptive devices, but a simple pair of boot cut jeans are cost effective and high quality.

    The 505 and 517 Levi's purchased online were made of thinner material than those purchased in the local stores. Maybe if these styles were manufactured in the USA, at a reasonable cost, the consistency would be more uniform.

    I am 66 years old and have been wearing Levis since I was 5 from the Levi-Strauss catalogue. There were only button fly Levis with no 501 number, because button fly was the only kind available. I have been wearing Levis for 61 years. Now I have an orthotic boot that I must wear for the rest of my life and my 517 Levis Boot Cut jeans are perfect for me. They are the only jeans that will go over my boot. I live in them, and would recommend them to everyone who needs a boot cut jean.

    We are ranchers and spend a lot of time in the saddle, the crotch to the waist seems shorter causing some discomfort. We miss the 7 belt loops because our knife case slips about. We have noticed that sizing varies quite a bit, you almost have to try them on anymore..15 years ago a 30x32 was just that, all the time!

    Ive been wearing jeans for a long while...Im 72 years old. Earlier in life, I wore a less expensive brand and found the fit acceptable. One piece of information I never knew until I started buying Levi jeans was that jeans should be turned inside out to be washed and dried. And since Ive been buying Levi brand jeans and turning them inside out, they do not fade (or at least have not yet begun to fade). Levi 517 boot cut jeans fit me better at the waist than other brands and allow me to wear boots or shoes without being flared too much. Just learning that jeans should be turned inside out to wash and dry has made a difference in the durability of the jeans. I now own 6 pair of Levi 517 jeans and they are my daily wear since I am retired from work. They are very comfortable and the watch pocket is a convenient place to keep some things separate from the front pocket and easier to retrieve.

    I've had levi's boot cut jeans for many,many years. They fit perfect and last for years. I want to say if your a boot person this is for you, but it looks like their not selling them anymore. I think I bought the last three pair... Hope I'm wrong. Levi's are the best money can buy..

    I've worn Levis for 50 years years. 501's and 517's have always been my favorites. I recently ordered 2 pair of 517's in my normal 30" length. They're way long! I measured them and they are 33" in length! Levi's haven't been the same, ever since they began outsourcing them to other countries. They don't wear well, the sizes vary from pair to pair. They're thinner and built cheaper than they used to be. The price keeps going sky high while the quality and consistancy is taking a dive. Levi has lost their quality control! I've began buying other brands that wear well and are consistant in their fit.

    I wore Levi's Boot Cut Jeans for years, beginning when they were Saddleman Jeans in the 70s, and loved the weight of the denim, the fit and the feel of them. I was in the outdoor recreation (climbing, mountaineering, hiking, etc.) business for years where it was advantageous to wear outdoor industry brands. I left that business about a year ago and returned to Levi's as a wardrobe staple. I bought a pair of 517s in Rinse and couldn't be happier. The 14.5 oz. denim is heavy enough for long-lasting durability and to drape well over boots. I love the fit and, especially in the rich blue of the Rinse color, the way they look on me. The 517s are like restoring a friendship with a dear friend, gone too long.

    I Bought 2 pair of Levis 517 boot cut jeans and I love them. I am 59 years old and the only jeans I have bought since I was in High school is Levis. My opinion is they are the best jeans on the market and the best quality. My jeans last way over 1 year and I wear them everyday for work and everything else.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never been a big fan of jeans because the material as well as the fit can make me feel uncomfortable, this jean have a little bit of an oversized inseam,, the length is perfect, the material is stiff as always, and the whole jean fit seems loose, but I won't be wearing them very often, I suspect I'll only be wearing them once in a while.

    In the last few years, many of our local stores have closed that carry the LEVI brand and I have driven as far as 100 miles to find Levis for my husband. He will only wear 517 Boot Cut Levis and not everyone carries them. Often, if I find Levis, they do not carry this style or are sold out. I went onlline, found them, clicked and ordered them. They arrived just as they were supposed to, and he is already wearing them. You bet, I will be a return customer to your website.

    Love these jeans-was told by others that Levi didn't make them anymore. Then I did some research and ran across them at Sheplers. Need to be careful as they tend to shrink up a little on the first wash. Only downside is that they don't come in black!

    I bought these for work to protect my legs. The new ones are so thin the wind blows right thru them. My old wore out jeans are at least twice as thick as the new ones. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I buy things for the quality not for the price. I will have to go looking for someone that is not cutting on quality.

    I have been waiting a long time for someone to have these slim-fit stretch jeans in stock in my size (38x36) For some reason, nobody carries 38x36-they have 36x36 and 40x36 but only 38x34! Great jeans-comfortable and tough.

    I bought two pairs of these jeans, since I had found a pair in a store a couple of years ago. I loved how they looked, and fit. These new ones, do not fit even close to the old ones. One pair is black, the other is Rigid - Dark wash. They're both supposed to be a 32" length, neither one of them are at 32". One pair is even longer than the other! I measured the inseam on both, and one pair is at 32 1/2", and the other is at 33 1/2". Granted, they are different colors, but how can two pairs of the same 517 jeans be so far off? I work in Manufacturing, and understand that it's nowhere near perfect, and I can live with being off a half inch, but to be off a whole inch and a half?!?! They totally missed the mark, and unfortunately, have probably lost themselves a customer. It's just a shame because nicer designed Boot Cut Jeans seem like they're harder and harder to find.

    Permanently creased. This is the second time in a row I have received my jeans having a sharp crease down the front and back of both legs. This may be from packaging/storage or whatever, but it sucks and I am very disappointed. To be clear, the previous pair is a year old and despite many wearing & washings, the creases have never gone away.

    I wear Levis everday and have for as long as I can remember. I buy the Rigid Indigo as I like to break them in myself. I wish that Levi would go back to the seven belt loops like they use to have as the jeans had a better feel and smoother look at the waist. When new, the inseam is a little long, but they shrink up some and fit better. Still the BEST jeans made!

    I bought 2 pairs of 517 jeans, the stonewashed fit perfectly - but the black pair are marked as 30 waist and actually 29 (I checked against a pair of 29) and they don't run small - they are marked wrong...

    How can I order jeans that will fit when the sizes are unpredictable??? Ordered 35 x 32 517 jeans. On arrival, find them VERY long. Compare them to another pair of 517 35 x 32 NEW, still with tags jeans. The just received jeans are 1 1/2 inches longer than the older, never worn or washed, pair.

    These jeans are more comfortable and fit better than any others he's tried. They fit a slim build correctly but without being uncomfortable thanks to the stretch fabric. If you want a great looking pair of jeans that fit to a T and comfortable to boot, these will fit the bill.

    I love my boot cut 517 jeans. They came in rigid as I like them. Washed them once and they fit much better then washed them again and now they fit me and my boots like I want them to! Great for work or going out on a date. The old style rigid always come a little large so they can shrink to fit tour body not just any . Joe that puts them on. They're YOUR LEVIS!!!!

    The Slim Boot Cut Jeans that I received arrived as promised and as soon as I put them on I knew I made a wise purchase. They fit like a glove and since they were stonewashed, they were soft and very comfortable. I am going to order another pair. If you like the comfort of jeans that you have broken in but didn't, order stonewashed!

    I bought these for my husband who wears through jeans pretty quickly and these are holding up well, however the one problem we have is they do not come out of the dryer wrinkle free. Not that he really minds since they're for work, but a bit of a challenge if you don't want wrinkles.

    I wear boots often and the 517's are great for that. These are the only model jeans I've been wearing for over 40 years. Very few jeans come anywhere close to the quality of an old school Levi's 517. Keep it up. They should stock more Levi's 517's in the stores, as they seem to be getting harder and harder to find.

    I have worn Levis since 1944 as my primary dress at work and very other occasion except formal wear. In all those years I have weathered through various changes in cut, materials used and settled about three or four years ago on the bootcut 517's. The two new pairs received last week hit me square between the eyes. I thought Levi's had mis-marked size or model, but the tags sewn in say they are 517's. The problem seems that the dimension from waistband to crotch has changed or I have shrunk three inches from my waist to my crotch. The Levis I have to now wear are either baggy in the crotch or the waistband had to be at my belly button to be able to walk or sit down comfortably. Now I will have to go to a local outlet for Levi's and see what model/style is best for me.

    The jeans were perfect. Ordering online was the easiest way for me to get the jeans my wife wanted because so many stores do not carry the 517 line. I will definitely use the Levi's online store in the future.

    I have been wearing 517 on & off and I must say it gives you the best look if you are fond of wearing boots. They are little tight in front pockets but gets better with wearing a belt. Sadly, not in fashion these days.

    I bought 4 pairs of these about two years ago. I tried some new ones on in the store last week. Same size, same jean. I was actually wearing a two year old pair when I was in the store. The length was about 2-3 inches longer and the thighs were extremely tight and the material was so thin, I'd tear it in a heart beat. Where is the quality control and quality material that used to be there? I'm going to have to find another brand now.

    I have been wearing Levi’s 517 boot cut for years. I wear a 35x34 and they quit making that size. Now I have to move on to a different brand jeans because they won’t make my size anymore.

    I've worn boot cut for work & play from the beginning of this line.. Rigid style are work heavy & maintain color longest. Boot cut jeans w/ side tool pockets would be a welcomed addition .

    These jeans give with body movement. The crease stays sharp, which is an old cowboy requirement. The color lasts. The Levi quality is there. Even when they are almost worn out, they still look like a comfortable, well-loved pair of jeans. Only thing I have a problem with is that they wear across the front of the thighs and the creases in the legs. That is where they first begin to get thin. I think that is due to the lycra in them. But, that is forgivable, as they are the most comfortable jeans on the planet. And, best of all, Scheplers price is right.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 517 flex boot cut were the best. Held color and wore great. Lasted to long is probably why they stopped making the Flex type.

    My husband has bought this same jean/style/size for YEARS as he is slim and these (used to) fit. We bought 2 pair recently and they are AWFUL. They are loose, baggy, very little stretch, and the denim is DIFFERENT - more like another brand rather than the Levis we are used to. He has tried to salvage them by boiling them to try to shrink them. They may be wearable, but still don't fit properly. Needless to say we are very disappointed and now have to start looking again for a jean that actually fits.

    Have worn LEVIs for 60 yrs. and like the way they fit. I am disappointed in the quality of jeans received as 1 pair has a fair density material and the other pair seem like a poor quality and thinner material.

    I feel like I'm 17 again in these jeans. Also, working in an office where I am the only male with 17 females, and seeing their reactions, verbal and non when I walked in the 1st day wearing these 517's was priceless. They feel as if they are made for "me" and my physique. Makes you walk a little taller knowing that people take notice when you're in you're "razor feel cut jeans". I wore boots when I was 17, and have been shopping for a pair, which would only augment "my" feeling of being "completely attired" however, they're not necessary to get that young at heart feeling when you pull these on and button the top. Add a t-shirt, preferably microfiber of some type, and it's rock and roll. These are heaven! I plan on 5 more pair making it a total of 7, so I will have a fresh pair for each day of the week! Kudos to Sheffler's. This company, does what others cannot even accomplish. DELIVER QUALITY!

    I ordered four different pairs of jeans one week apart and all of them did not fit with the same size that I’ve been for the last two years. Oh my other jeans and pants are the same size. I had to return one of them what a nightmare

    I found that the 35" waist is too big (measures 36 - 37). I'd recommend that if you are ordering that you go down one size. Other than that, these are still great jeans at a reasonable price.

    I bought these for my son in-law. He wares 30 x 34 which is such a difficult size to find. These where perfect. Fit was great and they look fabulous. I wish your sight could search by size. I had to look at every single jean for size.

    Jeans are great, glad I can still get "grown up jeans" (517 boot cut). Why cant you get the dye to stay. I like dark rigid denim. I don't wash them very often. My hands and anything I sit on are blue. No other clothes I own do this, black blue or red. Why oh why can't you get the dye to stay?

    I have been wearing a flared type Levi for over 40 years. they had the bell bottom then the baby bell then the flare. Its the only Levi I have worn and I have only worn Levis.     These jeans are just too big overall and way too long. I normally take a 34 waist by 33 long, but these jeans are 34 x 34 and just about 2 inches too long. Not a good fit.

    Perfect rigid denim. Slight flare at the bottom to fit over your boots, but not a bell bottom! Great fit, doesnt sag or appear droopy in the seat. Not high waisted, also not a hip hugger. Classic cowboy styling, for lack of a better term! I soaked these in hot water for 20 minutes and then hung them dry. (1) There is a lot of blue dye left in the yarn, so if you turn them inside out and hot soak them, they will darken considerably. (2) This denim is raw and rigid. It's a medium weight, but quite dense and stiff. After hanging to dry, my jeans could literally stand up on their own. For the first few weeks, wearing them felt a little like wearing a wetsuit. If you like the feel of rigid denim, you will love these. If you want soft jeans, you can wash them 2 or 3 times before wearing them and they will soften up and lose the smoothness. (3) These will shrink some. I lost an inch of inseam. A perfect shrink to fit Rigid Levi’s Thankyou Country Outfitter!

    Would you please "Bring Back"...your low rise Boot-Cut Levi Jeans. The one's that look really nice and have a real nice fit, for the middle aged and older men. When a man begins to get the belly hang-over, the regular waist fit jeans crotch, ends up almost to their knees-----and really looks horrible. I really am not looking forward to checking out all of the other brands, after all of these many, many years of ONLY BUYING Levi's for my husband and mostly Levi's for myself. I also might add that all four of my kid's grew up wearing Levi's. Please don't let us down.......

    My waist is a tight 36 and I thought of ordering 38s but I talked to a gal in customer service and she explained that they would stretch out...So, I took her word and sure enough they are expanding a little more each week...I couldn't be happier. Thanks again.

    I have a pair of slim bootcut. I have gained some weight, and they fit a little snug. So, I decided to buy a pair of the regular bootcut. They are just as snug as the slim. Not sure if the design has changed since I bought my slim, but the regular should be looser than the slim. Quality is still great, but I had to return to find a better fit.

    I'm a 65yo "Boomer" and proud of it. I've worn Levi's since the early 60's. Bell bottoms, flares and 517 Bootcut! Many things have changed in those years, including Levi's. The quality could be better but they are still better than other brands. I'll probably be buried in my Levi's. Just wish you still made 33L.

    Ater almost a zillion years of purchasing the 517 boot cut, Levi made the upper legs wider by a couple of inches. When a tall, large man who has a 42" waist, and a 34" inseam, but this large man has thin upper legs, the pipes make it look like he is wearing a dress. I purchased all the OLD 517 I could find before Levi changed their style. Now this poor man has to look elsewhere for his favorite jeans. Any possibility the old style will ever come back????? Or maybe Levi could make a 42x34 slim pair, we sure would buy a bunch Thank you Helen Reichsrath

    I bought two pair of these last summer in 35x30. They are much to long. Now you don't have any size 35 waist and the shortest size 36 are 32 inches long. I guess it's time to look at another brand. Hate to leave but I need clothes that fit!
