517 The best jeans ever. Good heavy denim & wash vgood. Cant get them in bolivia and levis wont post them.

i bought these a couple days ago in size 36W 32L and these jeans are 3-4 inches longer than my current 36W 34L size jeans.

Waited 3 day longer to get than was told. 2inches longer than I wear although tag size was correct.

I returned them with Happy Returns. It was very convenient.

I bought 2 pair of these ..same size different color. One pair fits great but the other pair is 2-3 sizes smaller!! This is why I hate to shop online ..

I am a lifeguard and rescue diver, and LIVE in these Levis and in Water. Levis 517 have great construction and fit, which only improves when they are broken in -- in water. My 517's never see a washing machine nor dryer - and always maintain the same dependable, rugged 'swim-fit', as though they have memory.... and this is due to the way I break them in. First, I buy my waist size or a little more snug. Then, I add 2" to the length to allow for draw-up and shrinkage and tapered them to a 13.5 inch leg opening so they fit like men's 512 used to. All this creates a slim fit, snug/tight dive jean that is slightly stretchy and molds to your body to become your second skin in water -- and when worn dry. And, they retain their great fit and awesome good looks. Levis 517 are dependable water gear -- especially in open water and protect you from cuts, scrapes and stings, and excessive sun. Pair them with a lycra rash guard top or neoprene top and you have the famous "Top and Levis'. When it warms up, you can remove your top and swim in just your 517s and fins. And, they are essential poolside, too ... when I have pool deck duty, I wear can wear them with a sport coat or golf shirt for meetings -- but ditch the shirt and coat and dive into the deep end for a quick rescue or an assist. Levis 517's versatility keep you fully prepared to do water rescue in an instant - no more 'suiting up' which wastes valuable time. I've worn 517s since the Saddleman days. I have a pair of khaki ones with a splash of spandex I bought a few years ago for "dressy" occasions and would like a new pair. Please bring them back!

I've been buying the all cotton 517s for many years and I was basically satisfied. I wear them to work every day and usually on the weekends working around the house or riding my Harley. I gave the stretch version a try. WOW! I should have bought them years ago. Very comfortable and look great. Much more comfortable to bend down or kneel. I read someone got a pair with thin front pockets; not mine. The front pockets are thick durable material. The stitching looks first rate and very durable. I liked the first pair so much, I bought two more pairs. All 3 pairs fit great and are very comfortable. Its nice to have a waist band that gives a little. Buy with confidence.

Always liked Levi 517 jeans. The mall stores don't carry that type, so I'm glad that Scheplers does.

The pants have 7 belt loops which is 2 more than other jeans. I had been looking for boot cut jeans of the old style (not hip huggers) for a long time. They came in a incredible short time. Ordered on Monday delivered the same Thursday. Incredible as I am in Canada.

Bought a couple pairs of Regular 517 and 3 pairs of Premium 517 Black Jeans and the look and feel are awesome, perfect match to my Snake skin and Lizard skin Cowboy Boots.

I bought these jeans for my husband, who requested the 517 boot cut jeans. However, he says that the jeans he received say "slim" on them. He wanted a regular fit "boot-cut" jean. So now I have to figure out how to return them.

517 Bootcut jeans ... truly good fit, well-designed and constructed with great material. Great complement to whatever great pair of boots one might choose.

Inseams are crooked, the material blend shrinks much faster and more than ever.

Still a great pair of pants.Wish I could have baught them in my favorite color INDIGO.Most pairs of levis I have baught were always in INDIGO. Also prices are way to high.

My husband has always worn Levis 517 Rigid Indigo. He is now wearing 517 Boot Cut Stretch and really likes how comfortable they are.

This is the first pair of jeans that REALLY fit my husband who needs a really slim fit- but not in the lo-rise!!

My husband loves the 517's and they fit him well. Since most of the colors were sold out I tried the rigid. Just like buying Levi's when were were kids -- stiff and needed to be washed before wearing. No problem, except that they shrunk in length, making them unwearable because they are now waders. Would like to see a caveat in the description letting folks know to order longer due to shrinkage in this color way.

I believe the 517's stretch boot cut are a great product.

As a working rancher, this old style Levi jean is a needed tool. The reduction in available inventory in the range of sizes is disappointing.

This jeans are supposed to be a slim fit and they are not. I have purchased these jeans for my husband before and they fit perfectly so I am not sure why these jeans do not fit at all. They are big in the waist,the seat and the legs. They are also too long, even with his boots. They have a button closure as well as the zipper and he had a hard time getting them unbuttoned.

I ordered these not really expecting to like them. They are called "slim boot cut jeans" but they are basically the same boot cut jeans Levi's has always had. I was really hoping they'd fit like the two pairs of 507's I found a couple years ago at a Levi's outlet (now discontinued and apparently extinct). They didn't. They aren't nearly slim enough. I don't doubt they are high quality, like most Levi's, but they aren't what I wanted. I'm sure that I'm not alone in wishing Levi's would bring back the 507. I'd pay a lot for those.

I have been wearing 517's for years .. I wear 32 x 34 and the sizes are not the same as they were only a year ago. The fabric is lighter the color is not the same even the beltloops are thin and weak. Do they send out lower quality jeans for the 40% of sales or somthing? I am NOT happy !! The 517 medium stonewash I bought this week are NOT the same as the ones I bought a year ago !! NOT HAPPY !!

Bought online since can not find in stores anymore. Fit is different than my older pairs. Have bought 517 Bootcut for over 30 years and these do not fit the same and material is thinner, almost flimsy

Finally a pair of jeans that fit my long lanky teenage son. Wish I could have gotten a 31 inseam, but he is still growing.

Finding the right style has been a challenge for me. I will try a more relaxed fit even though I'm thin. Sizes seem to run large or small so it's difficult to order by mail as I have been doing. Otherwise, I still love Levi's after all these years....

I was so happpy to find these Slim Fit Levi's at Shepler's. Now my husband won't look like he's wearing someone else's jeans! He has Levi's that are the same size, just not Slim Fit. These jeans fit him like a glove with no bagging in the seat and legs. Gotta love Levi's!

Easy on line shopping to find the right color, size and model of your classic jeans. The material is medium weight but very stiff. Will take many wearing to “break in” and become soft and comfortable.

I guess my only complaint is that the back pockets are a little too low, making it uncomfortable if you keep your wallet there when your are sitting.

I've worn Levi's all my life. It was truly a let down, I put them on and it felt like I was wearing parachute pants. Plus it is truly disappointing to have to wait up to a month before they refund my money. They are quick to make you pay put slow to return your money. Truly disappointing, will not recommend to anyone.

Maybe Levi's best kept secret. A heavy weighted yet stretchy denim (there's a little polyester) that gradually settles into a great fit around your legs, and one of the most vibrant indigo dyes I've seen on a pair of jeans. No fake wear & tear, no flimsy dishcloth weight like most men's denim these days, a true blue old standard. Just don't get too close to a hot stove or campfire bc the polyester will melt.

Sadly, they're becoming hard to find. Both myself, and my son, wear only the 517, dark stonewash jeans. They're durable, and fit like a pair of jeans is supposed to fit, unlike the tight legged pants some dare I call them men wear, these days.

Farm use

I'm sure the quality is good but the sizing is way off. They are definitely not what I would consider a slim fit. They were very baggy on my husband. Exchanged for wranglers and the fit was much better. Guess it all depends on how slim you need them to be.

Love the 517's style, but the waste sizing is huge. I'm hoping after a few hot washings the waste will shrink.

Had to wash and use softener to wear,fit was a little tight .Possible the difference in material from regular jeans.

I have another pair of levis that fit alright at 32x32, but they're a lighter blue and not really my style. My favorite pair of jeans ever was a dark blue pair of bootcut 32x34s so I was hopeful when I bought these. Big mistake. They are way too long, leave room at the waist, and sit way too high. For illustration see the photos of my 1-year-old pair of 32x32 Levis compared to these. Does Levi not know how to measure? What a waste of time and money.

The jeans a bought online are well made like Levis uesd to be. They actually fit true to size and are very comfortable and look great. I like the stitching also.

I purchased 3 pair of 517's, different colors, and had them shipped...everything is fine but the black pair has two different lengths legs.

A pair of levis used to last years but now I can barely get a year out of them before something rips. My last 2 pairs, which I bought last spring, are already worn out, or in the case of one pair the zipper ripped out and they became unwearable. All this said, I ordered 2 more pair this spring but I ordered dark blue thinking they would be the crispy new levis of old. Well theyre dark blue but the material is thinner than it used to be and theres a pleat down the legs that is lighter blue than the rest of the material. Even with the diminished quality I will continue to buy Levis because again, I love the fit.

It costs about $10.00 more to have correct inseam done. Might as well say I am still paying more for a product I like because you don't have product with shorter inseams.

my husband loves these jeans, only ones he wears. only complaint is that stores dont carry them and if they do its random sizes (small, short sizes). he's an impatient man so ordering online is always a hazzle. please bring them back to stores so we can have a better shopping experience!

I’ve had several pairs of these from 1970 to November 23 2021 and I really wish you would start making more, I had to settle with some kind of western fit and sorry to say , I do not like them at all

The cloth is too thick. It should be like 527 in thickness.

Unfortunately, over the past several years, Levi's has changed the cut and fit of 517s. The upper leg is wider, the rise is longer, and the seat is much more "generous". Baggy, baggy, baggy with a crotch that hangs low, rubs, and is hard to walk in. Sloppy look!

Love the jeans. Fit over my boots ncie and look good riding on my harley. I don't have much in the rear end and these are nice and snug.

I've been using this style since I was a teenager around the 1970s like all Levi they are style, comfort, durable so they make me look good also.

I BOUGHT TW0 PAIRS OF JEANS AND BOTH WERE LONG, I MEASURES THE INSEAM AND FOUND THEM TO BE 3/4 OF AN INCH LONGER THAN I ORDERED.WASHING HELPED A LITTLE AND SINCE I ORDERED THE SHORTEST LENTH OFFERED I DIDN'T RETURN THEM. HOWEVER I CAN'T SAY I'M 100% SATISFIED.

I bought the rigid STF. Fantastic old school denim...and 7 Belt Loops. Those of u passed the time of “7 from heaven” it makes the fit and comfort a world apart from 5. Very comfortable fit similar to some of the Vintage 501s I have. Also avail in rare 35” waist. They run long.

I live in my Levi's. I'm around my horses every day, seven days a week. I grew up in Levi's, I don't care for any other brand.

these Levis are made in Mexico, legs are sewn twisted, color of stitching is 3 different colors of thread. I ordered 5 pair in a previous order and received pants from same factory with same twist and discolored stitching. I mistakenly tried to repair those before I noticed twisted legs were the problem I am returning 3 pr. for refund

I have been buying Levi's 517 for many years. They fit good (rigid boot cut) and last a long time. I especially like being able to buy the waist in size 35. I will continue to wear them as long as they make them.

I have been wearing 517s since I was a teenager. They are more like the bell bottoms of the 70s than any straight leg made. I like the way they stay close through the thighs but open up below the knee. They look sharp but are perfectly comfortable. When I was growing up in Texas, I used to wear my Justins. Now it is Skechers lol. They are cut better and have more belt loops than 505s.

I wear these jeans alot.....worth every penny in my book.....I just wish these came in other colors!!

Levi's makes jeans you can count on being what you expect; they're well made, comfortable, and they fit.

I wear the 517 style exclusively and usually buy the prewashed that fit perfectly. I tried these stretch jeans for a work jean and was disappointed with the fit after two washings. I assumed that the blend of materials would reduce the shrinkage factor. Now knowing the shrinkage factor I would recommend others to buy a 2" larger size in both waist and length (as you would for the rigid style)for the right fit after washings. The wash instructions recommend cold wash only, I do so but also use the dryer, thus the shrinkage. I purchased three of these and can no longer wear them.

I have been wearing the 517 boot cut for over 50 years. I'll really miss having them but over the years I've gotten a bit bigger but they haven't. Why stop as 38 x 36 - How about 40 or 43 x 36. Guess I'll have to start looking at different brands now.

Ordered 32 x 29 517 bootcut jeans. Inseam measured 31" and - when buttoned & zipped, could easily pull down over my hips so....not sure what waist measurement it was but not 32". Shepler rep was helpful and emailed me a courtesy return label so it didn't cost me to return. Ordered online because almost impossible to find 29" inseam in stores. So much for that plan.

I live in lakeview Oregon and there is nowhere within 100 miles to buy Levis....so I've been wearing the same pair of Levis for about a year. I finally went online and ordered a new pair! Oh joy!!! These are great pants. They have always been my favorite and always will be (although I miss super bellbottoms!) I see NO reason to ever buy any other brand.

This is my first pair of 517 boot cuts, I usually wear relaxed fit 550 with my boots and they look really nice. These boot cuts run really long on me and I wear a 34 inseam, waiting to see if they drag the floor any or catch the heal of my boots because I will not like that very much. They seem to fit really well everywhere else. Great price and Sheplers always delivers fast!

These are great jeans. I have worn Levis my entire life. They are durable, fit true and you will get many years out of a pair of Levis. I espically like the 517 Boot cut style because the fit over my cowboy and motorcycle boots without looking like a pair of bell bottoms.

Have worn Levis for 60 years and love the cut and style of the 514 for general work and riding but I miss the old thick Sail Canvas they used to make them out of. They seemed to be so much tougher back in the 50's. Why can't Levis give us this cloth again. If it cost more, charge me for it. Give me the choice.

This size is difficult to find and I was thrilled to find it at Sheplers and then to order it online was even better!

I bought this pair in the same size and style number as a pair I bought a few weeks prior. The only difference was the color. I’m not sure how a different color could make this pair incredibly smaller than the other.

I have literally been wearing Levis 517's for 19 years now, same size, same length. I have never been dissatisfied until this purchase. The fit is perfect as usual and I absolutly love the color. However, I hate the permanent pleats on the front and back of the pant legs. The last time I wore pants with pleats, I was in the Army and they were still issuing black boots then. I saw them in the pictures but assumed that the model was probably wearing an off the shelf, unwashed pair of new jeans, that had been sitting folded too long or some such. No where in the product description was there any mention of permanent pleats or I would not have purchased them. My fault, I hope this review helps people to avoid the same mistake as me as I have two pair of brand new jeans that I will not wear.

Jeans are as pictured but very heavy material. My husband didn't care for how dark they were and how the fabric felt. He said they weren't comfortable but a good jean for a cooler climate.

These jeans fit my husband to a "T". They are small in the seat which he needs, yet fit in thighs and legs.
