    Overall, Levi's, which I have been wearing for 60+ years, are no longer what they used to be. The sizes, particularly, are totally undependable. And, the sizes marked even vary among the different Levi's styles. So, you never know what you are getting, making buying online impossible.

    These are the only jeans I have worn since 2004, nothing else fits right. I wear Blue Jeans though, not Black Jeans. Please start making them in Indigo again. None of my clothes look right with black pants.

    I'm 5'8" 165. I ordered the 31 30 and they fit perfect. Actually they look like the picture. And the quality is fantastic. I read a lot of bad reviews and almost didn't order them. I'm glad I did cause these are real thing. They're what you'd expect from levis. I just got them today and I already ordered more.

    I really liked them but since they discontinued 505 they didn't fit as expected. They were much tighter and had to get some with a bigger waist.

    I'm 6'2" and picky. Searched high and low for some black bootcut pants - nothing in my size 36/36 around here. Kind of pricey but got what I wanted.

    Returns are optional but unnecessary with Levi.

    He says the rigid jeans wear better than the others; the boot cut fits better over his lace up boots. I have to shorten them by one hem width (1/2 an inch) to have them 'just perfect.' This has been going on for more than thirty years that I know of and expect he won't be changing any time soon.

    I bought the Levi's 517 jeans about a month ago and I was impressed. The quality stands out because they are heavy weight denim, have seven belt loops, and even after having them washed and pressed they still fit like a glove. I really like them and recommend them to my friends and anyone that is looking for top quality jeans.

    My size has not changed since High School - always 32x34. However, the length is more like 36 on these. Also, for a Boot Cut, the thigh is way too tight. I will not buy again.

    bought 6 pairs of wranglers, but went back to levi's. they are costlier, but the deeper pockets and cut make them my choice. make sure you get the right size, sheplers wouldn't take back 2 pairs of levi's that were the wrong size after they were washed.

    I rec. my order for 2 pair 517 rigid jeans. Not to my surprise the waist measurement was a little off, but the inseam was way off. I ordered 44waist 32inseam, inseam measured on one pair 34 1/4 the other pair 34 1/2. I don't know if I will buy this product again. What happened to QUALITY CONTRAOL ??

    I no longer can buy the length I wear. I'm 5'5" and a 30" length feels like i'm wearing pajamas rather than a pair of Levi's. For years I wore 31x29 but getting older now need 32x29. I did notice that you make that length for the obese, however I don't want to get overweight to wear jeans that fit. Very disappointed.

    I fell in love with the older version of the 517 and the new ones are nothing like the older ones. I'm not concerned with the gauge of the denim. I'm talking strictly about the fit. After reviewing the reviews it's easy to see that a little over 10% of the customers (that have reviewed) agree with me. That's not a huge percentage but converted into market share overall, there is loss. Nothing wrong with new cuts but don't change the old ones and use the same numbers. Bring back the real 517. PLEASE!!!!

    Recently, I ordered 2 517 Levi jeans - one rinsed indigo and the other medium stonewash. The rinsed indigo were way larger than the medium stonewashed and now I have to traipse out to my not so local Levi Store and replace them. Not too happy about this inconsistency in your sizing. What's the deal?

    I wear Levis most of the time. They are comfortable and, with a jacket, will pass for "business" attire most places. I have had some problems in the past with there being a real variance in the legnth. This did not occur with this set. I got the "rinsed" versus the "rigid" this time.

    The description says Relaxed -- sure, but I find these to be huge. It's like I have mud flaps hanging off my thighs. The pictures show a much more trim fit.

    Great jeans and a feel great on. The waist and inseam sizes are actually a little bigger than indicated; I normally wear a 35 inch waist and a 33 inch inseam in solid bootcut and I find that by ordering a size smaller (34 inch waist and 32 inch inseam) they fit perfectly.

    I have worn Levi's for as long as I could afford to buy them for myself. I have always appreciated them for their fit and durability. When they do start to fade too much for street clothes, they are still excellent for work jeans. I can still get probably another six months wear out of them. For the price, they can't be beat.

    I have wore Levi's for the past 60 years and have never changed to any other pants. They are the most durable long lasting pants on the market. Only problem is that I am short legged so the length has to be shortened but other than that they are the best.

    I ordered 3 pair of these jeans in a 33X30 and the waist is somewhat larger but the legnth is way to long and I was hoping for a smaller butt size but that was large too. Are there any jeans for a man that hasn't got an oversized butt. I am so sick of seeing young and old men wearing jeans that don't fit the butt. I hought these jeans would be different. I should have ordered a 30X28!

    Quality of workmanship is evident. Fabric is soft yet tough. Leg width is perfect for covering snow boots. I like the "fits at waist" rather than below.

    This pair of jeans has a comfortable seat and legs that fit over my boots. These jeans are not tight in the thighs and do not pinch the circulation ofrf like other models. Plus they do not look like "MOM" jeans.

    I order a pair of 517s (most if not all of my jeans are 517s). I ordered 34X30, the tag on the back says 34X30, I found them to by a little long. So I washed & dryed them thinking they might shrink a little. NO, still a little long. I measured the them and found that they were 34X31 AFTER the wash/drying.

    i orderd 38 x 29 because i like the jeans to sit right on the laces of boots. I AM 5'10 and these fit like a 32 length even though the jeans clearly said 29. I was really looking forward to these jeans. Thank you LEVIS FOR LETTING ME DOWN.

    I got these because I wanted a pair of boot cut jeans that looked great with pointed toe cowboy boots.  I also wanted a tighter fit with stretch.  These won all around.  The only change I wish they would make is to do them with a lower rise/waist in the same fabric.

    Levi's 517 stretch - My new favorite jeans

    Went to Sheplers last week looking for Wranglers 936 slim fits. Tried them on and they just didn't work with my body, too high in the waist. On a whim I tried on the Levi's 517 stretch, 34X36 jeans and couldn't believe my eyes as well as the way they fit. The waist came up to just the right height and the length was just a little long which is good for boots. The best part was the fit and the stretch. I can wear these tight, just like I like them and still bend and stretch with no problems what so ever. Im not kidding, these are the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn and I'm a guy who likes them tight, just like how cowboys used to wear them. I also really like the way the waist fits. From the hips up to the top of the waist band the fit is straight up, not as tall but kind of like Wranglers and not like 501s which cut off the circulation at the belly. After washing they became a little different shade of blue and look good. I took them to a tailor and trimmed up the boot cut so its not so big and that cost was minimal. They truly are my new favorites! I just ordered two more pair yesterday.
