    517 slim fit disappointment

    I recently ordered a pair of Levi's 517 Slim-Fit Boot-cut jeans only to be disappointed. They were not what I expected. The legs are the exact size as with the regular 517 boot cut jeans. In order to get the crotch to fit in the proper position, you have to pull the jeans almost to the middle of your chest, otherwsae the crotch is almost to your knees. I was informed that the regular 517 boot cut jeans have been discontinued and replaced with the 527 boot cut jeans. NOT a good idea. Levi's Jeans, you are making a BIG mistake. Bring back the regular 517 Boot Cut Jeans. I am 53 now and have work Levi's Jeans for most of that time. I may have to go to Wranglers or some other no-name brand to get the fit I like!!!!

    Been wearing Levi 517 stretch for years. Recieve many compliments and inquiries about where I purchased. I'm constantly accused of ironing my jeans because of the permanent crease and have been given the nickname "Crease" by my motorcycle group. Have not been able to find these jeans anyplace but Sheplers. Definitly recommend. Good fit and great with boots.

    I can't find jeans in my size in department stores. I have a 31" waist and 34 inseam. I like the boot cut and the "butt" actually fits. Thanks for the great jeans.

    I agree with the gentleman that rated one star titled... Disappointed. I wear a 31x36, but your 31 waist pants only come in a 34 length... Argh! Everything about the pants is fine, except the length! People, in general, are getting taller. Please add 31x36 to your product lines!

    I believed I was ordering 100% cotton. What I got was 65% cotton and 35% polyester which don’t last me as long as 100% cotton Levi western boot cut 517 I love.

    This jean has a very nice slim boot-cut that is hard to find in affordable jeans. I love the fit. I only wish it was available in more washes.

    both pair of pants I purchased were improperly folded and had been for enough time that the improperly placed creases on the darker pair are obvious as if they (the creases) are faded to a noticeably lighter color, and will not iron out. disappointing.

    these jeans are good but not as good as the older orange tab jeans. these need more belt loops and the rear pockets need to be raised to where the orange tab jeans had them, then they would fit better. the front pockets need to be redesigned to be like the orange tab jeans. basically i prefer the older ones obviously. but seeing you don't make them anymore these will have to do...thank you

    In jeans, I've only bought Levi's since I was a kid. I looked in stores, but nobody carried the boot cut jeans. It was not even easy to find them on the Levis website, since they are not the popular fashion. But, ordered them here, they shipped RIGHT AWAY, and are the same fit and feel as I've known for so long! Jeans just feel great!

    This pair of 517's was made in El Salvador and has very good workmanship and excellent tightly woven fabric. A little tight in the waistband compared to other pairs I own. My last pair (also purchased from Shepler's) was made in Mexico had similarly good workmanship and the best fit yet.

    I bought a pair of 32x34, I wear a 32 waist in 4 other brands of pants. These are so small around the waist that the button wouldn't even touch the hole for the button on the other side. Order 2+ sizes above what you would normally wear. I cannot post a picture because I couldn't even get them on all the way. "Quality never goes out of style". Won't be ordering 517's again.

    I wish Levi would make these in America. The size is not even close to being accurate. I wear a 32 -34 waist and a 36 inseam, so I bought a 34 and a 36 waist with a 34 inseam, thinking whichever fit I would exchange the other for the same size. What a thought. The inseam was GREAT!!!! The 36 didnt even come close to buttoning around my waist. I am tall and NOT fat!!!! So I sent them back for an exchange for a 38 waist. Haven't gotten them yet, will wait and see if these fit!!!

    I bought two pairs for these jeans. One pair fits decent the other pair (same size same inseam) is way too large. Tags all say the right size but I am cuffing the jeans over an inch and I have to wear a belt to lose them.

    These pants are the best fitting pair of pants I have found since Levis changed the cut of the 501's in the 90's. The flare is a little small for my taste but I have big feet and I happily wore Levis Big bells for years. They are also made of a good weight denim.

    Shipped as advertised. It's like shopping for jeans 40 years ago. They are stiff as a board and not prewashed with a crease down the middle. The only reason I ordered these is for the 7 loops. Just hope they will come up with more styles with extra loops.

    I've had Levis jeans last for years. One of the pairs purchased recently began to tear after wearing six times and washing three times (not on a seam), on the inner thigh area. Fortunately it was replaced under warranty. We'll see how long the replacement lasts.

    The men's 517 jean fabric used to have an elastic component that was very helpful to get a comfortable fit.(65% cotton/ 35% polyester). The recent pair I bought does not have an elastic component (71% cotton/ 29% polyester).

    My husband loves these jeans - lives in these jeans. They fit well and are very durable. He can keep his shirt tail tucked in. They are not baggy and we don't get to view the "plumbers crack" when he bends over. But they are getting to be impossible to find in the stores around here. Thank goodness I can still get them on line.

    The Levi's 517 stretch boot cut are the slim fit and are very tight I'm going to have to return them. I've gotten older and like the comfort better than the slim cuts. I've been wearing levijeans for 25 years and really like them. Anyone that's trim and slim I would highly recommend these jeans

    I am 73 years old and have had a love affair with Levis since I was a sophomore in high school. That's 57 years. We've had our ups and downs over the years with primarily a good fit. The quality has on the most part has been very good. These 517 bootcut jeans are great. The stonewash gives the broken in look and feel.

    I like these....I haven't washed them yet but I think they'll fit fine after I do. The stretch is nice it gives some room for shrinkage with washing that I wouldn't have on a regular pair. They came a good three inches too long and I had to have them hemmed (34 x 32). only con. Otherwise I'd recommend.

    Jeans arrived, tried them on, wife said my butt looks good in them. Material is a little lighter weight that the old 517's I have, (They are about 10+ yrs old) but other than that I very happy with them.
