Online experience great. Hem on bottom of pants shorter than my last 501's. They curl up due to short hem length. This is disappointing. Would be better if Levi's went back to hemline that worked for decades.

I don’t know if the blurb about these pants was silent regarding the button fly and everyone is supposed to just know that they come with a butterfly, but I would never in 1 million years knowing we buy a butterfly jean. I also believe they were longer than labeled because they are visibly longer than all my other pants of the same size. However the fabric is great and the color is great and the fit in the waste butt and thighs is great

I ordered three pair of Levi’s, one Stay Dark Indigo Rinse, and two Rinse. Two pair arrived in perfect condition, but one pair of Rinse had stitching missing in two places on left rear pocket. Sadly, I didn’t notice until after washing. Pictures attached.

I washed these jeans the second time with my usual liquid soap and white streaks have come out all over,as if it wasn't dyed properly.This has been a constant mishap with black jeans from levis,it's normal to have fading,but the white streaks look really bad,as if it was washed with a powder detergent that didn't mix in the wash.But I always use mild liquid soap.

Quality on par with Wranglers and Lee jeans I own. Compared to older Levi’s I still have, the fabric seems lighter and the pockets are definitely smaller. Since I carry my iPhone 11 max and sometimes my wallet (for security) in my front pockets, I needed that extra room. Overall, enough to recommend but personally will shop around.

I bought a pair of 32/29 and they were too tight in the waist, the length wasn't bad. So i bought the next size up 33/30 there isn't a 33/29 - they were huge the waist was too big, they are super baggie and WAY too long. It was as if I bought jeans 4 sizes bigger. I can't believe 1 size up was so much bigger.

I have worn 501's for over sixty years. Over the years a lot of products change. In years past there was only the shrink-to-fit now you can buy 501's that don't shrink. That is handy. I like the button fly instead of the zipper. The way the jeans sit on my waist and the straight legs. What can I say I've had sixty years to get used to them.

I miss the double stitch inseam and the denim from years ago, but these are still the best jeans for me. I don't follow the common shrink to fit recommendations. I buy 1 size big in the waist and 3 sizes big in length, machine wash hot and machine dry hot. They fit perfectly. A little twist in the right leg on my latest pair. Too bad but not too bad.

I don't know why you even bother putting sizes on your products. They mean nothing! I have a pair of 501's that are marked 36 x 32. They are a little short, so I bought a pair that were marked 36 x 34. They are a full 6" longer that the original pair. Have you ever heard of Quality Control?

I have worn nothing but Levi 501 Button Fly Shrink-to-Fit jeans for years. They are the "orginal" jeans and in my opinion, still the best. They continue to fade and soften over the years of washing and seem to shape to your body and fit perfectly after awhile. They wear like iron and have never disappointed me. The quality is still there and they simply do what they are supposed to do. Can't ask more from a pair of jeans.

I have been wearing Levi's 501 shrink-to-fit daily for all of my life. you can no longer get the correct size since they have upsized from the tag size. A real mess! I have gone through over $500 trying to figure out their new sizing which obviously has been created for fat guys who need to have their ego massaged!

Finally bought my first pair of Levi's. Very pleasantly surprised. Jeans don't need to be expensive to be eminently wearable! Fit me to a tee. Purposely bought them long so I could cuff them. Generally I don't like a button fly but these are easy on the fingers. Comfortable from day one. Now my go-to pair of jeans for the foreseeable future.

I have been buying these jeans for years now, and generally try to keep 2-3 pairs in rotation. With the new working from home reality, I get to wear jeans every single day, so I've increased my stock to 4-5 pair! Still as comfortable and durable as when I started buying Levi back in the day.

I have worn Levis for 55+ years. I like the button fly that the 501's have. I am 66 years old now, and I have tried other brands, but come back to 501's. The only Negative thing I have to say is that they do not hold the dark color long. I have heard dry cleaning they last longer, but for me the washer and dryer makes more sense. Positive side is they do fit nice, even at 66 it is important to present the girls a nice butt. I have heard they do look you know! Only thing softer is satin sheets. Give me a nicly pressed long sleeved shirt, nice pressed 501's and a pretty girl on my arm. Geo Striat would be jeolous. Pard I may have misspelled a word or two, but you got the picture.

Waist line fits me comfortably, but around the thigh part was somehow a bit loose but overall fits me uncomfortably and hope that it won't expand after few washing. I will recommend others to get this jeans.

I have recently purchased "501® Original Fit Jeans 005011589 Galindo 38 x 34".When arrived I washed in 40 deg. and it happens to shrink to a smaller size 36*32 that I haven't experienced before during my 50 years lifetime. The product has been produced in Turkey, I have noticed from the label. I didn't understand why this was happened. I am so sorry to give to a friend of mine without wearing at once.

It's always scary to buy things on line and the expectation of what it will look like or fit can make for a not so happy expierence. I read the review on the jeans before buying and some said good things but there was this one that wasn't happy with what they got. That made me think twice before buying mine, but I decided to give it a try and bought two pairs. Boy am I glad I did...the price was amazing and the fit was better than the ones I had purchaced in our stores back home..... thanks again You made me a happy customer....

I've been wearing Levi's since I was a kid. I'm now 66 and still LOVE them!!! The only problem is "ME" I'm still the same size BUT I have funky skin now "happens with age" so I should have gotten a 30×32 instead of 28×32!!! Guess I need to do some sit ups LOL. THANK YOU LEVI

I bought 2 pairs of Levi's 36X 30 The first batch was great! so, I decided to order 2 extra pairs, The second batch was different, and the size were the same but could barely fit in one of them "left on the picture" the second one, I couldn't close the top button! right picture they both 501 but some reason they felt like a 34 waist

I've always loved my 501 jeans, but very disappointed with this purchase. I had kept my tag from my previous ones and these are so much longer than my others. Also, the button holes were barely big enough to get the buttons through after a huge struggle. I admit to be getting older but this is ridiculous. Of all the years I've bought Levis I've never had this problem. Also, I ordered these online and had a different name (on purpose) for the shipping address and they addressed it to my name, which caused some problems. Did not appreciate whoever that didn't pay attention to where these were being sent.

First, I wore Levi 505's as a teenager. After becoming an adult I have only worn Levi 501's. I am 37 now. Jeans have always been a staple++ in my wardrobe. Sheplers was excellent. Absolutely the best pair of jeans I've ever bought. Solid construction, not thin like you'd get at another store. True sizing and more importantly, CONSISTENT SIZING! I've bought multiple pairs of designer jeans that end up fitting differently and I've had to return them. Levi's 501 jeans sizes are the same and true fit every. single. time. It's amazing. Couldn't be happier with my recent purchase. Delivery was faster than advertised, and both pairs fit well. Priced well, and there is just a certain coolness factor about Levi's 501's that dates back to childhood/adolesence with us younger boomers. These are real jeans.

Awesome jeans! The label needs to be strengthened and the stitching correct. Perforations for removing the tab are critical so when removing the tab not to cause a label stitched only on three sides.

Ordered 2 pairs of the Levi's stretch jeans both in my normal size the other pair fits great but this pair is way way way too small despite saying on the label that they are my size. Super bummed that I already took the tags off as I assumed since they said they were my size they would fit. Please please try on all jeans before removing the tag. Lesson learned money wasted

I have purchased at least one hundred pair of 501's, the quality has slid down to where I needed to return the last three pair. The button holes were so poorly stiched as to come apart and unravel and fail to hold the buttons after just a few months. Normaly the pants wear out before the button hole stiching even frays. Levi quality control has failed.

I've bought 6 pairs of theses jeans over the last year or so. They are the only ones I can find that fit me well and comfortably. They come in a fantastic natural fade color I love, but they don't last for more than 6-8 month if I wear them to work. Last pair I bought, I went to pull up my paints for the first time and one of the belt loops broke off. And that was fine, but 3 months later the crotch completely ripped out climbing into my work truck. 3rd pair in the last year I've had do that to me. I don't know if this because of the "aging" process or the jeans are cheaply and poorly made. Because it seems that the people who buy the darker jeans don't have many complaints. I'll try the darker ones this order.

I am a big fan of 501, have been wearing for last 15 yrs and I am wearing one while writing this review. I have Medium Stonewash 501 which is 13 yrs old. The new ones sit lower on waist and at times are dropping down from the butts. Ideally this should not be the case because the original 501 used to sit exactly on the waist. Also the newer version are much tapered with miniature HEMS. Although 501 is the best jean to have in your closet and no other brand can beat it specially the price vs quality factor. But still, the original should be brought back.

However, after washing the trousers, I discovered that 2 are really tight, to the degree that I doubt they're the correct measurement. 1 of them, I cannot even button. Long story short, try them on before you wash them.

I bought these jeans for my 16 year old son and he loves them. He says they fit him pefectly. He is a perfect 31 inches in the waist and Levi carries a 31 inch waist which is often hard to find. Very good quality jean at good price.

Blew out the crotch in the first six months. Second pair that has happened to. I bought my first 501s in about 1969, have never had this problem. Jeans still look new except for the torn crotch.

So large, they are like a 34 in the waist. Order was for 501 light stonewash 32x36. Previous return on same size and wash order was because two holes for the button-fly front were sewn too small to even button them.

Other jeans stretch out as you we're them and become to baggy later on in the day. Levis are the perfect fit when you put them on and when you take them off.

I wear them everywhere riding going out to dinner or to the casino and I am volunteer firefighter and I wear them under my gear because I know they gave me a layer of protection while fighting fires and when going out I always get complimented on how great they look and they feel nice and snug where they should and loose where they need to be and if I have a wardrobe malfunction Levi's support is always there to replace my jeans but that is only happened once so I must say these are the best jeans ever created especially with the button fly I prefer those over a zipper any day and they last for years and years

I bought a pair of 501’s and so did my husband. Both of our jeans were about a size smaller than the product said. I ordered a 29X34 and they were extremely tight, and my husband ordered a 34X32, and his too, were extremely tight! We want to reorder, but don’t know if this situation was a fluke, or if the jeans just run small.

I have worn Levis for 45 years everyday of my life. I just received my order and I am not happy. I have worn the same size for many years and have order/ purchased many many pairs of shrink to fit. This recent 2 pair I received shrink up way to short and I am not happy. Never had this happen before , definitely a 34 inseam.

All I wear is jeans and the only brand of jeans I own are Levi's. That being said the most recent pair I purchased I did so online which is my mistake. Not sure why (maybe because theses were "waterless") but the fit FAR looser than any of my other 501 stretch do. Great color though

Silver Rigid Grey 501's Are Shrink To Fit, Shrinks 2 Inches In The Waist & Length. So buy 2 sizes up. I'm a 31W so I humbly bought a 33W. Shrink washing alone in hot water, inside out, do not use dryer, that could put strange streaking lines in. Really nice feel & fit, reminds me of early 1970 501's. I ordered two pair of these jeans because I had never bought STF before. In my experience, I typically wear a 34x34 in most brands. I typically wear a 36x34 in 501's in order to get my thighs in but always have a baggy waist, so I tried to shrink to fit. The length shrinks like crazy, at least three full inches. The waist didn't shrink enough to notice. In the future, I will buy 35x36 STF; I think I will buy mostly STF from now on. Even though 514's make my butt look better, I love the button fly and durability of the 501 denim.

The threading of the jeans by my right side pocket has a hole in them. First time opening the bag and it’s very noticeable. I had to wear them to a home going wasn’t happy about it at all.

I've worn 501's longer than I can remember. The last ones I bought have about 1/4 inch hems at the bottom of the legs instead of the 1/2 hems they've ALWAYS had. The hem ROLLS UP when you wear them. I won't be buying any more. They're too expensive to just throw them away. Why did you change them?

The shrink-to-fit 501s are how 501s are intended to be worn. Although getting the fit prefect is a little daunting, the instructions are clear and worked well for me. These are rugged jeans which take a beating and look good doing it. If Levi Strauss does anything well its this take on the very first denim jeans. Well worth the little effort to get them to form exactly to your body. I expect years of style from my pair.

This is the second time I in 6 months I have purchased 501's and the quality of the material is terrible!! After you wash them the bottoms where the hem is curls up-clearly a lack of quality material. I will not purchase another pair of Levi's 501's ever again as they clearly have a lack of quality!

I ordered shrink to fit 501's online in error. Those three pairs are floods by almost two inches in just a couple washes. Be warned, these shrink almost double compared the original 501's. Of the seven 501 pairs purchased, looks like these three 501 "shinkers" are going to be shorts.... 501 originals are great. Loyal user for almost 3 decades. Those are the same and have nominal shrinkage. These 501 STF have to be made of another material.

I only wear Levi button fly 501s. These are the most comfortable jeans ever made. I can never find jeans in my size, (36W 36L). Levi always has them, and they are durable. My last 2 pairs lasted 4 years.

After joining the Army, I realized that our daily uniform is button fly because buttons are just more functional instead of using a zipper. Now all I wear are 501s. I have both shrink to fit and pre-shrunk. I like both both styles. They fit great and look fantastic. I wear everything from button down shirts and a blazer to basic t-shirts with my 501s. Have been wearing 501’s since the mid 80’s. However my last three online orders have arrived with right size markings but inseams and wastes that vary by pant. This time o had to do instore return to try on pants for exchange. Ended up with same waste size and pants with two different inseam labels, but same l nhth. Was very pleased with easy exchange- but might not work if a store is nowhere nearby.

I've been wearing 501's since 1986, when an Army buddy recommended them to me. I've never had an issue with them over the past 34 years. Great fit, sizes are consistent from year-to-year, and never have to worry about factory flaws or weak fabric. I just feel bad, when they get faded (after 4 or 5 years) and it's time to donate them to Disabled Vets. They're my babies - so it's hard letting go. But then I'll see a youngster wearing a pair of badly faded and ripped up 501's (yeah, it's the fashion trend) - and I think, "those might have been my 501's they customized..." which means the money they spent buying them, helped a fellow veteran out, and makes me feel great.

My husband is very happy to have these back again. He had stopped wearing these years ago when the fabric changed, it was much thinner, and he went to Carhartt's. I was not sure what the difference in colors these were. One was more original and the other darker blue seemed different, I don't know how to explain but we knew instantly which one we liked and the other color is ok.

These are the first jeans my dad bought me. Once I stopped growing, he knew he could finally afford great quality jeans without having to worry about buying new jeans every month. They fit amazing and the material always felt great and went with everything I wore. Never tore and barely shrunk up at all so they lasted me all of highschool. Was so disappointed to have to get a new pair of black jeans in years since I gained a little weight in college but thankfully the quality never went down! Looking forward to buying my kid his or her very first Levi’s!

Seems from the reviews, many are having the same issues...tearing with wear in the leg seam in the crotch. Both pairs with similar wear in two different sizes now have the same problem. This is very disappointing and I hate to say will be a deal breaker in the future.

I remember wearing 501's as a kid. The button fly is a classic. The color is a deep black that I hope doesn't fade too fast. I like that the rivets are black, too. The fit is perfect for me. I wish all those white labels weren't sewn into the inside -- but I guess I can cut those out. The Levi's brand lives on with the same quality and fit that I remember.

I made sure I measured the correct waist and inseam that I needed and then ordered my 501 Levis two inches bigger in the waist and one inch longer in the inseam and after two washes I was highly impressed. It’s been around six months since I bought my first pair of 501’s, and I have to say, I’m SO glad I got them. I’m used to lesser quality jeans, but I can honestly say, I probably will NEVER go back to them. Everything…and I mean, EVERYTHING, about these jeans is as advertised. The fit is perfect, the thickness feels on a whole other level, and the feel of them is AWESOME!!! I wish I could have gotten these sooner in life, so I wouldn’t keep worrying about whether they would hold together after a year. I plan on continuing to buy these whenever I can, and build up my collection for the future.

I bought 4 pairs of these. 32 32 that’s what my husband has worn for 30+ years. Unfortunately they fit like 33 33’s. The waist is 2 inches higher then normal and the but and crotch are 2 inches lower. He looks ridiculous. He has only ever worn 501’s. And unfortunately I washed them before he tried them on. Who knew they would change the style of 501’s……

I bought 4 pairs of 501 shrink to fit Levis in three purchases. The first three pairs I got were made in Egypt and fit great. The 4th pair was made in Mexico and is way big in the legs (baggy). It's like they didn't even use the same pattern. All 4 pairs are 34x34.

I throw a pair of these on and they take a beating day after day. I'm on the ground or rubbing things against them. They wash up nice. So what if there is little things in the jeans. It's raw cotton jeans. They have'nt came apart at all.

I normally buy the standard shrink-to-fit 501's but I saw these and I really liked the color. I didn't see that all of the buttons and rivets were black as well from the picture I saw online. But I was super happy when I saw that they were when I received them. They fit perfectly and they can go with either sneaker, a semi formal shoe or even a short boot. Best jeans purchase I've made online in sometime.

The Levi's 501s are my go-to for work pants. I've tried the workwear-specific brands, but the 100% cotton 501s are still my favorite for working outdoors. They are wide enough to fit over boots without looking like clown pants, they sit on my hips comfortably all day, they hold up against brush, they roll up easily when working in wet/muddy conditions, and they spot clean nicely. Plus, the older they get, the better they look. Can't go wrong really. Just goes to show it's hard to beat the original.

This wash looks very similar to my 502 Taper “Biggs Heavy”!!! Loved the “Biggs Heavy” so much, I had to order a second pair!! One for everyday use & the second is on the shelf waiting to be worn. Love the fading from hip to ankle, and the whiskering is perfect. Due to it stretch-ability, I recommend sizing down one size (32 to 31 for me). It will fit a little snug at first but will relax as you wear them throughout the day, for a perfect fit!! Cold wash (Inside out) & hang dry to keep in the color & prevent any possible shrinkage. I wear my jeans 5-6 times before I wash (Mostly with my Dark Colors) and to help conserve water waste. Nothing beats a Classic pair of 501’s!! #LevisEveryday #Win501

They fit a little short compared to the 505s. in the 505s the distance between the crotch and the top of the pants is 1.5 inches longer than on the 501s, so they dont sit as far down on my shoes as the 505s do even though they are the same length. And for the record in american eagle jeans I wear 30x34. in 501s I bought the 34x32. in the 505s I bought the 33x32

Bought a pair 2 sizes larger than required, and after following care instructions to a T, the jeans are now at least two sizes too small. Waste of money as I'll never get to wear this pair. I will not buy Levi's jeans anymore, the sizing charts are way off. Shrink to fit is a terrible concept, just buy the size you need if this is something you're considering purchasing.

Waist feels tight and the leg opening is much smaller compared to the previous 501. The fabric feels a lot thinner and cheaper as well. I am not at all happy with the purchase. If I didn't pay such a cheap price for it, I'd be returning it. This will be my final pair of 501 I'm buying. Too bad you guys ruined a classic!

I’ve gone back and forth with finding the perfect pair of Levi’s 501 true shrink to fit. What I’ve noticed is the jeans made in Mexico are the best with great shrink and stretch opportunities to those curvy man parts. I face this one 3 stars because I received 2 pairs from Egypt that would not shrink and looked loose and baggy in places that was not appealing. It was by chance I discovered the different with my recent purchase because 1 pair was from Mexico and 2 others from Egypt, the latter was much softer than the course raw denim jeans I have grown to love.

I've wearing 501s since my teens (I'm now closer to 70 than 60). They've always been like a friend to me. I shrink them down with a hot water wash and the dryer set on the highest setting. They come out fitting just right. I wear them just about every day and they really last.

This jean gives the wearer superior fit, comfort, and appeal. I have always enjoyed the shrinking process and the way they shape to my body. I have never been disappointed throughout the many years I have worn shrink-to-fit Levi's. Levi's look far better than any other brand. I would think noone would want to wear anything else.

I have been buying 501 Original button fly jeans for 30+ years. This most recent pair that I bought; the fabric feels lighter/thinner than previous jeans I own. Also, the button fly holes are small. So one needs to work at them to button them. Hopefully they will loosen up with washings.

Have bought 501s since the 1960s. The pair I purchased in December 2024 was the first pair that I ever had difficulty buttoning/unbuttoning the fly. The eyelets are so small that I only open/close the top button and shimmy in and out of these pants.

Levi's seems to be having some quality control issues. These are 501's. Suppose to have buttonholes. The buttonholes on about half of the pairs I've bought recently have defective buttonholes, making it nearly impossible to button them.

I washed on hot and hang dried them hoping to get a good amount of shrinkage but not lose too much color. Unfortunately they still are baggy even though I was true to size and didn't size up as they recommend, so yea gonna try to wash and put in the drier hoping that'll shrink em more but yea.

I've been wearing Shrink-To-Fit for almost 30 years now. I've tried every style of Levi's and find this one to be the most durable. As they say, you get what you pay for; if you find a cut-rate pair in a discount store, it's not the same. These will last for years, even doing hard labor jobs. Just make sure you follow the fit-guide so they aren't too snug. They continue to shrink slightly after years of washing, too, but they stretch from wear.

The button holes on one of the two pairs are so tight that I can barely force them through the holes. Been wearing 501 Shrink to Fit for more than 30 years and the quality is slipping, I niticed this on the previous two pair I purchased and didn't say anything. I may return the one pair which has been washed once.

I bought my husband 4 pairs of 511's for Christmas. They fit perfectly! One pair wasn't to his liking, but customer service was great. They made it so easy to return what I didn't need, and to reorder what my husband wanted. The fit is amazing, colors are better than they appear on the website, so don't rule anything out.

I'm writing this from the perspective of a normal person. These are very nice jeans that all men should own. For myself however, I'm somewhat skinny and lanky, but I'm completely bottom heavy and have enormous thighs. They're about 25-26" in circumference so I have trouble fitting into jeans that are my waist and inseam size, but aren't made extra baggy (e.g. the 569's).

A few years ago I bought 2 pair from this site, I have been wearing 501's since I was a teenager... I go to buy new ones and the size chart indicates they are not available in a 32x38 anymore...very disapointed...surely I am not the only tall skinny man left on the earth.

I’ve been buying the same black 501s for almost 15 years. I loved everything about them. For some reason, Levi’s changed the color of the threads on the jeans from black (matching the jeans color) to dark gray. I hate it. It looks tacky.

Quality has been constantly deteriorating for at least as long ago as the 60's an likely much earlier. Buttons had copper inserts, denim was heavier. leather size patch . Just got a couple of pairs. I hope that unlike the last two I bought that had 1 and two belt loops come unsewn. Recommend because there seems to be no better alternative.

I have bought over 20 pairs of 501 STF jeans over the last 5 years. They are great. I buy them 1 size bigger than usual in both waist and inseam. I soak them, and wear them as they dry for an absolutely perfect fit.

After unpacking and removing all of the tags I realized that the jeans were too small. I don't think that the 35inch waste is correct. The jeans are on my shelf because they don't fit, and I can't wear them.

I am mostly a 511 guy. I have some of the 501 Shrink-To-Fit & 501 Originals. I wear the 501's when I want a more loose fit. These are really nice. Not as baggy as the Shrink to fits plus these have a bit of stretch. I bought the same size I wear in the 511's and they fit good for me. I also like the fact that these are true acid wash style. They're hard to find these days. Keep making these !

I love the way they fit the waist to the ankles. My son has been wearing them for 30 years, he would like them a few inches longer but they no longer are made in 38" long. I really appreciate the fact that the material in the shrink-to-fit has been somehow made almost wrinkle free right after the "shrink" wash. In the old days they were likely to come out of the wash with a lot of wrinkles.

I remember buying Levi’s as a teenager and wanted a pair now. The jeans still do look like very good material and would have been a great fit had they fit me. I had to return the jeans because they did not fit. That in no way reflects on Levi’s, but on me.

Fit and finish were spot on. They don't offer my length so I had to have them hemmed, but otherwise the fit was fine. What I did not like were the buttons. Smaller that I am used to and the button holes were so small that the jeans were impossible to button up while wearing them, and actually also quite difficult with them off. Note to Levi's: If you have to take your pants off to button up the fly you have a problem.

Being higher in the rise the 12 1/ inch rise fits above the hip, and stay up great. At near 70 years old my butt is now gone and this length rise is PERFECT for me. The buttons are a pain and that is why only 4 stars. The 505 the model with the zipper sits on the hips , and with no butt, you can be on your tugging them up all day. I hope LEVI reads this and designs a jean for us older guys with no backsides. LOL.

I purchased two pair of the Levi 501 from our local JC Penny's they both run very short on my husband. The pair I bought on line is long enough. But in the last five years the consistency of fit has not been reliable. I was talking to my nephew and he stated that he no longer wears Levi's for this very reason, they are not consistent on the sizing. No my husband has not gained weight and no I did not wash them in hot water.

It was the fashion statement of our time and it is still popular today as it was back then. I remembered keeping them intact as long as you can and then turning them into cutoffs for the summer when they became a little too worn.I f I can lose 30 pounds, I would love to fill my closet with the Original fit 501 jeans instead of my relax fit 550 jeans. I am sure Bruce Springsteen wishes he can recreate his Born in the USA album cover wearing 501 jeans too. #win501

I have been wearing 501's for over 35 years, and had gone 5 years on my last set of jeans. They still fit just fine. However when I reordered the new jeans (same size), they were very tight for the first couple of wears. I believe that they must stretch slightly over time.

401 are still the best!

I loved wearing 501s for work. Wore them for years. Then the quality started to drop. Thin material...wearing out in the crotch area prematurely. Led ends curling up after wash/dry...and won't lay back down...the hem appears thinner. Each pair is cut different...they don't fit consistently. You must try on each pair. I guess I'll switch to Carhartt...but I just hate fat legged pants. Oh well...so it goes.

If that isn’t a sign of a pant that that embodies confidence then what is? These jeans can be worn as is, shrunk, tailored, bleached, and photographed. They are unchanged as other 501s are and have a little bit more room which I personally prefer but as stated before they are a canvas. Stop looking for your pants and makes your pants happen. Also they be on the cheaper side of the dollar and on the higher side of the quality #win501

I wish I hadn't taken the time and money to order these jeans online. They did not fit my husband (who has worn the same size Levi's for YEARS) at all..tight around his butt, too long, and just not comfy. I also didn't care for the color.

I've been wearing 501's for 35 years, the last 10 being exclusively Shrink-to-fit. While these are still good jeans and fit me well, they would be perfect if the rear pockets were higher up on the butt. Over the last several years, the rear pockets seem to be moving lower and are now half on my butt and half on my upper thigh. That is so annoying and not flattering. Are there any 501 models that still have rear pockets on your...rear? 501s have always been "me." The fit, the style--everything. Because of the pockets, they are becoming less me. After all these decades, it's sad.

Yes my friends, the jeans of past are long gone. The denim itself seems to be half the weight of normal and the cut completely different. After a month of light wear, a hole already appeared on the pocket.The hem on the cuff is about an eight of an inch as apposed to the classic one quarter. I went to a store to buy a real pair and low and behold, they are gone. They will be missed.

Only one nylon tag is necessary: The tag must be attached to the rear vertical seam of the left pocket, and the only necessary information is the waist and inseam sizes, and a LEVI's logo. It should not protrude beyond the edges of the pocket. The other tags can be attached to the cardboard attached to the exterior of the back pocket with a staple.

Have always been a fan of Levi jeans, but have not purchased a pair in some time. I was pleasantly surprised that the 501s that I purchased fit as I had hoped. I think the material is a little thinner than when I last purchased 501s some years ago, but all-in-all a great product.

I have worn 501 button fly jeans since the 70's when I would borrow them from my brothers. They always fit and look great! I'm in my late 50's now and still wear them only one size bigger!

The black 501's remind me of the 501's from the early 1970's. Pinch in at the wait, & the legs hang non-tapered & comfortable. The black 501's are more tapered in the leg than the green ones, but are still doable sitting at the computer.

I bought this and they fit great, but had no idea there is no zipper on the front. Instead there are about 7-8 buttons you have to button every time you want to put them on or take them off. Not the best functionality...
