      I bought a pair of these in 1993 for $159 when I was in college. I wore them regularly, at least (a total, mind you) of 6mos out of the year. I just had to get rid of them in 2011, never resoled them. This is a high, high quality boot, and am ordering another pair. I used nothing but Mink Oil on them several times a year. Incredibly comfortable, incredible quality. I have owned several other pairs of boots that have come and gone - dress boots that were much pricier, as well as work boots that were much cheaper, but for the look with a pair of jeans and the comfort? There is no better boot on the market in my mind. I would recommend these to anyone and everyone, and will be buying Apaches the rest of my life. Incredible experience.

      These boots are the 4th pair my family has bought from Sheplers over the last 2 years [...] We find the descriptions ( written and photos) very good so we know we will get what we are expecting. My wife had to exchange a pair of boots because they were two different sizes but there was NO hassle. We just put them back in the post with a note and the correct ones arrived in a couple of weeks.       I was stupid and wore these to go hiking up the side of a mountain. 3 miles straight up and down and my feet didn’t hurt. I don’t think it gets much better for a leather soled cowboy boot. But seriously, buy good hiking boots.

      I have a pair of Justin's that are the same size and width. I'd caution you that these run very narrow compared to the others I have. But they are wonderful boots!

      I wear them all the time around Boston and they have been through snow, sleet, and rain, on pavement and through dirt and have kept my feet dry anywhere from a walk down the block or a 2 mile walk to the grocery store. I spent an hour or so measuring for size (it ended up being my normal shoe size) and at first they were a little snug but they quickly wore in and I feel comfortable doing just about anything in them. I've even slept in them after a long night out.... I can't say I've experienced any true negatives in the 3 or so months I've had them.
