    Same great style but...

    The quality of the slickers has wanrd in the last few years. My old slicker from the same place with the same name and picture was much thicker and I still wear it though stained and torn. I suggest the new one will not even come close to lasting as long. Much thinner, like a cheap rain coat. If I am wrong as time goes by, I will write another review.

    This slicker is well made, has zipper plus snaps, and has Velcro strap at neck to keep rain out. It also has snap on hood. Good quality material.

    Good material. Coat Length in person is longer than I could determine online. Coat cuffs lack the capacity for proper adjustment for individuals with smaller wrists.

    This coat is perfect for anyone who has to be outside in the rain for any length of time. Haven't tried it in a downpour yet but it provides great coverage so it should work out just fine. Product delivery was FAST!

    I was looking for a summer slicker for working around the house, in the backyard, and managing our hounds, and I stumbled onto this one. A medium ended up being a bit long for me at 5'6" but I was able to get it shortened and hemmed quite easily. Seems strong. Clasps work well. Overall fit was just right, except for the length in my instance -- being built close to the ground. A worthy product. Thanks, Sheplers.

    This slicker has an updated collar...do you remember the old ones that just buttoned...all the water from your hat went right down your back...well that's fine in hot FL weather but NOT in freezing FL weather with a 40 mph wind or more! No, it is not one of those expensive slickers but it rolls up nicely and ties on the back of my saddle just fine...and I didn't pay > or = $300.00 for it!

    This is a good deal for the money. However it's a little tight in the shoulders. I normally would wear a large, but I'm exchanging this one for an extra-large. This will hopefully give me a little extra room in the shoulders (especially if I would wear a jacket under it).

    I was afraid my husband might think it wasn't something he would wear. Once he opened it and tried it on he fell in love with it. It's sharp on, fits great and covers all necessary body parts comfortably. He wore it out and it was pouring. We were all dressed up for our anniversary and he wore his western wear and was so happy to have his saddle slicker.

    This is a good slicker; lots of snaps and pockets. It had no defects, zipper is smooth. It is kind of thin, but I suppose I could say that about a lot of things these days. Would buy again.

    My husband is a truck driver and he needs to unload truck in all kinds of weather and especially when its raining, storming or whatever, this Saddle Slicker is perfect for him. He's tall and husky, fits perfectly and comfortably.

    fits in saddle bags easily or can be rolled to fasten behind the saddle. Practice with this rain gear with your horse before you need it because it will touch the back of your horse. Ordered mine a little larger to fit over a jacket or sweat shirt

    This is not the heavy slicker like they used to make. It’s just plastic like you’d find At Walmart. Difference it’s in the shape of a duster instead of a poncho. I feel like I just bought something off a Chinese website. It was a gift too. Don’t recommend riding on a horse wearing it.

    They run a bigger than most other things. I could have moved down a size and I would have fit better. Over all I really like the Slicker, however the left handed zipper is a real pain to opperate. Really bad if you are wearing gloves.

    I bought a black and yellow for the boys to wear to fair. They fit nice and came in handy because it rained. The slickers kept them dry and fit well over their clothing.

    Tried this in the pouring rain and stayed dry. Can't ask for anything more. It is long enough on me to keep rain out of my boots. I'm pleased with my choice.

    I bought this for a friend who is a professional photographer in Costa Rica and when it rains there it truly pours. My friend even has a raincoat for his camera. His main usage is while photographing Soccer games. He loves this raincoat and highly recommends it. I am very glad I purchased it for him.

    Upon removing from package and opening the zipper, the zipper broke. I like the design and it covers the saddle well. It is light and wears well. Craftsmanship needs work.

    Good buy for a useful Product. Not everyone carries such an item as a SADDLE SLICKER. When I cut through farming country to get to the High Mountains, I'm asked about the SLICKER.     Thought coat was nice but material would be so undcomfirtable if it was sumner.it would stick to u and make u super hot.for a fall rain with long sleeves on it would be good.

    weight of item is good for both summer and winter. Althought it is not lined, wearing over winter clothes will provide waterproofing when riding.

    I was concerned that buying this for a large man it might not fit well. Turns out it's rather roomy and he can wear other jackets under it to keep warm. Very pleased with the construction and the speed at which it arrived.

    I'm 5'6" and wear a womens size 12. A size small would have fit better but is not available. Can wear a winter coat under this though with plenty of room to spare, great length to protect jeans from driving rain.

    This coat is just what I ordered. It has a good length in the leg and it has enough buttons/snaps to configure your raincoat from horse to to truck. The only thing I might nitpic on is it gets warm during summer weather. Be prepared to sweat somewhat.

    My husband is a tow truck operator and we live in snow country. This slicker has made all the difference. He no longer comes homes sopping wet and having to change pants. When you have to lie down on the road to hook up a vehicle, this slicker keeps you dry.

    NOTE: Do not go by the sizing above because the chart is not very accurate, it fit perfect for a man 6'0" weighs about 185lbs so with a utility belt full of tools and a harness on under it was still useful easy movement. Looks like it will work for what we need it for, my husband works in the oil refinery trade and wears a harness, we live in Louisiana where it rains daily so we have great hope for this product. Better quality than the one most offer company for rain gear. He may not straddle a horse by he has been known to lasso a steel beam and straddle it hundreds of feet in the air, so this style is perfect.

    Not really what was expected, but it will do. It's EXTREMELY 'tall' compared to rain duster I purchased at same time. It will be fine for occasional wear,...in an emergency.

    Our California weather is just starting to change. I purposely ordered a larger size to accommodate layering shirts, jackets etc. The material of the SLICKER is enough to keep dry and warm. I particularly like the length and the detachable hood. When I am out, people will ask me where I got my SADDLE SLICKER. This type of SLICKER can't be gotten just anywhere. I give them the website.     I am 6'3" and this slicker extends to just below mid calf. It is currently the rainy/tropical storm season here and this slicker keeps me dry. I love it. I keep it with me in a small bag, wish one was provided with it, just for the unpredictable weather. I got the black one, but sometimes wish I had purchased the yellow slicker instead, due to how warm this one gets.

    I ordered a 3X and the overall size is big enough but the arms are so small they start getting tight on your forearms and are uncomfortable around your shoulders even in a tee shirt. A 3X with medium arms! I don’t recomend this product.

    It's perfect for me.I direct traffic at a food bank on a main road.And it is lightweight and bright yellow for the days it rains.I still need to be seen. 35 mph vehicle vs 250 lb stationary man. Man lose's isn't what I want my obit to read.Worth the price.

    Material to thin. Making it unisex is a mistake. Pull part of zipper on wrong side for a male making it awkward to zip up and down. Also all the bottom snaps were female except for one. Couldn't snap together. Had to return. Would rather pay a little more for a better made product.

    I wear it over jeans jacket with black cattleman, and wolverine boots. I get compliments for look and classic western appearance. A real head turner in the streets of Paris(France). Length and material make it the best rain protection I ever had.

    I have purchased 2 of these raincoat's and found them totally different. The first coat only lasted one wearing. The seams separated and the snaps pulled out when I tried to unsnap them. The zipper pulled out of where it was stitched on either side taring the raincoat. the second coat was made backwards the zipper zipped on the wrong side and the rain flap covering the zipper was backward so it was hard to fasten in a hurry. However it lasted three rain storms so far. The second coat fit well over a jacket and the rain hood covered my hat sort-of. It is long enough to cover your jeans while siting or standing. The snaps on the second coat stayed snapped while working and walking. The size is an issue however the large was a medium and I had to buy a 2xx to fit me. It is hard to fit it back into the caring bag and leaving it out of the bag causes excess ware on the coat. I am planning to buy two more coats to insure I can still find them for next year.

    I purchased 2 raincoats for my husband. He works outdoors and during the summer months we get lots of rain. Some of his co-workers asked me to order one for them. They love it! I have not heard any negative comments.

    ...but hate being wet. This is how I do it. This is my second one. Nothing wrong with the first one, it's in black. Black one just looks creepy, like something out of a Stephan King movie, especially with my big black rain hat, and especially at night. It's my "just in case it might rain" backup to the yellow slicker. Cowboys know their stuff.

    I bought this to replace one that was 7 years old and got ripped on a fence.  I have always found this to work very well at keeping both me and a saddle reasonably dry.  Can be a bit warm in south Texas.
