Under the category of Be Careful What You Ask For, Boot Barn has sent me multiple requests to review a recent purchase. Okay, you asked for it. After 15 years, I finally wore out my pair of Durango harness or biker boots. Since sizes vary among manufacturers, I drove 40 minutes to Lady Lake, FL to visit the nearest Boot Barn retail outlet. The store clerk told me they did not have what I was looking for in stock. The clerk told me I had to make an online order. When I asked what size to order, they basically told me to take my best guess. So, since I wear men’s 11 Wide in other shoes, that’s what I ordered. A few days later, the boots, Dingo Dean Harness Boots – Square Toe arrived at my residence. The boots were so grossly big, they flopped about my feet like fish out of water. I took the boots and made another trip to the Lady Lake store. A different clerk processed a return and then looked up a different boot telling me that it was what I needed. I paid for the second pair and a few days later they arrived via UPS. This pair was so small it felt like I was trying to squeeze a watermelon into a banana peel. Upon closer inspection, the second clerk ordered a pair of women’s boots - Dingo Molly Harness Boots - Snoot Toe. Seriously? I wear a man’s eleven and he picks out a woman’s boot. Now a third trip out to Boot Barn for another return. By now, I’d had my full of Boot Barn and its employees. I returned the woman’s boots and left. That’s when I decided to make the 90 minute drive to the coast to visit Skip’s Western Outfitters. They had several styles in stock. The clerk helped me find a size that fit and I now have my new pair of boots. Why I wasted so much time fooling with Boot Barn is beyond me, when Skip’s Western Outfitters had the stock and service I was looking for.

I love the look of the book, but they were too big and didn't not have a half size smaller so unfortunately I had to return them.

These boots are such a steal at the price. Made as well if not better than Brand name boots that cost 3X as much! Very Happy with my purchase!

It's a great looking boot and made well. The foot of the foot fits well & to size, BUT the ankle area of the boot is snug, which causes the leather around the ankle to rub against the the protruding bones at the ankle. Immediately, I can feel the hot spots where injury will appear even wearing medium weight cotton socks. I feel as though I need a thick cushion around my ankle in order to wear this boot on a regular walk. I don't have a problem with this area wearing other style boots. Perhaps, if you have skinny ankles?, you can avoid this issue.

These boots are very very narrow and I have small skinny feet. The leather on the top is thin like paper it folds over. They are not comfortable at all.

These arrived today and straight out of the packaging look great. They are heavy, but to be expected when choosing this style. However sadly I'll have to return them as the metal 'loops' sit right on my ankles which made them uncomfortable - I wouldn't be able to walk far at all in them. I don't see that I could get past this as it's the metal part that's causing me the problem, and there's no 'give' there! If you don't experience this problem then these will be great boots for the price.

Comfortable, 1/2 size smaller than shoe size was perfect. Awesome boots! Fantastic company!
