    Pros: No synthetic fibers, durable duck canvas. Cons: Tight fit for rated waist size. Front pockets are undersized, difficult to fit hand in when I have my EDC knife clipped to pocket or when sitting down. Internal dimensions of pocket could be extended toward middle of pant for added room. Bought two pairs and the pocket in one had a large hole at lower stich line within a couple weeks. The zipper fly feels like it could be minimum 1/2" longer to provide more room when used. Design recommendations: Longer zip fly or even a button fly, riveted corners for the tool pockets and hammer loop, riveted belt loops. Reinforced front pockets (internally and at areas where tools could be clipped). Integral suspender provisions.

    I ordered six pairs of the Relaxed Fit Sanded Duck Carpenter pants that were all nominally the same size (32W x 30L), but in reality only two of the six pairs fit properly. Another two were so tight I couldn't put them on. Additionally, the stitching around the waist was irregular and messy, with a few stitches that actually ran off the material in places. I buy these pants often and the quality has tanked since my last purchase over a year ago. I hope Dickies institutes better quality control because until now, their pants have been well made and durable. Two Stars for the two pair of pants I kept. Do better.

    34 waist is not a 34 inch waist in reality.....More like a 32 which is terrible quality control......Look out for more quality issues.....

    ordered 4 pair of pants, 1 loose fit and 3 relaxed. the loose were okay the relaxed were a lot smaller. checked the tags and they all said the same size. not sure why the fit would be different in the waist. i still like the pants and will try to lose some weight to fit in them.

    These duck carpenter jeans are comfortable, sturdy, and nice looking. Great work pants for the man who is a hard worker. I purchase about 5 pairs of these every 2 years for my husband. He loves all the pockets and the fact that the right knee picket can hold his cell phone.

    I've used these for work for years. This is my second time buying them. Long lasting material, and fit true to size. My only reason for rating 4/5 is that one of the pairs side loop for my work pliers is bigger than the others and my pliers fall through. Not a huge difference, but for my job, it's a frequently used tool.

    The sizing is awful. Right size at the hips and 3 sizes smaller at the waist. Unfortunately, it has been happenning with Dickies more often than it should've. Their subcontractors all over the world have huge quality control issue.

    I needed pants that can stand up to my workshop. There was NO WAY I was going with cargo pants and needed something with durability and functionality. These fit the bill to a tea. I bought several pair and don’t think I’d wear anything else. Not only are they rugged and comfortable, they are just “smooth” enough for when I meet with clients and customers.

    Bought 5 pair of the DU336RBD. Usage is everyday wear and work. They appear to be well made. The fabric seems tough but soft enough to be comfortable. The fit is good, plenty of room where it's needed but not baggy. Before I washed them I measured the waist and inseam. Measured again after wash and dry and they did not shrink. Too soon to know the long term durability but so far I'm happy.

    Waist measurements slightly off. I’ve been size 30x32 in other dickies jeans and in every other pair of pants I own and they were tight. 32x32 fit almost perfect, slightly large in the waist for me.

    I have bought several of these over the years; have them in 5 different colors. They are pretty much the only pants I wear. The fit is good, they are comfortable and virtually indestructible. I always cut the hammer loop off, looks better that way. The legs are wide enough to fit over my Frye boots which I wear while motorcycling. They are tough enough to endure rough paragliding landings. And they look decent enough to wear to work. Cell phone pocket on the right thigh is a bonus!

    Not happy. This model has been my go to for several years, always buying same size/model. Yet these two are both longer and legs larger diameter than my others. Having washed them in hopes of shrinking to correct size, I’m now stuck with new pants that will collect dust before being donated. The search for pants continues.

    My husband works construction and these are the only pants he will wear. He absolutely loves them because he has side pockets on both side legs. He says they fit perfect too, no plumbers crack!

    Love the pants. Durable, comfortable. Bought these to wear while building our house. The only complaint I have is that my standard Easteing hammer handle will not fit in the hammer loop which is very frustrating. It fit the first time I wore the pants prior to washing them, but now, no luck. I hate being at the top of a ladder hanging can lights and having to balance my hammer on the top rung because I can't put it in the loop which was a major factor in my decision to purchase these.

    These are great! I work in a wood fabrication shop, and these are exactly what I was looking for. I don't carry around a hammer often, but I do like to clip a measuring tape to the hammer loop. I saw that others had issues with their phone in the pocket, but I have a larger phone, and I don't like to have it in my pocket all the time anyhow, so this isn't an issue. The pockets seem great to me. The fabric seems durable and wood dust blows off well with an air hose. As far as the fit, I did size up one and it seemed to work for me. I'd usually be a 34 and the 36s are fine. The loose fit is nice and I haven't put my tight jeans back on since these arrived.

    I originally found these pants while searching for jeans with a decent cell phone pocket. My iPhone fits easily and securely in the tapered opening side utility pocket. Once I owned the first pair, I quickly realized how soft and comfortable the sanded fabric is while still being heavy duty and durable. These pants get better with every washing. I also purchased two pairs of this same pant in the next size up waist size. I wear them in the winter over other pants during Minnesota cold weather for shoveling and snow blowing activities and any outdoor activities.

    I bought these pants to round out my work week attire. Having worn similar work pants I was surpraised by the softness and fit. They are a happy fit between relaxed and loose fit. So for guys like me with a little extra meat on my legs and seat these fit very comfortably.

    My husband loves this brand of Dickie's pants but we think they are phasing it out to go to a new style. We also think that they are making them different because he would purchase the same size each time and the last 2-3 times, he has had to return the pants because they are too tight. He has not gained any weight either. We had to purchase the next largest size. One size fit different from the other size. Maybe Dickies is making them in a different factory? We don't know but we haven't been very happy with the change.

    I have a hands-on kind of job, and I was looking for a change from just blue or black denim jeans. I like the color choices and that the duck fabric loses it's stiffness and breaks-in really well. The black ones seem to run larger than the brown pants.

    I buy these jeans for regular wear. They fit well but could use some extra belt lops in the back. I overcome this during enseam alteration. The extra material is used by my gay to create lops for the back.

    I bought these pants for my boys who work farm manual labor... with me. We buy a lot of Dickies pants. They didn't like the wider leg and stiffer material going into summer, but I Love Love! I cuffed them twice (I'm short) and threw on my sneakers. Kicked butt in my new Dickies. Thank you!

    These jeans are excellent! Great fit including accurate waist sizing, roominess for variety of movement including squats, kneeling, twisting and bending, all without any binding or hanging up on knees or thighs. Like extra pockets, always using the extra space and phone pocket is very useful. Sits on hips, very comfortable all day long. While other jean brands have gotten shoddier over the years, Dickies are durable and tough and last; an excellent value. The only brand I buy anymore!

    This is the first time I’ve bought Dickies brand, and I’m glad I did. These pants fit me well, roomy enough for carpentry work. I’ve only had them a couple weeks, but the fabric and construction look to be very durable, as good as more expensive competitors.

    I've bought these pants on several occasions and own at least one pair in every color. I wear them at work and outdoors (motorcycling, paragliding). They fit well, are rugged, very durable, and comfortable. And they have lots of pockets! These are the only pants I wear!

    Ordered a 42, fits more like a 40. Went back to order a 44, that size is not available. The material is great though, they would have been my favorite pants if they had fit.

    I bought some carpenter pants like these from Dickies over a year ago. They were the relaxed fit, sanded duck fabric. They were very comfortable and fit me perfectly. They were also very wear resistant. These ones I just purchased run small in the waist. They say they are sanded duck, but they are a coarse rough finish. Hopefully they will chafe less as I wash them more. Also, the "light grey" pair looks more like white.

    Sturdy but decently comfortable, and the colors are nice. The construction is good- pockets don’t sag when you put things in them. They seem to run true to size and didn’t shrink in the wash.

    I do like these jeans overall. Very comfortable material and nice change from blue jeans. They seem to not collect burrs out in the woods like blue jeans do. I wish the zipper had larger handle for my old fingers and wish one of the leg pockets was large enough to fit current size cell phone with protector

    This is not my first time with these pants. They are built well and the fabric is durable. The one thing I will say is to be prepared to have to exchange them. The waist sizing varies. My old pairs are 34” and I went with a 36” on my recent order. They fit virtually the same. No way these are 36” waist. Other than that, great pants.

    I have worn 36x30 for years and years. When I bought 3 new pairs I made the mistake of throwing them into the washer first thing. When I finally tried them on they were way to small around the waist. The button lacked a good 2 inches of reaching. In contrast I have a pair of 38x30 that are so loose if I don't wear a belt they will fall down to my ankles. So if you buy some of these try then on before anything else. Luckily for me I found an old pants stretcher and made them work. And if they don't fit next time I will send them back. Otherwise I have worn these for years at home and work and been really happy with them

    I picked up a pair of this style ( can't remember where ) and was looking for the exact type. I bought them because they look good and have the extra pocket below the belt loop which is perfect for a cell phone. I bought them for the cell pocket.
