    I bought these for my hike to Machu Picchu in the fall and have been wearing them in. They are super comfortable and lightweight. It doesn't even feel like I am wearing hiking shoes they feel like regular sneakers. They are cushiony on the inside and super comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They're very cute too. The only thing is they do get dirty easily on the suede and it's hard to clean.

    Fits great right out of the box. I am so impressed by the quality and they look great. took these out for an 80M bike packing trail ride, traversed fallen trees, muddy trails, walked several miles around town with no issues.     Great hiking shoes, very comfortable! First use was on a moderate, rocky, steep hike at Acadia Nat’l Park and they did great. No slipping on the rocks and boulders and zero discomfort after being on the trails for four hours. I love them.

    I can't give this shoe a true review because I only tried it on and wore it around the house for a bit. Initially I thought they were quite comfortable but I have a lot of foot problems and unfortunately the heel of the right shoe was uncomfortable as well as the arch. I will not blame the shoes though, I will blame my dumb anatomy. The shoes were really awesome and I wanted to love them and keep them but knew I wouldn't wear them if they weren't perfectly comfortable. I loved the wide toe box!

    I like the amount of cushioning but really wish it had more arch support. I think I was expecting a similar arch support to a Salomon, Asolo, or Oboz and not having it reduced the length of my hiking because my feet tired quicker.

    I love Danner and have previously purchased a similar sneaker in their hot sauce color; however, this latest pair feels very snug and rigid comparatively. My other pair is incredibly comfortable and was wearable immediately, requiring no break in time. Beautiful and durable nonetheless, and I hope to break this new pair in over time.

    I just bought these yesterday in store for a hiking adventure in the alpine lakes. It was a 7 mile hike with rugged terrain and a fair amount of rooting. The condition was moderate. I was a bit skeptical, but these shoes held up so well. They felt like the lighter version of the Mountain Cascade with less bulk and equal amount of comfort. I wear the usual 6.5 size and it fit like a glove. There was no discomfort. I got a ton of mud and dirt on these, but they were easy to remove. I love the grey, blue and yellow color!!!

    Fit is perfect. I wear a size 8 and I ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly. They are so comfortable with wide room for toes to not be smashed. Super light. The tread is perfect for dry and slippery trails: I absolutely love these shoes. Going to order another pair in a different color..     Wore these for a couple short hikes before putting them to the test in Tucson. I had great traction on the large rocks as well as on sandy surfaces.     Just finished 70 miles of The Kungsleden in Sweden wearing my Danners. The Vibram soles provided the necessary stability over very rocky trails, the waterproofing performed well through numerous water crossings and not once did my toes get blistered (wearing Injinji toe socks surely helped!). The reinforced toes of the Danners are worn by this very glacial terrain, but they have plenty of miles ahead. Served well for me!

    This is my second pair of these and I absolutely love them. I don’t have to break them in, but just start walking without any consequence. I should say I don’t hike in these but I do use them for everyday use as well as long walks with my dog. I will take these traveling o worse as as well. The shoes are just as described and pictured. I really like the color. Would definitely buy again. I do wear a size 10 (in whole sized shoes) to 10.5 normally. Bought the 10.5 and don’t regret it.

    I got these for Christmas. I've always lamented how heavy and clunky hiking boots are to me. These were light as air. I hiked miles through Big Bend amidst the biggest snow storm the park has ever seen.     I purchased my first pair of Danner's 2650 last year and have been walking in them for almost a year on desert trails. I loved them immediately but sadly they didn't last a whole year. The tread is fairly flat at this point and sliding and slipping around on shale and rocky terrain is not fun. As much as I loved them, the fit and support, they are no longer usable. For the price paid I hoped I would get more from the shoe.

    At first I was nervous about these shoes because they had rubbed my heel with the socks I had originally chosen to wear with them the first time I put them on. Gratefully, I changed my socks the next time I wore them and that was the ticket. The socked needed to be higher up on my ankle/heel. I spent a week hiking in them and they were perfect!     I actually bought these as shoes for work. I’m a nurse and have a tried A LOT of different brands but could never pin down what was hurting my feet so bad. Most nursing shoes focus on waterproofing or antimicrobial fabrics and not the actual soles of the shoes. I’ve tried Hokas which were too soft and by hour 6 the foam is completely compressed and offer little support. And on the flip side I’ve tried clogs, which are supportive the whole shift but are clunky and hard to move in. I’ve also tried pretty much every sneaker in between: Nike, new balance, cloves, balas, nursemates and snibbs. These are the BEST. I’m so happy I thought to try hiking shoes. The soles are made to not compress after hours on your feet and the light weight and athletic feeling making them easy to move around in. They feel more sturdy and protective than normal sneakers with the same responsive, minimal shape. I have very high arches so I think custom insoles would complete them, but they are extremely comfortable even without them.

    Obviously I love these shoes as I just got my third pair. But I notice the heels wear out pretty quickly. Maybe it’s because, during the pandemic I’ve been walking A LOT on sidewalks and paved walking paths. So I’ll save this new pair for trail use and see if that makes a difference.

    These shoes are well worth the price. I stock up on these 2650 Danner shoes when they are on sale as they are the only shoes that provide support, comfort and dare i say happiness for my feet during the day and also hiking. I have a foot that is a long and narrow 10.5. I also supernate badly. I walk 5-7 miles a day. The amount of wear i get out of one pair is also good. I go to my 'cobbler' in town who adds a layer on the heal when it wears down. Great shoes!

    I purchased these shoes in August 2022. Just a little over a year later they are completely worn out and need to be replaced. I am a causal hiker who probably averages 2.5 miles per day. I also rotate the footwear that I wear depending upon whether I need ankle support, if it's snowing, etc.

    These kicks be kickin! Ordered them based on a recommend from hubs and they didn't disappoint. They feel very stable, sturdy, and comfortable. I've been pleasantly surprised that I haven't needed my insoles with these trail shoes, though if I wanted to add them, the insole that comes with the shoe is removeable so that would make it feasible. Since I'm juuuuuust a little clumsy, I appreciate the rubber at the toe and also the heel. I found them to be true to size, and can comfortably wear them even with heavier socks.

    Great look but unfortunately the shoe was too small. Too little material to close comfortably around my foot. I’m pretty consistently a size 10, but these felt different.

    I really like these shoes. I've got fussy feet and bought them a half size bigger than my usual Ecco shoes . I liked the colors and materials and they're working well especially with the Merino hiking socks!

    Extremely happy with my Trail 2650 hikers, in hot sauce, sort of a beautiful dark ish orange. I went up a 1/2 size after trying on a leather pair locally & found my toes had no room in a 9Med. Great fit on these, room in toe area, width & heel, no breaking in at all. I am a city walker, 10, 000 steps daily, mostly on sidewalks as I do errands, a Senior at 72. The soles are Virbram & I only buy hikers w/ these soles. Thanks Danner.

    Great shoes, and very nice looking-- I ordered the same size I do in Danner boots and these seem a little tighter, but not uncomfortable--the length is absolutely fine. More like this is a different style that laces up tight. Being a trail shoe, I'm glad it fits close. Very happy with them and they provide good protection and grip.

    Nice walking/ hiking shoes, even better looking in person. I can't run anymore due to bad knees so can't speak to that. The puffy plastic bubble on the back is a little odd looking but hasn't gotten in the way. I like the pull tabs, they're helpful in getting into the shoe. The laces dig into the top of my foot on the upper inside a bit, as the tongue isn't quite wide enough, or maybe it's sewed in too low. The laces have a little grab to them, not easy to unlace and lace but they stay tied. No break-in time, they feel cushy and shock absorbent but not as squishy as Hokas, which I find a bit too marshmallow. They run true to size and perhaps just slightly narrow. I could have gone up a half size for thick socks but I'm happy with my street shoe size.

    I am on my 4th pair if 2650’s. I love them. They are the perfect work shoe. Helps greatly with fatigue of standing on a ladder. Well done, Danner!

    I purchased my first pair of Danner hiking boots this winter and loved them! I have high arches and a narrow foot so it can be difficult to find a comfortable shoe. The boots have excellent arch support...so much that I haven’t added insoles to them yet. Naturally, I was expecting the same level of support from these sneakers, but...nope. The sole extends out far enough on the inside of footbed for stability, but the arch support is minimal. I added my own insoles and they feel much better but for the price, I expected more. They should hold up fine for casual trails this summer, but I would not hike in these on rough terrain. On the plus side, they are true to size (I go a half size up for hikers), super lightweight and cute.

    Cute shoes but unfortunately runs too small. Although it’s meant to be a low hiking show it’s almost too low so that you feel like it will slip pff easily. Had to return.

    Good looking & comfy! I've been a size 8.5 my whole life... needed to size up to a 9 in these just to give a little extra space in the toe area. I ordered a medium width but will say that they seem a bit narrow, however, that works for me. They are also extremely sturdy...if you're use to Altra Running Shoes or sneaks with more give, these may not be a fit for you. I like the sturdiness, especially when hiking. Hope this helps in decision-making!

    Sharp looking shoes, nice material that seems like it will endure the adventures and last. They are comfortable and supportive, I did need some time to adjust and break them in at first. Great, gripping tread, breathable and the heel bumper is a nice addition.

    Love these shoes! Tried them out this past weekend on a few trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great grip while scrambling up rocks or hopping small streams. The fit was awesome - no ankle/heel rubs or squished toes on descents.

    Was looking for a good summer hiking shoe and this one came on sale. I already own three pairs of Danners and these definitely live up to their name. I wasn't sure about the Hot Sauce color at first as I tend to gravitate toward more neutral colors, but after wearing them a few times it has really grown on me and the brighter color makes me happy when I see them on my feet. For the fit, I have narrower feet and these seem to fit well, so I can imagine someone with wider feet may have some comfort issues.

    This is my second pair as I wore one out. My favorite summer hiking shoes. For a narrower foot with lower volume (and high arch) these are amazing. Super stable and grippy, lightweight, toes are protected, cushiony.

    I bought a pair for myself and my husband. They are amazing. I liked the shock absorbing footbed, the fact that they don’t get dirty easily and durability. I had them for 4 months now and I’m super happy!

    From my first walk, they felt great. My feet are narrow in the heel and I had to insert a very small lift to raise my ankle bone up a smidgen so it wouldn't rub. It worked, I'm hooked and they will get a workout this summer. The colour is great, no need to go drab just cuz I'm walking!

    This is my 2nd pair of Danners. I wear size 11 and these fit perfectly, not too tight, and not too loose. Before I ordered my first pair I was unsure as some brands tend to run small and I was so happy both pair are true to size. I tend to wear them with Bomba socks and couldn’t be happier!!

    I had to exchange these shoes because the interior heel wore out very quickly, but dinner was excellent and exchange them with no problem at all. I love the shoes, I wear them all of the time and find them extremely comfortable. I wear them mostly for everyday and at work. I do take walks in them. I just think they are in all-around great shoe.

    I wanted to love them but they are just too tight. I wear a size 10 always but these size 10 are so hard to get into. I try to loosen all the ties and squeeze foot in, but so sad that they do not fit right. They are a beautiful shoe.

    100% adding to the top reviews here. You otherize women by calling the mens shoes simply by it’s make/model without adding the “mens” qualifier, you also refuse to grant us the full range of color expressions. Do you think that men are the only people with dark, warm coloring? Do you think there aren’t men with soft, lighter coloring? Do you have any idea what it’s like to sort through your inventory looking for the ones that are “designated” for us and having to select from a fairly homogenous group of muted, cool, light, or…plain black? There are at least 4 pairs of “mens” shoes that would be in my cart now if they came in my size. You make a womens version of each of them and none of them reflect my coloring, tastes, or wardrobe—they are unwearable for me. Please interrogate your biases and do a better job serving your loyal female clientele, who, like men, are out here working, adventuring, and spending money on the things that support us in those endeavors. The idea that dark, bold, or warm colors are masculine is an outdated failure to reflect a diverse reality. We like Danner for the combination of functional tech and the timeless, vintage aesthetic that honors natural palettes. That’s what we’re here for. Give me browns and greens! You definitely do this better with the cold weather lines.

    A friend of mine has these shoes, and she loves to wear them for walking and hiking. Both the color she has and the ones I bought in another color looked very cute on. But they slipped on my ankles, even though they were true to fit and felt comfortable everywhere else. Sadly, I had to return these.
