    solid light weight summer hiking boot but can be a little warm/sweaty after a full day in the heat. seems water resistant but would not recommend for extended sloshing around or high dew etc.

    First time Danner buyer. I bought these boots for work as I walk a lot in the woods, water, fields, and so on and I need a lightweight boot. I owned these boot for about 2 months and they already have a hole in them from stitching coming out and toe is torn up and layers are coming off it. Waterproofing was great for the first time or two in water but after that horrible and now not at all as the hole in the side gives easy entry to water. First time buyer and last time buyer, especially for the price I expected way more than two months use before they fell apart.

    Very comfertable but not waterproof.

    The boots feel great on my feet and needed no break in time. Ive been been wearing them for a couple of weeks and dont show any signs of unusual wear. They are in no way waterproof or water resistant. Just walking in wet grass your feet will be soaked. Pretty disappointing for a boot that says its waterproof on the side of it.

    I work for an electric utility in the northeast, the boots have held up wonderfully in all the elements. The only problem is I’ve had them for 6 months and gone through two sets of laces. Other than the laces the boots are holding up great!

    I much preferred the high ground that Danner discontinued. The vitals may need a good break in period to get to be as comfortable as the high grounds

    As a user of Danner boots for years it was a no brainer to pick up a new pair for an early season high country elk and mule deer hunt. Tried the Vital. Break in was fine but the boot did not provide the support for 6-8 miles a day with a medium pack or while packing game back to camp. I was fortunate that my retailer offered a full refund. A friend on the hunt had the 400g version and shares the same dislikes.

    I’m starting to like these boots the more I wear them. They don’t have a real cushiony insole but they’re ok. The first pair I ordered was a D width like I usually get but they seemed a tad narrow so I ordered the wide width the next time and they fit really good. I like how light they are, like wearing a pair of hiking shoes. Overall I think their good fitting boots, time will tell how long they last.

    The most pleased I have ever been with a boot, Danner customer for life after this one. I initially purchased these boots for an off-roading trip to Moab, they performed flawless and were out of the box ready to go. I mostly hunt in Louisiana so avoiding water is difficult, but I found them to be water resistant just over the toe; never any issue with dew or shallow puddles. I enjoyed them so much they became my every day work boot and first pair of “shoes” I reach for. They are light, comfortable, & breathe well. After many many miles and every day wear; I’m here to buy a replacement pair!

    Great stability I’ve been in Alabama hunting turkey and they have been wonderful up and down these hills. The boots are made of great quality and everyone comments on the camo . I will buy insulated ones this fall if they have my size ! On top of these I purchased the lace up snake boots and I’ve had them on all day today and they are wonderful boots !

    I have had a pair of low tops for three years and was very happy. I drew a Kentucky bull elk tag this year and needed more ankle support so I choose these. still braking them in but I'm very happy.

    I've had these boots for a month now & my initial impressions were great. They are lightweight & very comfortable. Unfortunately, they are not even close to being waterproof. I have worn them in multiple situations from a pouring rain, to walking through ankle deep puddles, to just an early morning dew on the grass, and they have leaked within the first 5 minutes of being exposed to any type of moisture. Very disappointed as I would expect much better from a Danner boot. I will be returning them for a refund.

    I think this is my fourth pair of these maybe the other ones were camo, but basically the same boot. This is the first that they are too tight around the toes. Not sure what I can do about it. Usually, the boots are exactly the same us the old ones. May have to take them and have them stretched a little

    I had to exchange for a wide, which I've never needed before. However, once I did, they fit perfectly. Definitely one of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned.

    So I’m giving these boots a 4 out of 5 stars. Was originally going to give them 3 since these boots are NOT waterproof as they claim. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because they are really comfortable. I live in Southern California so waterproofing is not too much of a concern. I do find they absorb a lot of water so it can take a few days to dry. At first these boots were a bit more on the snug side but after adjusting the laces and a few hikes these are amazing. The comfort and feel are top notch. The boot feels well made. I’d highly recommend if you do more dry environments.

    Danner boots seem to fit me a little on the narrow side. Ordered a wide size and fit was perfect. Very comfortable to hunt in all day.

    Currently wearing them to walk the dogs but so far they fit great and are what I would expect from Danner. I will be wearing them this fall when hunting seasons kick off. I have moose and sheep hunting planned and so far they feel like they will fit the bill.

    Best boots I’ve ever owned! I’m on probably my 7th or 8th pair over the years of this exact model, and couldn’t be happier. I use them daily on my construction sites, and have another pair for hunting and outdoor activities as well. Comfortable, durable, and LIGHT. Please don’t ever stop producing these!
