    These Danners did not work for me, and I had to return them. They looked great, and I really wanted to love them. Unfortunately, inside of each shoe was a seam that dug into my ankles, even when not tied particularly tightly. This was very uncomfortable and would have been Blister City for me in no time. In addition, no matter how tightly I tied the shoes, my heels still slid up a little bit with each step, rubbing against the back of the shoe. Again, B-City bound! Sadly, these shoes just did not play nice with my feet.

    I love this shoe! Super comfortable right out of the box. Great for trail running & light hiking. I have some issues with my feet (painful peripheral neuropathy) & these are my go-to For comfort. I also wear them to reggae concerts! Great for skankin’ & the green-gold-red colors make it my Rasta shoe! Haha! I’m an exact size 11 but the 11.5 works for me b/c I wear thick, cushioned socks. . Great all around shoe! Highly recommend!

    I have several pairs of 2650’s @11.5 x D width but for some reason these fit too narrow and too short. I returned this pair. I am also not a fan of the newer tongue style sown all the way to the top of shoe. Makes it harder to put shoes on. Are they all this way now? If not how can you know by their description?

    I haven’t had the shoes for long, but they fit well, are very comfortable, and are surprisingly cool even in the humid subtropical climate of the area in which I live. The shoes are good for those who want something more appropriate for hiking (not a trail running shoe) and yet not a heavy hiking boot.

    Fits great! And comfortable. Weren't the most attractive looking at first, but they are pretty good looking after I got used to it. Very mesh like, similar to a running shoe. Mine are EE super wide and my pinky toes dont hit the sides without looking like a big square. Good shoes.

    Had trouble with the tongue of the shoe rubbing my foot raw where it’s stitched into the body of the shoe. Eventually had to trim the stitch with a small pair of scissors to relieve the pressure point. After that the shoes fit and feel great.

    I love the weight and feel of these shoes. Unfortunately, I had a difficult time getting any of the 2650s to fit comfortably with my arch. Whether I used my own orthotics or those provided by Danner, I could not get them comfortable and instead had arch pain within an hour. Too bad...I would have liked them to work for me.

    Too small - I’m a 9 ordered a 9. 5 - couldn’t get it on my foot - way too small - Danner needs to reevaluate sizes on this shoe. Have your CEO try one and tell me it’s a 9. Great shoes but getting the correct size has been a pain. As a 9 I’m guessing I would need a 10. 5.

    Seem pretty comfortable, but every Danner is a different size. I wish I had a danner store near me where I can try shoes on before I buy them. These run about half a size too small and too narrow. I can’t even lace them because the laces are too short. So in the Bull Run, I’m normal width and size 10. The Acadia I’m 9.5 EE. In the Full Bore I’m 10.5 D. In the Stryker Bolt I’m 11D. Dude, pick a standard size please!!!! Your boots are great but the sizing game isn’t fun.

    Very comfortable shoe. I switched from Danner full leather boots to these and what a world of difference. More than a pound lighter each foot and they feel amazing. I worked 14 hours on my feet after getting them and loved the comfort. They felt narrow to start, but got looser as they wore in.

    While still a great shoe the mesh was much less durable than the first pair of the Trail 2650 that I owned. The shoe is fraying around the toes and coming up at the edges. The vibram soles also wore out at twice the speed. My original pair lasted over 1000 miles and this pair has barely lasted me 350 so far.

    These shoes right out of the box was a perfect fit! They don’t have to be broken in to be completely comfortable! I wear them for my 10-14 hour work day. My feet don’t hurt at the end of the day. I would buy more but they are out of stock! Please make more Danner. I have had these shoes for two years and they are still my go to shoe. I’m just starting to see wear on them. I also use these for hiking and biking. I love the all black! I can wear these with dress slacks too when I need! I recommend them to anyone and everyone that I get a chance too. They are definitely worth the money. I don’t mind when it’s quality!

    The fit was good. They are very light weight. The quality is always good with Danner, however the support and cushioning is not what I was hoping for! In the past I have owned Danner Hikers that gave me the support and cushion that I need since I have foot problems. These, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations! I need a sole that is extremely stiff and rigid, but with lots of cushioning inside. I will have to try a different style to get what I am searching for.

    Knowing the quality of Danner boots from years of buying. I decided to try this particular hiker. The build quality is as to be expected. A big plus is these shoes weigh hardly anything. I walk 6-9 miles a day and my feet never tire. I'll be buying another pair soon.

    Purchased this shoe locally and hopped it would be the answer. The shoe is kind of narrow but there are 2 other issues. First the insoles are totally uncomfortable and provide no support. The second issue is knee pain. Never has a shoe given me such knee pain as I cannot wear them even to walk the dog around the block. I was in military for 23 years and always had good luck with Danner boots, unfortunately these did not live up to the Danner name.

    These shoes seem well constructed, but they not working for me personally. I have pairs of Mountain Pass and Jack II in this size and love them, but I have been favoring a more minimalist trail runner for several years and the adjustment back to a larger heel-to-toe drop is hard on my knees. I suspect this is the cause of my knee pain while wearing these, but at any rate I would not recommend these shoes to someone who is used to a smaller heel-to-toe drop and less thick soles. However, I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes a cushiony sole and doesn't mind a more "traditional" heel-to-toe drop.

    The out-of-the-box comfort of these shoes is outstanding and I anticipate the fit and feel will get better as I break them in. They feel stable and "cushy" at the same time. the quality is evident and they appear extremely well made. My Danner Radical boots from 20 years ago were the BEST things I ever put on my feet... hiking, running, daily out and about... they were superior. These ain't far behind, and may eclipse my love for my Radicals if they keep doing what they are doing.

    Absolutely love my Trail Mesh 2650 but wish the sole lasted longer. I can't get more than 200 miles of walking before I find myself down to the white inner cushion. Can get another 100 miles before I have to replace but it's a bit spendy for someone on a fixed income.

    I wear a size 8M in shoes/sneakers/hiking boots and purchased an 8M in the red/brown 2650 several weeks ago, which was a good fit; however, the painted hills shoes were way to small, too tight and were returned. Not sure why the same shoe (in a different color) should differ so dramatically in size.

    Bought these to wear on duty at work as I'm mostly inside and my Ft. Lewis were overkill. Probably my 7th pair of Danners and I expect they'll hold up well like all the other ones have. Even after wearing for a 12 hour shift, I find these as my new "go to" when taking a walk or running errands. My only complaint is a slight heel slip, however, I did go up a half size, so that might be part of the reason why. The support is excellent and I typically walk 4-5 miles a day without any foot fatigue.

    This is my 3rd pair of the 2650 and I really like the style and color of this one. They are the lightest weight ones I have. I use them for every day casual activities and no so much the trails. The fit would be my only complaint as they sit low on the heal and feel like the want to slip off.

    I have worn a size 12 for years. The last 2 pair I’ve ordered (1 Merrill and these) were tighter than usual. I returned the Merrills as they were really too tight, but kept these and put in a set of Xpand elastic laces. They are very comfortable and supportive while walking (I walk every day with my dog) but I have to kick them off after a while if I’m not busy on my feet. Other than that, they are 5-stars while in use for their intended purpose.

    I am loving these shoes. I normally wear a 9 in the Patrol boot and I am a 9 1/2 in these shoes. These are comfortable for all day wear and the all black goes well with the clothes I generally wear. The one thing I would change is the laces could be an inch or two longer, other than that I wouldn’t change anything.

    These are absolutely the most comfortable shoes i gave ever worn. The fit my feet like a fine pair of gloves. Had zero break in time. They have excellent traction on wet slippery terrain.

    I purchased a 10 EE and it is still way too narrow , my feet are hurting ! Wish I would of sent them back !

    They are stylish, but don’t feel very supportive. There are places near the laces that actually dig into the top of my feet where stitching digs into the top of my foot. Not comfortable for very long.

    Good shoe. True to 11 1/2. Little to snug. Lace them the way you want and it fits well. I wear a 12D boot. The sole is meant for skinny feet. Good quality shoe.

    I had heard good things about Danner shoes so I decided to give them a try. I think I’ll stick to the brands I usually get though. I received the trail 2650 mesh the end of March and 4 months in they were pretty much useless. The sides started to tear at about 60 days at the toe crease and eventually became a hole and separated from the sole. The sole is also coming apart at the heels and along the sides in various spots. I really expected a lot more life out of a danner shoe especially for the cost.

    Disappointed in the fit. I have the traditional 2650s in the brown/red laces and the fit is great. The black hikers are very narrow in the toe box, why make a change based on color.

    I own/ have owned many Danner and Lacrosse boots. Many. The 2650 mesh (black) has many great design features that I was looking for in that class of footwear and looks great however the construction of the heel caused me to steer away from it. After trying two pairs it was apparent that the heel cup was not stable and caused my heel to slide with every Step. First pair both were really bad. Second pair less so. The cause?, I’m not sure but The material around the heel cup feels like non reinforced fabric and has no Solid reinforcement Or construction to keep the heel anchored in place. I Couldn’t determine what purpose the foam bulb on back of the ankle serves. Really wished that these were 100% because the rest of the construction, design and materials are so good. If there is ever a redesign on these Where the heel is constructed differently And will keep the heel anchored I’ll will surely try again.

    The shoe is not bad, just comes narrow size. If I was to get another pair I would get a size bigger, not a lot of room to expand if you are on a long hike an your feet were to swell there's a great possibility for blisters to form.

    Fit good. the problem is the shoe laces are too short for the shoes and can barely tie. I called and spoke to someone who was going to get back with me and never did. I am now trying to order shoe laces on line which fit the shoes. Too much time spent trying to get the correct laces which should have been included.

    I used the Trail 2650 to take 2 long hikes/summits in New Mexico - La Luz Trail to Sandia Crest (15 miles out & back with 3,500 feet of elevation gain) and Wheeler Peak via the Williams Lake Trail (9 miles out & back with 3,000 feet of elevation gain). I wore the shoes for a few days prior to these hikes, but there was really no break-in period needed - super comfortable and very functional right out of the box. Despite the punishing switchbacks and varied terrain, the shoes performed great on both of these hikes, I did not get any blisters and my feet felt great even after the 15-miler. They also provided enough cushion and support for these types of hikes, I did not feel that I needed a higher boot for more ankle support, despite the steepness of the trail. I would definately recommend the Trail 2650. I wear a size 11 in New Balance, On, and Brooks - and bought these in size 11. They fit great. Sidenote: After the two hikes I noticed that the rubber nose at the toe was starting to slightly peal away from the upper. Since the shoes were relatively new I contacted Danner and they immediately told me to send them back. I was not even sure if this was a normal wear and tear thing, but Danner did not question it. Danner is a company that stands by their products and this is much appreciated.

    I liked the fit. But the shoe seemed too unstable when walking around my house. A little too loose. So I sent them back. I really like the 1932 shoe. I have 2 pairs. But wanted a black pair. I guess danner discontinued this shoe

    Best shoes I have ever put on my feet. The right shoe felt a little off on the right side for the first couple time’s wearing them but they have formed to my feet and I absolutely love them. I have been wearing nothing but Danner boots for the last two years due to a serious back issue so I was a little worried to try something different but I am more than pleased with the comfort and durability of this shoe.

    I probably should have returned these shoes, but I just love the look of them so I still try to squeeze into them. They were extremely narrow, and the heel slips off easy. I've never worn "wide" shoes, so this was a bit upsetting.

    I've had my danners for about 2 months. Vibration is already separated from the midsole. Opened a warranty claim. They want you to ship them the shoes for inspection. Photos submitted clearly show any and all issues and that the shoe is in perfect condition ther than this specific failure. Don't waste your time and buy another brand.
