    I like the boots, and

    I like the boots, and they are very comfortable. As with every Danner boot I have ever bought they leak even though these are the best I’ve ever had. I walk in the early morning when there’s heavy dew and my feet are not totally wet, but are damp. Other than that they’re a great boot.

    Danner is nothing to write home about, other than how bad they are. Their customer service is top notch. I assume because their products are awful. On my second pair of 600’s (good thing the first ones blew out before the first year). The first pairs leather stitching came undone at the ball of my foot. Then the second pair is separating from the sole itself in the same spot. Do they look great, yes. Do they perform, yes. Do they last and are they reliable, absolutely not. The last time I will ever buy danner (but it has such a rich history and American made.. go else where.) And for the price I should’ve went with another brand. Very dissatisfied. Wouldn’t recommend to my ex’s new boyfriend.

    They surpassed expectations. Went on a 8 mile quick hike this morning through water, mud and heat. No sore spots, no dampness. I did take them off for the water that was knee deep. Very easy on and off. Most comfortable boots I've had right out of the box

    I have several pairs of Danner boots/shoes. These boots are lightweight and very comfortable on moderate terrain. Today I spent several hours on a trail in driving rain and my feet were soaked. Thinking a better name would be "danner not so dry" as mine is not the only review indicating the lack of waterproofing. My danner goretex boots are golden. The 600s, not so much.

    Comfortable out of the box with very little break in of the suede leather. Some squeaking from ortho pad (guess) but starting to lessen with more wear. Highly recommend as a Spring/Fall hiker and casual wear. Love them!

    I have pretty awkward wide feet an shoe/boot shopping is usually the last i wanna do... especially when ordering online beacuse who knows what your gonna get. I took a chance though on ordering a pair of mtn 600's in 11.5 wide, a half size smaller than what i usually get, and I honestly could not be happier. They are the most comfortable boots i personally have had and look forward to putting them on every morning. I live in Estes Park, CO and our weather can get pretty wild sometimes but so far my danners have held up great and keep my feet warm and dry on snowy cold days. Grip is great for the more slick conditions and most mtn terrain. Cant wait to hike/fish more with them this summer. I Can wear them all day long and im in no rush to take them off. This definitely wont be my last pair of Danners.

    I returned these boot. I had previously owned a pair of these and loved them but the color I received was much different than the ones I had owned and different than what is pictured on the website. Still, The boots were great and I’m hoping to get another pair soon.

    These boots are quite comfy, I use them every other day to walk for a couple of hours in the desert. Something about the sand here causes it to pick up and land in the other boot, this isn’t just these boots but every boot I’ve worn here, so I bought some gaiters. This combination works well. The only reason I gave these boots four stars instead of five is that weren’t available without goretex liners. While Goretex is great in the rain and does breathe it simply doesn’t breathe as well as if it wasn’t there. It’s getting tough to find quality boots without a Goretex liner.

    Very good shoes, I am hard to fit so they aren't perfect but I have inserted orthotics. I wish the ankle rise were an inch or two higher, as well. These are just my personal preferences.

    The only problem is that there was no choice of width. EE was the width available… every other width was out of stock… but it iWorks well. My only other concern is that in time the back heel inside may wear out since it is fabric and not leather. The weight is excellent. Although they are not as rugged as the mountain light which I had to return since they were too heavy. Lastly I would have preferred made in USA. These were from Vietnam I don’t mind paying more for made in USA.

    The website said the boots run 1/2 size too large. Not for me but the exchange was quick and easy. I found the toe cap to be too small, as I am rough on hiking boots, and I had to enlarge it. Also I added better insoles, but that’s normal for any shoe. Boots fit well out of the box, comfortable to wear, great traction. Construction looks good. Time will reveal durability.

    I bought these boots back in 2020 when I first moved to Vermont, I heard a lot of great things about Danner's and this would be my first pair. I wore them for a mix of just about everything, hiking Mount Mansfield, walking around Burlington and occasionally even for yardwork! The Pros: they're extremely comfortable, fit well and true to size; you have flexibility in the density of sock you want to use. I found the soles to be super grippy, never a worry about wiping out. The Bad: they sprung a few leaks, one boot at the base/seam of the boot and sole by the toe box and the other boot on top of the toes box. Vermont trails are usually pretty soupy, I was hoping these would hold up better. They stink! Well, they hold a lot of odor; I had to be sure not to leave them in the back of my car or phew! Also, change out the insoles to something else, Danner offers good solutions in that department that fit perfectly. As the title suggests, a good boot but I've had other boots that cost less perform better for longer with less maintenance than these Danner's.

    Absolutely perfect fit. It is recommended that you get a half size smaller from other brands and this is true. I normally wear a size 12 and purchased these boots in a size 11.5. From day 1 straight out of the box they felt great. Now that I've worn them almost every day for a month I love them even more. So light weight with superior support around ankles and flexibility under foot is nice. Leather upper quality is very nice. I will be picking these up in other colors along with the insulated ones. Sad I didn't get a pair sooner.

    Have owned for 1 year now and worn primarily in the fall and spring shoulder seasons in NH where a waterproof boot is preferred. Winter hiking is done in the black insulated version of this same boot. Both are superior boots with comfort right from the box that has only improved after seasonal conditioning. Both boot versions are the same size and with medium cushion hiking socks. Great traction, ample warmth, durable but flexible full grain leather. I condition them at the start and end of their respective seasons with Sno Seal and the leather maintains a water bead when wet, but the addition of Danner Dry lining has always resulted in dry feet. I have found THE boot for me.

    I initially bought these as my kick around, and hiking boots. However, they quickly became my work shoes. I work anywhere from 8 - 14 hours a day, standing and walking on concrete floors. In lucky to get a year out of a pair of shoes before they start to break down on the inside and my feet start hurting. These Danners lasted me just a hair over 4 years.... and NEVER a day with sore feet!!! I could tell they were finally starting to wear down in the midsole, I finally blew out a dream on each foot (my fault for sticking my foot in pallets at work and moving them instead of having a pallet jack) and get they still remained water proof. I definitely got WAY more than my money's worth with these boots! Just ordered a new pair so I can retire these.
