      Good fit and very comfortable. Disappointed in the insulation. If you are walking around it’s okay, but if you’re standing for a short time in 30° they are cold. I would rate the boots at 5 stars, except for how cold they are in moderately cold temperatures.

      These boots fit great right out of the box. Very comfy, no break in needed. Haven’t put them to the test yet - hoping the Goretex holds up in the wet.

      I’ve heard about the quality of Danner Boots for a while. After completely destroying my other hunting boots. Decided it was time to upgrade. Asking people on hunting forms and reading reviews. Saddle hunting I needed something with a hard sole. Went ahead with the purchase of the Alsea boots. When the boots arrived. I tried them on and went shopping with the wife. Spent a few hours on my feet. The day laced them back on and off to the woods we went. I must admit that I should have bought a pair of Danner boots sooner. These boots are comfortable and warm. The sole is hard enough for standing on a platform and adding enough traction your feet don’t slip off while moving around.

      Unfortunately I got these boots after hunting season. Did use them after a heavy snow fall, had to use thin socks because thick socks got my feet too hot. Great boot. Still breaking them in.

      Second pair of hunting boots I've purchased. I bought mine and after less than 30 miles, boots leather failed to hold stitching and exposed the insulation in a place that see minor flex. I'm disappointed as I expected these to last much longer. Being in a wet environment when in use, they can't be used. Maybe defective, but out of warranty period to claim credit when damage was noticed. Rest of the boot meets expectation so far, can't use them further due to damage.

      I couldn’t wear them but the Fort Lewis that I ended up ordering was the best boot except I had to use the insert sole from the Powderhorn I replaced because the Fort Lewis did not have the insole. Don’t understand why insoles are not included. I expect insoles when ordering boots

      I ordered the insulated version by mistake. I returned them and am awaiting the availability of the uninsulated Alseas. Danner says they will let me know when they are available at which time I’ll use my store credit. Danner has been good to work with.

      Great boots. Fit is perfect. Been wearing them for icefishing, had 1200gram boots and my feet would get cold from sweating. These boots keep my feet dry and warm. Temps varied from 0-25°F.

      I have had several pairs of Danner boots and they have never disappointed me. Y last pair lasted 9 years before the soles wore out. The Alsea’s once again have not disappointed me. They are true to size, very comfortable, lightweight and quiet to walk in. I have a wide foot and Danners have been and continue to be the most comfortable pair of boots I’ve ever warn.

      I have worn the boots bow hunting twice so far and tge are very comfortable. Pretty much broke in right out of the box. I walk a couple miles each trip so a limited review. Pretty Warm temperatures but my feet are not hot. Very happy with my purchase.

      I admit I bought this boot with too high of expectations for the cold weather performance. This boot is not for all day sits in December/January...anything less than 20 degrees will probably be uncomfortable. However, they are a GREAT boot and if you're moving (tracking/scouting) then you can definitely push into single digits. Construction is amazing and I LOVE Gore-Tex. I bought a half size larger than normal to accommodate a thick sock and I'm glad I did. I don't have wide feet, but the toe box would've been too small if I had gone with my normal size and a thick sock. As it is, my toes are comfortable and the extra breathing room maximizes the circulation/warmth. I really like the height of these boots when going through the woods because it adds to the confidence I'm not going to step in something deep enough to go over the top. The materials are rugged enough to withstand sticks/branches/burrs/mud/snow without marring. The gusseted tongue works but doesn't bunch when laced up and the lacing system is easy to use. Definitely recommend to everyone.

      Bought for hunting, the width was tight during break in but once done, these boot fit great. But those first two weeks were not awesome. If you purchase, make sure to bring backup boots while you break them in.

      I’ve put several miles on these boots now and have no complaints, they only had a short break in period around the ankle. The only draw back to this boot is the outside of the boot takes a long time to dry. Hunting in the rain all day my feet stayed bone dry but the outside took two days to dry out and I had a fan on them overnight, seems like a long time to me

      I wish I could post pictures of the swamps I trudged through last week in Northern Minnesota with these boots. With water above my ankles nearly every step I expected the moisture to soak through at any moment. To my surprise it never did. I still can't believe my socks remained completely dry. I'll be buying Danner again when it's time for another pair of boots.

      This boot is incredibly comfortable, BUT this pair recently purchased, within the past month, is having signs of thread wear and stitching compromising in very critical areas. These areas are going to cause moisture infiltration and also total non wearability since the stitch breakage is in areas of both support and water protection. Not really sure why this is occurring, I have loved my Danner boots for the past 2 decades, maybe just an assembly line flaw, but for sure it is not a good review from my perspective. Again, I LOVE the comfort of this boot, and have purchased it over several past years. I am hoping that this is an anomaly. I would appreciate a replacement for this pair as I know this is not the usual life for ONE MONTH of wear for this boot.
