    The boots are very comfortable! They seem to be well made but only time will tell. Run true to size. Plenty of room in the toebox. They're a little thick for hot weather boots but should be great for the cool months. The eyes are the reason for the 3 stars. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! If the boots weren't so comfortable I would return them due to the lacing system. I will buy some extra long laces so I can leave them laced up and not have to fight with lacing them every time I put them on.

    I received these boots about 3 weeks ago now and they seem to be already broken in. When I was in the Army I really liked the Danner Rivots and the StrikerBolts have a very similar sole. They are very supportive when wearing full gear. I am a Park Ranger now so I am on foot a lot in a variety of terrains. They are very comfortable and have amazing grip. After a long day of being on my feet my back and knees are feeling better than ever. I highly recommend these boots for law enforcement.

    The Striker has the lightness of a running shoe coupled with the toughness and support of a boot. Having owned several pairs these boots, I can attest to their ability to provide consistent support and traction in a number of varied environments. The only thing I do not recommend them for is consistent heavy labor. If you are on your feet all day then this is an excellent boot for you. They do seem to run slightly small. I would order a half size up and get a pair of Danner in soles.

    I've been wearing Striker's as an LEO in Canada for years, from the original Strikers, to the Striker Torrent, and now the Striker Bolt. These have the out-of-the-box comfort and lasting durability you would expect from a Striker boot. This boot loses points with the lacing system and not having a pull loop on the back. I also liked the height of the Striker, these are about an inch shorter. In my opinion, if they put this outsole on the Striker Torrent, that would be the perfect boot for frontline law enforcement duties.

    The boots are comfortable once you get them on. I work a twelve hour shift as a guard, on my feet the whole time. But, getting them on SUCKS. They need a heel loop to help. Get the side zip if you can.

    These boots are above average if you are someone that has been wearing Under Armor or Bates quality boots. However these boots are garbage if you are someone that has been wearing Danner boots of the past. The quality does not live up to the Danner name and they are charging way to much fir a boot that should be priced like an Under Armor boot. Wish you would bring back the Rivot TFX or make an updated version of the Acadia. Danner, bring back the boot making to the USA and make higher quality boots. The followers will pay the higher prices for better boots.

    I am a huge fan of Danner boots but have a problem with their boots - they have too much volume, especially in the toe boxes. This problem was not such an issue with my last pair. I currently have two sets of insoles in my boots to make them fit better. I do wish Danner had kept the pull tab on the boot back as it makes these boots difficult to pull on. It's a little thing but important especially when the lacing system in these boots stays tight even without a knot.

    Boots are comfortable enough once you get them on, however, the lacing system is horrible. They take forever to lace up the upper eyelets if the laces happen to come out. These boots would be great with a speed lace system (where the laces run around eyelets resembling hooks). Don't be in a hurry to get them on.

    1 have bought many Danner boots, I go these to replace my Stikers from 10 years ago. They changed the lace eyelets to something needing a place riveted to the back and they came from the factory missing the backing plate. Completely unusable and gave me 0 confidence in this model. Super unhappy about it.

    Boot was comfi and fit well. Problem was there was no boot strap to pull them on the back of the boot. Also the eyelets were too small to lace up boot quickly and laces not long so they pulled through the eyelets. Perfect 8 inch screws add a bootstrap an old-school eyelets and it would be perfect

    Really comfortable. I am on my feet constantly for twelve hours a day four days a week or more. Only pair of boots I never had to buy inserts for. Definitely worth the price. Only thing I don’t like is how the eyelits are designed. Get rid of the ones on the sides.

    I am very disappointed ! I only wear Danner boots and this is the 3rd pair of Striker Bolt's that the heal stitching has failed and the heal leather part has pulled away from the Gortex part. I never had this problem with the previous design Stryker's ???? Because of a foot / leg condition, the Stryker's work great for me. I have purchased over 10 pairs.     This is about my Danner boots. They're well made. The sizing is true. They're comfortable. I always buy Danner boots because of their quality and fit. I read in the review before ordering about the complaints on the lacing system. If I would have known how time consuming the process would be I would have ordered the boots with the zipper. This is why I'm giving it a good vs. an excellent review.

    I have worn Strikers for the past 8 years and these are the best of the line. First, the tread is more agressive. Lacing isn't much of a problem and they have a good snug fit. I find that a Danner footbed works better than the insole that comes with the boot. Also, I am somewhere between a 10.5d and an 11d. I get the 11s and use the Danner footed. This is a great boot. Professional looking and functional, tough and comfortable.

    Not sure if it's just my boots. The inside of the boot where the tongue overlaps turn into a very hard and uncomfortable knot when you lace them up. I've worn mine over a month and they don't seem to be getting any better.

    Boots are different for everyone these aren't for me. Expected more for the money. Boots very uncomfortable in the heel. Lace design is hard to snug up. Eyelets drag against laces not giving you a true quick-pull tie job. Overall for the money I'd personally go a different route.

    The top five shoe lace ilets are not practical. When you tighten the shoe lace, there is ware on the shoe string. All ilets some be the same as the bottom four.

The only thing I don’t care for is the lacing system on these boots, I prefer the old style of a round eyelet which makes it easier and faster to lace and unlace .     I don’t understand why companies fix things that are not broken. The eyelet didn’t need to be changed it takes forever to lace up they took the pull tab on back off to assist pulling them on. You can tell people that don’t use the boot designed them. Don’t know if I’ll purchase again.

    LEO in Canada. I’ve worn Strikers for 10 years. These boots were very comfortable but like everyone else says, lacing system was horrible. I wore a hole through the upper within a year just from everyday use. Definitely not the quality I’m accustomed to from Danner. Future versions should have a much better lacing system and a strip of leather that runs up the length of the back of the boot, where it flexes the most, to provide support and durability to the boot.

    I've been wearing Strikers for 12 years and Danner keeps improving them. They're light yet very tough and they have excellent stability. My only critique is that the laces could be a bit longer.

    Nice boot with room for comfort. Not too heavy, and great in the rain. Only complaint is there is no bootstrap. For a taller boot, there really should be a strap to help pull it on.

    I did the upgrade from the previous Striker Torrent and am quite happy. The lacing is a bit like an M.C. Escher drawing, but they fit great and are super comfortable. I think I like them better than the previous model.

    I have worn boots all my life and I bought these boots several years ago on a suggestion when I got back into law enforcement and I have never owned a different pair for work. My boots fit great easy to take off and put on. They do not hurt my feet or ankles like many have mentioned on the reviews. I like wearing them at work and watching other officers tip toe around water when I can walk right through the puddle without getting my feet wet. As of right now I will not own any other boot for work as I can trust and rely on them to get the job done.

    I bought these and was really impressed with the overall construction, fit and finish of these boots. The MAJOR flaw and biggest complaint I have is the lacing system (and the laces)! I had to send these back because it would take me 10 minutes to put these on and dress them with my trousers! Why not do speed hooks or something more simple? I recommend that a future "updated" version of these boots have the speed lacing of the new Pronghorn Boots or just make an all-black version of the new Pronghorn and name them Striker Bolt II!

    I have worn duty boots of all types for 22 years on duty. These are the most painful boots i have ever worn. At first I thought they must need broke in, but no they just cause terrible pains in your feet and make your flesh raw. Im usually bleeding when removing these after a 12 hour shift. Avoid these boots at all cost! The are the most expensive and worst boot I've ever worn!

    I’ve been a police officer for 12 years and the last 8 as a K9 Officer. I have always worn Danner boots and know the importance of having good dependable boots to work in daily. I’ve been extremely brand loyal to Danner. I’ve tried most of the boots you have to offer and this time went with the Danner StrikerBolt 8” Black GTX. I’ve worn the boots for less than 3 months and the sole on the toe of one of the boots is already peeling away. I’m also disappointed that this style boot doesn’t have the fabric loop on the back to help pull the boot on. And lastly the shoe laces are garbage. They have always been garbage but it’s something I’ve always dealt and replaced on my own since I liked the boots. Within 1-2 months of everyday use the shoe laces fray and need to be replaced. I don’t understand why Danner doesn’t use better shoe laces that last longer. I’ve also noticed the toe on this style boot seems to have more room in it and doesn’t fit as well as the other model boots that I have worn in the past. My order # is 102070682.     Overall really good boot. I would recommend the side zip being that taking these on and off is a little bit of a pain. Extended break-in period FYI. A little on the clunky side . . so for those who are looking for something athletic not recommended. 10 year veteran of corrections. These are a great block boot with tons of comfort, despite shortcomings.

    LEO in Canada. Had these for just over a year and they’ve already worn a hole right through at the back where the upper meets the lower. Two of the lacing eyelets popped out within a couple months of owning them and I had to superglue them back in. Danner’s quality is definitely going downhill. I had Strikers and Striker Torrents previously which way outlasted these boots. And to confirm what others on here have said, the lacing system sucks. Eyelets seem to be all over the place in no particular pattern. Makes it very difficult to lace up. Although they are extremely comfortable in true Striker fashion, I can’t bring myself to give them more than two stars. They should last more than a year for the price I pay and expect for Danner craftsmanship, and the lacing system is a big turn off.

    Pulling the laces tight each day is more difficult than it should be. The soft tongue material and the supplied laces don’t play well together. I wish they had side zippers. Other than that I’m very happy with them.
