    Unforunately, this pair of boots was quite a disappointment. Every previous boot from you guys has been comfortable immediately without any break in time needed, and lasted for years before the soles wore out. I've been wearing this pair for my 24hr EMS shifts, and they have yet to break in. I have spots on my ankles from where the boots are rubbing, no matter how tight or lose I make them. The zipper digs in. The sole is taller and shaped different and actually makes me walk different which has cause foot and calf pain lasting days. Since I've worn them for multiple shifts already, and I can't spend the money right now to get the pair I had before these, I didn't think anything could be done at this point in time. Otherwise, there are no issues with Danner overall. I still love you guys and will purchase a replacement when I have the finances to do so.

    After retiring my last pair of these, I was happy to see an updated design with waterproofing. Seems to still keep my feet cool like the old model while keeping my feet dry. They do run about a half size small in my opinion and if you have wide feet you might want to look elsewhere.

    These are great shoes. I have Type 3 flat feet. I need solid shoes with strong heel counters. These shoes fit the bill. I walk a lot and no shoe lasts long, but Danner goes longer than any but the most expensive shoe I have tried. I have been using this particular shoe for many years now and I hope to keep using them.

    A great light weight boot for hot weather. It’s nice that there’s no moisture wicking liner that ends up trapping body heat causing my feet to sweat even more. If you want a minimalist boot, this is the boot for you.

    Took about 2 weeks to break in. Mild blistering nothing unbearable (I wear thin compression style socks). Very good support! Only reason for 4 stars is I still have to untie the boot completely to put them on. If I try to keep them tied and use only the side zippers it's a super struggle I can't deal with when trying to get out the door for work.

    These boots are great for working in a hot and dry climate. Super light and good airflow to the feet. There is a short break in time, about a week for me, where the heel cup rubbed on the Achilles. I’m going on week 3 and have no issues with the mesh sides or zippers failing....knock on wood. I’m working 4-12’s and 1-4hrs shifts, clocking roughly 45miles walked a week and these boots are holding up nicely. My Acadia were just a little to heavy and didn’t breathe well enough. I do miss the Vibram sole on them though. I love my Danner boots!

    Enjoy the quality and look/fit of the boots. It's lightweight yet durable and easy to keep clean with a basic oil sponge pad. The side zip & speed laces make the "Scorch" easy to put on heading to work and taking off after a long day. I'm extremely flat-footed & I was impressed with the overall support. I did compliment this work boot with a standard pressure relief insole for additional support/cushion, something I've done with every duty boot I've purchased but the Danner "Scorch" could definitely hold up on its own. My foot measures approximately 13 1/2 (U.S.) EE width in the toe box with an average to narrow heal. I ordered a 14EE and with the additional insole and basic moisture absorbing socks, I would say the sizing is very accurate. This is my first purchase with Danner & will definitely not be the last.

    The heel strap on the right boot tore off the top of the boot the very first time I put them on. Other than that, exactly what you would expect from a Danner boot. I have very wide feet, so it may not be an issue with the boot. The right boot is just a little narrow towards the toe. Hoping it will stretch out with time. Comfortable.

    First off let me say this is the first pair of side zip boots I have ever bought. I am not a fan of this feature. The boots themselves are a good looking boot but they are really not as comfortable as any other boot I have had from Danner. I had hoped the comfort would have gotten better by now but it hasn't. I have had them for about a month or a little more. The tongue on one boot seems to always shift off center and get uncomfortable. I'm not really sure what causes it as it only happens on the one boot. I tried to put a pair of Danner Dxt footbeds in them but this mad the boot even more uncomfortable. All in all they just really are not what I was hoping for.

    Fit is not good for me. Normally wear a 12 D. Ordered these in a 12 EE. Very tight on the outside of both feet. Felt good when I first got them, but when wearing them for a days work became very uncomfortable. Will wear them around the house as I probably can’t return them. They also don’t seem to have a lot of support.

    The boot is of good quality. However, the boot is not breathable. I have never had problems with my feet sweating until wearing this boot. After working a weekend night shift my socks were wet with sweat to the point of causing blisters. The boots also fit narrow which at times feels uncomfortable.

    These Scorch boots broke in quickly (1 day of use) and provided unparalleled stability, comfort and functionality - straight out of box. My job as a cargo pilot entails a great deal of walking, climbing and squatting. The boots perform well, are comfortable and maintain traction even on the metal floor plates when they’re wet. The soles edge below the heel area are smooth and don’t hang-up on the floor plates beneath the rudder pedals, which had been the case with the last two types of footgear I tried. I was skeptical about the high price, but truly, you get what you pay for.

    Super comfortable right out of the box, a little squeaky on tile and vinyl floors the first few hours I wore them but that quickly went away. Didn’t notice a breaking in phase like I do with other boots and the side zip makes them really easy to take on and off. Haven’t used them in inclement weather yet but they feel solid and I have no issue wearing them while on my feet for 8+ hours a day. The boots are breathable and with the right socks my feet don’t sweat like they did with other boots no matter what I did. Looking like this will be the boot I use for the rest of my career.

    Defective Boot

    I am hoping that I have a defective boot. I purchased these after the other Danner's I have worn for years became discontinued. The first time I put these on, I felt one of the eyelets digging into my ankle. I made sure that I had the padding of the boot under it, and it continued to rub. I wore them in my house just walking back and forth thinking I would be able to break them in and it would stop but it continued to the point that I had bruising on my ankle. I did not have them tied so tight that loosening would have made this better. This specific boot is a failure for a replacement from an excellent now discontinued model. I am disappointed as I have worn Danner throughout my LE career, and this is probably my sixth pair. I am hoping that I'll be able to exchange these for something else that is comfortable to wear.

    Awesome pair of boots, the toes shine up pretty good. I will be seeing how these hold up over the next few months, so far very satisfied.

    I have worn these boots for a long time and they are perfect for my needs. I have 3rd degree flat feet and wear orthotics. They give me the support that I need.

    I absolutely love these boots they’re great for summer wear and keep my cooler in the summer heat. I’d recommend them to anyone.

    Worst boots. I walk about 5-6 miles per day for work & these have torn the back of my foot to a bloody mess
