    These are great work boots.

    These are great work boots. The leather is thick and sturdy, the sole has a lot of grip, and they are much lighter than most steel toed boots I've had in the past. They are also much lower profile than a lot of boots with a steel toe which is a plus.

    Only work boot I buy now, for the last several years. Work construction and I typically replace them every two years. They last and once formed to your foot, they are 5/5 comfortable. Only thing I would like to see in the future is this model with a composite toe. Would be lighter and help with toes freezing in the winter. I usually wear a different boot for extreme cold when I’m outside all day.

    So far so good! Break in period was nothing. They are comfortable and fit like I had hoped. I used to wear doc martens industrials. They are good but I think I’ll be coming back to these for my next pair as long as they hold up as long as the docs did. I usually get two years out of those so only time will tell.

    These boots are amazing until you get a few mo.ths in amd the stitching around the toes starts to wear and break and the soles wear out super quick . But wait they are recraftable this is where the but comes in for the price of the recraft to have the soles and stitching done you spend more than buying a new pair of boots again. Danner it seems if you stood behind your product better by rewarding people who wear the crap out of your boots and saying they are recraftable make it worth wanting to recraft. Ive worn danner for years and it feels like a let down knowing its cheaper to just buy new boots. Just my 2 cents I guess but I can say after all these years im breaking away from the danner brand.

    I have been a longtime customer of these boots. I found that this pair had a tighter fit across the top of the boot were it pinches the top of my foot and leaves a mark on the top of my foot. This is located at where the beginning of where the laces start. Would of thought that purchasing the wider version would have provided more room. However that is not the case. The toe box is also very narrow on the wide version. To compensate for the wide foot, I had to order a larger size and the boot fits longer than I would have liked. Makes walking difficult. The most disappointing feature of my boots have to be the lacing hooks. I have broke x2 hooks just from walking. I don’t lace the boots tight just normal tie and comfortable lace up. Having only been using these boots for less than a month, I found this unacceptable and I am very disappointed as this has caused me further financial fixes on what I consider a basic function of the boot.

    Break in was brutal. These boots run narrow. Factory insoles were paper thin. It took several applications of mink oil and saddle soap to soften the leather enough, and replacement wide size insoles that forced the heels and arches out. I had to spend a good bit of money to get them wearable. They're good boots but my next pair won't be Danners

    So I really wanted to like these boots, and to be fair, I think they look great. The problem is the fit, finish, and feel. Right off the bat, the design doesn’t accommodate the additional steel toe on the interior dimensions. Meaning what should be a size 9.5, now needs to be a size 10 or 11 to fit the same toe. But this means that the rest of the boot doesn’t fit. In addition to this, when it doesn’t fit great, and is constructed with very stiff leather, it rubs all the wrong way causing blisters. As for the finish, with something at this price point, I wasn’t expecting the brown leather color to rub off so easily on any clothes they came into contact with - aka socks and pants. Overall, very dissatisfying for me. Maybe if I had a different foot shape and didn’t care about the brown transfer to my clothes, they would have a higher rating. You be the judge.

    I bought these boots, and did not mind spending the extra money because they were made in American. After about 6 months of light work at a Power Plant the stitching is coming apart at the toe box. I like the way the boots fit and look but I would not recommend them as a workbook. They will not hold up for very long.

    I absolutely love these boots! No insole required. The first few days were a bit brutal on my heel, so I wore heel bandaids. Mostly because they needed to soften up and tying them too tight I’m guessing. On the 4th day of wearing them I didn’t wear the bandaids on my heels and they easily became my favorite work boot. I’ll always keep these moving forward. They do fit to size, so do not buy under size like you would with most boots. I’m an 11 and I always bought 10.5 because most boots are slightly bigger. These I was lucky to buy 11 and they were perfect.

    These are the second pair I have owned. And other than the foam sole wearing too quickly, I have only one complaint/request. Please put a loop for laces on the tongue to help keep it in place. The tongue on both pairs of boots falls to the outside and wrinkles, making for a very discomforting feel on the top of the foot.

    The construction on these seems solid, and I really want to like them. However, these are the least comfortable boots I've ever owned. Maybe it's because I have high arches and wedge soles don't mix with a high arch? I feel like my feet are breaking at the balls every time I wear them.     I've had these boots for a few weeks and I have to admit I've fairly impressed. The upper is nice enough it doesn't seem like a giant chunky boot, so it's reasonably suited for the office (probably more casual office). Lacing them up is actually relatively easy which is always a plus. If I was being critical though firstly I would have liked to see them with a slightly deeper grooved trend. I'm not sure how these would hold up on a slick surface, time will tell. Secondly, and to be fair Danner does say this in the listing, the bottom white soles get dirty/stain rather easy. It would be nice to have a darker sole color option, but I digress. The soles have a little more cushion then normal, so that is a nice feature. Even with those two things though, these are nice boots. The price is more than fair in my opinion given how long the Danner boots last. Granted like anything you need to see how it wears over time, but the one month impression is these are five stars.

    Ordered the same size I’ve had 7 pairs of Quarry wedge alloy toe (12D)and can’t even fit my foot in them, then ordered a size up (13D) and still short and way to tight width. Bring back the Quarry wedge… returned both pairs, finding something else.

    These are my second pair of the Bull Run Moc Toe steel toe boots. These are by far the finest boots I’ve worn. They are light, comfortable, and seemingly extremely well built. These were purchased to replace my 2 yr old (same) boots but I’ve not switched them out yet. I expected a rebuild much sooner but they are still not quite there yet. Once I have the originals “rebuilt” I will probably put them in service. I’m sure I’ll be equally impressed.

    The Bull Run Moc Steele toe is a fine boot. Only draw backs include the break in period. Get some leather conditioner and oil that baby up. Also, get yourself some different insoles cause those bad boys are flat and hard. Make sure to warm your boots up before work and stretch that leather with thick wool socks too. Aside from that I was well pleased with the boot.

    First time purchasing the Bull Run Moc Toe ST & I’m very happy with them so far. They broke in very fast and the comfort of the soles is Awesome. I wear Smartwool heavy hiker socks with them and the boots feel great even after a 15+ hour day. They’re holding up great as most Danner’s do. I’d definitely recommend these boots if your on your feet a lot and especially if your on concrete or hard surfaces all day. I have worn other Danner boots for years and they always build great boots.

    Work 50 ish hours a week in automotive plant, boots have held up decently well aside from the rear if the soles already ripping apart from climbing in machinery. Break in period wasn't too bad. Definitely wish these were offered in composite toe. Toe box is just a tad narrower than I'd prefer.

    Second pair I have owned. The first pair lasted three years. Great boot. The full grain leather is stiff at first but quickly breaks in. I keep them saturated with Huberds Shoe grease which helps soften things up.

    The boots are fine, well made and comfortable. I prefer the bull run Cristy boot but since it is not offered in safety toe I had to make this choice instead for work so that's why only 4 stars.     I got these boots for my boyfriend, and he had only worn them 3 days and the leather started to peel away from the sole. He works construction and is hard on his boot, he absolutely loves the style and comfort of the boot, however he is super disappointed that they are starting to fall apart after only a few days of wearing them.. I would have expected a much better product/quality from the Danner name, especially for the price.

    I am very picky when it comes to my work boots. I've used every manufacturer and have had some great boots over the years. But, I've never used Danner boots until now. This may be the best boot I've ever worn. I softened up well with mink oil before I began wearing them to work and they broke-in easily and are super comfortable.

    Love the look, not a bad break in period. The width of my foot is a little in between needing a wide boot and regular width. These seem to be a tiny bit narrower with the steel toe than my last set of ST steel yard Danners I bought for work, not bad though.

    I need steel toe for my job but would buy these same boots w/o steel toe because they’re comfortable for all day wear. I like the look and feel of the genuine cow hide. Haven’t worn them in warm weather but I suspect they create sweaty feet since they don’t have a breathable layer. I don’t wear WIDE in any other shoes/boots that I own but had to replace the regular width version of these for the wide one because I found they do run narrow, but their website mentions it, too. I didn’t have the chance to physically try them on prior to purchase.

    I have been using these boots for 4 months now at work. The soles are chunked out already. I pull nails out of the bottom routinely. The steel toe casing makes the shoe even narrower. The casing attaches to the sole right under your toes which caused my feet to be especially sore. You can feel it the entire day. Really disappointing for a shoe I was excited for. Cant wait to get out of these. Not worth the money.

    Overall it is a nice boot. I have to be careful not to tighten the laces much so the boot doesn't put pressure over the top outside of my foot. I am on my feet all day holding up horses as I provide foot care and apply shoes, I would say the sole could have just a little more cushion to it. My previous boot was the Keen San Jose. That sole was fantastic but couldn't hold up to the work. The lack of a fifth star is due to the mild discomfort over the top when tightened and the rigid sole.

    The feel and comfort of the boot is great. I have bought the same boots before and they were great. However, the craftsmanship and attention to detail has gone down a bit. The tongue of the new boot is misshapen and doesn’t cover the front of the foot evenly. The previous boots were a bit more detailed.

    Best work boot of purchased to date. My only complaint is that I’ve got to wear thick socks otherwise the top eyelet will rub the inside of my ankle on one of the boots. Otherwise no complaints. I’ll wear these boots casually not just for work.

    My first Danner steel caps , and very impressed nice and comfy on the mine site for 12 hours a day leather flexible and steel toe doesn't hit your foot which is always painful. I work in iron ore so the red dirt stains most shoes fairly quickly but the leather is going really well after 6 months.. nice boots will def use again

    Like all others who wrote reviews of this boot, there is not much to complain about. Fit is great, comfortable as ever once the leather is a bit beat in. The only disappointing feature was the stitching around the toe busted on me within the first 2-3 weeks of wear. I wear these boots daily, I work for a development company, and am on a job site for a minimum of 10 hours a day. If only the stitching would hold up better, these would be my all time boot to go to.

    Sadly I had to return those boots because they were too small, so I can't give you an accurate review. But the gentleman I spoke to regarding the return told me its kind of a common problem and that I should order a size up. That's on my to-do list next week, so here's hoping that advice plays out. I'll leave the 5 stars for the service and the quality of all of my other Danner boots.

    I like my Bull Run Moc Toe 6" Brown ST. They’re a sturdily manufactured boot that fit well. Now that I feel I’m passed the break in period, I’m a little disappointed that they consistently stain all of my socks and my ankles when working in hot weather. I’m hoping this will taper off at some point. Whatever the tanning process or dying process, I feel like the color should not be continuously coming off on my ankles every time I wear them. An issue I have that is personal to my body is there is seem right on top nerve that radiates to my toes. I realize this is an issue that has to do with my anatomy, so this is not being reflected in my rating. I also feel like Danner should have a free shipping option.

    I tried the normal width and it was a good bit too narrow. I went down 1/2 a size into a wide but that's a tiny bit too wide. I think this boot fits a bit roomier than I'm used to but it's still comfortable for work. I would not recommend this fit for jobs that demand walking over rough terrain since the fit isn't perfect for my feet.

    was hesitant about the steel toe but the weight is not noticeable. i ordered the same size i normally wear and they were tight to start, required multiple half days of breaking in, and while I'm not there yet, they are on the way to being the most comfortable boots i own. the leather color is awesome, the non-scuffing soles are a treat.

    Pretty comfortable being in them all day, the outer sole seems to be the weakest link of the bolt, mine is kind of peeling away just under the toe. The leather is thin which is nice for weight and quick break in, but for the long run I feel it would not be as durable as other brands.

    Just got my second pair. Best work boot I’ve worn. The break in period is barely noticeable and they last years with some decent care for the leather. Compared to other MOC toes I’d say Danner is the best!

    I was so excited for my pair of Danner boots knowing the reputation of the company and recommended by a number of friends. I have been sorrowfully disappointed by these boots. I figured that when buying them I was trading some durability for a more comfortable sole. I don't know if my boots are defective or if they use cheap materials for the sole but to my shock the sole began to split down the middle about 4 weeks in which is a huge letdown. I have been able to keep them basically functional with a combination of shoe goo and superglue but it makes me quite upset for a boot of this price. What I found in the roughly 6 weeks of work in which I have been using them is the soles are rock hard and leave your feet aching. The intermediate sole is hard and flat yielding no arch support.made matters somewhat better but it's still puzzling given how soft and spongy the outer-sole is. I got an additional innersole which I am actually confused as to this boots purpose. I fear that Danner is yet another proud American brand that is slouching off into the irrelevance of luxury fashion. I suppose if your use of these boots was walking around to various coffee shops or working from home they might fit the bill but as a work boot they are rather sad.

    The boots did not meet price I paid for them. To begin with I got a pair that was not trimmed correctly and there was excess leather which looked hideous. Secondly the first day I wore them I had both of my rear foot where the top of the laces go swollen. (The back part rubs a lot on the rear of the foot) I won’t be wearing these again

    Have been wearing work boots for about 2 weeks now. They broke in enough to tolerate in about 3 days. My right boot was made a bit more narrow than my left boot. You can clearly see the toe box is pointier on my right than left. It's not horrible but my pinky toe does feel a little discomfort. I get it, they're hand made. Or at least I think they are? But it does seem obvious that the steal toe isn't identical. That's my only gripe. Style wise, they look great and the material is high quality.

    These boots look great and feel great after considerable break-in. My arches are medium and the boots feel supportive. They are narrow in a good way which provides stability and support. The insoles are just ok, but I replace all my insoles in all my boots with another brand I happen to like. My only real complaint is the weight. These boots are great for work very stable and supportive. They’re just a little heavier than I like for everyday wear around town. I would buy these again for sure.

    They did meet my expectations. I went back to my old Danners. For buying a wide boot they are not too wide at all. They are real tight in the toe box to the extreme that they hurt. The laces do not stay tight. Tying them 6 times a day. Understand break in but that’s not right. I was so looking forward to this boot. I normally buy 2 pairs right away and I’m glad I didn’t this time. I love how the Danner quality was but now I’m rethinking my next choice. These are not cheap boots and come with high reviews. Now they sit.

    The steel toe box has been giving me issues with rubbing with sharp edges creating blisters. The toe box seems too tight as well. I reached out to customer service to see if I could swap out for a non-steel toe pair of the Bull Run. My older pair worked perfect.

    Great boot. Love the look and feel and comfortable after you break them in. I keep them loosely tied and have even stepped on the backs like a slipper in order to help break them in. Once broken in, they have been super comfortable and no issues as others have staged about falling apart or threads coming undone

    The weight is just about right: heavy enough to know it's durably made and light enough to move about unencumbered. The steel toe is inobtrusive, as it should. The D width fit a little narrow, but EE width is perfect without being too wide.

    Almost perfect steel toe boot. The only issue I’ve had is with the upper part of the boot. It tends to dig into the back of my ankle. I fixed this by not lacing it all the way up I leave the top notch unlaced. It still provides support and comfort . I use to use Ariats and my feet killed me after working 10 hours a day but that’s definitely not the case with these. Would definitely recommend these boots to any one working in manufacturing and you’re on your feet all day. Your feet will thank you.

    Was my first time buying danner boots . A buddy of mine talked them up so much I ordered a set . This boots are just different and I can say I don’t care for the toungue or the laces but I get compliments on them. The tongue is probably the worst part being so thin and winkles up no matter what you do . The laces are not that great but I can’t put into words what I’m dealing with while tying my shoe laces

    I have owned many Danner boots quarrys, centurions, and bull runs. The moctoe bull runs only lasted me 6 months the stitching fell apart at the toes and the top of the foot near the eyelets. I was very disappointed because I had the Bull run originals with a steel toe and they lasted me about 4 years. The design of the moctoe needs to be looked at again.

    Don't be fooled, these boots are not built for real work. After 4 months of landscape and forestry work the seams on my steel toe Bull Runs are blown, there is a large gash in one of the soles simply from using a shovel, and overall they are completely blown out. This is a little bit more disturbing considering steel toe boots are assumed to be protecting your feet from injury, but after just a short period of time these boots are leaving my feet directly exposed. I don't want to rag on Danner too hard, I was impressed with my Vicious Comp Toe's, but these are definitely not work boots, and if you work with saws or heavy machinery they could be dangerous. On a separate note, even with the Wide size these are still much narrower than the regular width Vicious, would not recommend if you have wide feet.
