The Carolina logger, a good boot for the price.

To date, the best fitting 'online' Logger I have ever worn although I did expect the 4E width to have a little more room in the steel toe but so far the boots haven't caused rubbing or blisters.
Logger boots must fit your feet well 'the heel in particular', these boots, because they fit well, these boots are very stable to walk/move in and feel sure footed.
The 'Carolina' leather is as expected, a little stiff but will stretch slightly and soften with wear, there are two flex points of the leather boots; above the toes and in the front of the ankle/top of foot.
The cut of leather and how it creases above the toe flex seems to be good on both boots with little bulging, the left boot flexes around the ankle well, but the right boot creases deeply around the ankle, this should become more comfortable with wear. Note; my right foot is a little larger than the the left.
It would have been good to have a removable innersole.
The Carolina outer sole/tread seems to be a harder rubber compound than 'Vibram', a bit harsh on the feet but may last well.
The lace eyelets over foot seem sharp, this does help to hold the laces tight but such may damage the laces in time, the laces are just over 6 foot long, and the pair of boots weigh 1.2kg or 2.6pounds.
The Carolina is a good boot for the price.

Unfortunately I had to return these boots. My son wanted the same pair he already had, so i ordered these. They came in quickly, but when he wore them that night in the rain, his feet got wet, and i had to return them. they are suppose to be waterproof. tried to reach customer service, and was put on hold for over 15 mins. and had to go back to work

My Son and I have always had Chippewa boots. Decided to try this boot and we are not happy. He wore them for about 10 min and the fit is horrible, and quality does not compare. I really want to send them back if at all possible

Bought my boots about a month ago and they are holding up really well. I work in a tree service company that's pretty busy and we walk through dirt,mud,water,fecal matter from livestock, and my boots take a big beating from having to cut up trees and brush and move it. These boots have taken all that and I know will tough out more beatings. If you're thinking about getting these then go for it they're a good investment!

I bought them a week ago and wore them to work they are hard as a rock the still toes gave me blisters within 2 days. I am completely dissatisfied. Do not purchase them.

I bought these boots 3 years ago and I wear them everyday. I live in these things. They are super comfortable. They're a little tall to start but the heel flattens (as they're supposed to) and they are heavy but I prefer that because they make me a little more stable. The waterproofing has held up this whole time. Great boots all around
