Unlined Duck Bib

Feb 8, 2021
Great pair of bibs. My body temp runs really hot air the quilt lined are way to hot and bulky for me, but these are perfect. Great cold weather gear. They do not fit as the same size as the quilt lines. They run way bigger so if you swear I ever x in quilt lined, you will need to buy two sizes smaller fir the unlined duck bib.

Great product, I wear jeans under them and as long as I stay active they're good well into the 20's. Had a pair of insulated and they were to hot. Four stars only because of the bib clips. Like the style, but needs to have more up and down play. Hard to hit the hole to fasten.

Shrunk the pockets

They shrunk the front pockets. To save money on manufacturing maybe. It ruins them not to have front pockets that can be used without worrying about your wallet falling out while working. Very disappointed in your company lost a 30 year customer.

Love these bibs!!! All the products should have a zipper on the leg. It makes it much easier for taking them on and off with work boots on.

Best Bibs Ever

Feb 26, 2020
Tough, comfortable, and true to fit. I got 32 x 30 since that is my pants size and they work perfectly over top of my cold weather and regular clothing without binding. The zips on the sides are also crucial since I can remove the bibs without having to take off my boots (a lot easier for putting on in general too). My wife is also a fan of them since the protect my regular clothes from as much wear and tear. Definitely my new favorite piece of work gear and now I am thinking about getting the lined ones as well; excellent product!

This particular Carhartt item is one of my favorites. I wear them from fall to spring almost everyday. The sad thing is that they have been discontinued. So I purchased two extra pair to put back for later on.

Love the warmth, but lack functionality
JulieC
Feb 22, 2022
I like how warm & waterproof these bibs are, but the relaxed fit makes them fit baggy and I get the chest panel caught on things. No tool pockets on the legs or hammer holder is a disappointment as I carry fencing pliers & a hoof pick always. The zippered backside is more of a hassle to use that just taking them down to use the restroom. Wish they had a full front zip and full leg zippers as I step in and out of my old ones much better. No idea how they stand up to barbed wire yet. I live in my carhartt bibs for nearly 6 months a year, so functionality is the key as I’m in & out of tractors, working cattle, riding horses, fixing fence, calving, etc….

My husband has been in many types of work and carhartt's have always been his favorite. They are made for any kind of work and temperatures.

poor design

fabric is solid, but hardware fastening shoulder straps to front bib is cheap, stamped junk, & pockets are poorly designed - specifically, the right thigh pocket is too small to hold a smartphone. Won't buy again until Carhartt hires better designers

Poor re-design

I just received a new pair of the bib overalls. I am very disappointed at the re-design with the pockets. What makes me almost mad about this is I wear these daily in construction. My last pair had a deeper front pocket that was able to be used. This pair has such a shallow pocket a tape measure wont stay. Please Carhartt understand this was a mistake on your part and change it. I will look at the other brands and find one with better side pencil pockets and a better front pocket design. Im amazed. It's like they are so shallow it was a mistake. Please let the construction industry know when you fix this problem.

Jan 2, 2019
Bought them for my husband for Christmas. He usually wears a 36, so I bought a 38 to fit over his jeans. Fit is perfect with still a little room, but I bought a 34 length and should have bought the 32 length. We will be exchanging them!

Please do not discontinue this model. There are very few improvements that can be made for people who use these daily.

Good fit. Used the fit wizard. I knocked of a star for a few reasons. Buttons are not heavy duty. Feels cheap. Same for the metal fitting on the shoulder straps. Also some stitching on the left hip was torn a bit. We’ll see how well they hold up.

Hate the new large zipper pocket!

Oct 30, 2023
I have worn Carhartt bibs last 12 years. I love the fit and the weight of the denim and duck material.
However, I hate the new one large zippered pocket.
As a dump trucker and farmer. I am constantly reaching for my phone. It's no longer handy to get out of my pocket. It falls down and zipping & unzipping pick is not ideal.

I am 6’3 195 and typically buy a 33 inch waist. I bought 32 and it’s a little snug but has stretched out. I typically like more form fitting clothing. People complain about the overall buckle but that is non issue if u ask me. In terms of work overalls where u feel completely impervious to outside elements, these are the ones to get. I’ll probably get the quilted ones as well but don’t really need them. If you live upstate and work outside all day long I would get those. These are still insanely warm but only recommend if your really moving outside while working.

Ordered 36 x36, as is my regular pant size. (6'5", 240 lbs.) The pant leg on these bibs are made slightly longer making them perfect when fitted over work boots. I am expecting them to handle all that I will put them through - cutting timber, moving brush, carpentry and work on the dock.
Bibs arrived in timely fashion - well wrapped with all documentation required (returns, receipt).
Only concern is the clip that holds suspenders. I am hoping they meet the test of time. Every other aspect of bib (zippers, buttons etc.) appear well put together.

After 2 day break in, they feel very comfortable. Wish they stayed with old chest pocket style. New zipper in front and 2 pouches are ok, just like old style

Bought these a couples years back for hunting, was tired of the wind blowing between pieces and freezing me out when crouching or laying down. Very glad I did! Also very glad I bought the side zip, feels good to sit and zip out my legs when it's hotter than planned. Buy a few inches over your waist size, and a couple over your length because they'll shrink. I bought the 36x32 and was glad I did! (generally wear a 32x32).

Farmers LOVE the fact that the ankle-to-thigh leg zips easily over/off boots and makes it easy to go over other heavier clothes. Have bought these for over 7 years for my guys!

Bought a pair of the Duck zip-to-thigh bib overalls/unlined, in black, for my son for Christmas. He is very pleased with them. Carhartt is the most purchased brand for work and casual clothes that my son has been using for the last 25 plus years. The bibs are his most favorite. He wears other Carhartt items; jackets, shirts, hats, etc., as well as most of his work buddies do, too. Thanks for making this reliable product for all work and casual uses.
