    Runs small, slightly lower waste

    I love that these do not stretch and loose their shape yet still move with you. They do run a tad small and there is some variability in sizing among colors. I had to send back the black version because too small, yet the blue fit fine... That is why I gave 4 stars for quality.

    I am generally a size 8-10 in jeans and the 8 fit really well overall. However, the calves are so tight that I can't really ignore it. And I have pretty average to thin calves. That tightness also makes them bunch up around my knees after sitting/crouching. Just a touch more room in the calves and these would be perfect.

    I loved these pairs of pants. I have bought them once a year for about 3 years now. Considering I work and walk all day I got them to last a good while, but they wore a little in the crotch area. Make sure that if you do buy these buy three or four pairs so they don't wear as quickly. They lasted longer the first time when I had 4 pairs (about 14 months) to change between rather than 3 pairs (6 ish months) and i was limited to those.

    I recently received a pair of these jeans and I just have to say that the material they are made of are SO comfy. I work a lot (always strolling around in scrubs) so I like to have clothes that are comfy but stylish. These jeans are those. They're not "paint on" skinny legged jeans which is a major plus. They're perfect

    They didn’t fit. I’m a true 14 in pretty much every brand I try on and these were way too tight. I couldn’t get the button done. They seemed great quality, but the sizing was off.

    These pants fit me well. I normally don’t buy women’s clothing because I’m on the small size and women’s sizes run too big on me but these pants are the few exceptions. The waist and the length of the pant legs fit me well.

    this is my favorite pair of jeans! I now own one of each color. I like the slim fit that has a comfortable stretch that is yet not too stretchy. I like the higher rise on them compared to other brands as they keep your butt covered. The weight of the material is just right, not too thin that would wear out quickly but not too heavy that they are compromising comfort.

    I have been wearing these consistently at work for about two weeks now. So far these have done really well & absolutely hold their shape. I have worn them several days in a row & they haven't stretched out once. However, they also don't have the most stretch or give in the thigh area, so bending & picking things up is a little more restricted. I assume that's kind of the trade off for them not stretching out, & so far I'm okay with it. I always get nervous about what size to order in new pants, & used the True Fit feature to see what it suggested. I'm normally a size 8, & TF suggested I order a 10. I took a chance & ordered my normal size 8 & I'm glad I did bc they fit perfectly. So if you're unsure like me, I'd suggest ordering your normal size. What I would LOVE so much, is if they made these pants with a high waist. THEN I think these could be my perfect work pants. High waist are just so much more comfortable for me. Please, Carhartt, add a HW option! Thank you for great pants!

    These jeans quickly became my favorite pair of jeans. They were shipped and I had them within a few days. They fit me perfectly and I am not constantly having to pull them up. I am 5'6" and ordered the LONG pants, they are perfect for me. Went to the site to order myself a few more pair and it states that they are being discontinued. Guess I have to find new favorite pants.

    I'm a big gal (size 18) and skinny jeans were not in my closet. I tried these on, not expecting them to fit worth a darn. The fabric is so forgiving, and it does not bind or constrict. I can kneel for hours wearing these. I prefer to wear a belt with them, as they are a lower rise than I am used to. The pockets are large and useful and all of them fit a large cell phone in a protective case. I've worn mine a dozen times and washed them as many with no fading or shrinkage. They feel great, they look great, and I can work in them. I think I will get a couple more pairs in the other colors.

    I was sent a pair to Field Test and I wouldn't have picked the gray for myself but I liked the color. They fit well in the waist, seat, and thighs but they were too tight in the calf for me. I'm 5'4" and had to roll them under because they were a little too long and the calves were skin tight. They would be great jeans for tall boots.

    I would highly recommend these jeans for those who have slim legs...they would look amazing under tall boots! Unfortunately, I have curvy, very muscular calves and these jeans really emphasize those curves. The waist, hip and thigh are well fitted and I loved the higher back waist! I am 5-8 and the length was perfect. The jeans washed well and still looked new after several washings. The material is very durable and though stretchy, they maintain their shape even after a day's wearing. The only issue for me was the fit of the calves...much, much too tight and looked painted on...great under boots, but not with any other type of shoe. The quality is fantastic, and even though they didn't fit exactly as I'd hoped, I still give them a 5 star rating!

They are great to work in, stretchy enough to give a wide range of motion but thick enough for durability and basic leg protection. I love that i can go straight from work to meet up with friends without having to change. I have relieved many compliments. I would recommend sizing up, I am 5 feet 4 inches , about 137 lbs and I ordered side 10.

    I received a pair of these jeans for testing and I wasn't 100 percent sold on them the first time I tried them on. First of all, I'm 5'11" so the regular length jeans were a bit shorter than I prefer, but still wearable with sandals or hiking boots. They were also very tight in the calf area but began to gap at the waist the more I wore them (I started wearing a belt with them so I wouldn't have to pull them up constantly as they stretched out). I wore these daily for several weeks and also wore them hiking to test out their durability. They were pretty comfortable and held up well, showing no signs of wear even after a few washes; however, all things considered, I didn't love the fit enough to buy another pair in this style.

    Perfect jeans! The fit is just right, no saggy knees or bottom. The bit of stretch is comfortable and the length is great. I've worn these several times and they come out of the wash like new. Would definitely get another pair.

    I think these pants are meant to fit a very specific body type. This rise is not suitable for womxn that have “shape.”

    The material is a very soft material. Its more like a jogging material, not my favorite, because despite it's comfort and softness it does not hide any of my figure. I love the higher rise in the back, but in the front because of the tight and thin material, my belly was very exposed and wasn't hidden at all. I feel very self conscious when I wear them, especially in the unusual gray, slate, color. When I sit down there is no gapping, which is great. I had to cut out the tag because it was held on with a thick plastic and dug into my back. I absolutely love the pockets. They are huge! I've never had a pair of women's pants with real sized pockets, it's great! They seem to be very durable and allow for ample movement.

    This Layton Jean is a great jean. It was ab above my expectations. The "big pockets" are a total stand-out and wonderful addition to a women's jean. We appreciate that. It also has the perfect amount of stretch and comfortable fit overall. I ordered all four swatches, however I did have to return the "slate-grey" color as the back pockets are cut wide/big as the others. I friend of mine experienced the same thing, so maybe it's a sewing issue. I hope to see that issue fixed because I look forward to purchasing more in the future. Carhartt please seep this style. It's a winner!!!

    These jeans hold their shape incredibly. I wore mine for about a week accumulatively and they still fit fine. All other jeans I've owned, even "high end" ones are stretched out after 2 wearings, max. I bought two pairs at a local store and now that I know what size to get I will be ordering more. I chose the "runs small" option because these are somewhat tighter skinny jeans (which I like) but some may want to go one size up. Also, they have full-size pockets. These are the only jeans I will purchase from now on.

    There's a lot to like about these jeans-- high enough waist but not too high, substantial fabric, nice dark wash, DEEP POCKETS (thank you Carhartt), options for length. Fit is good, not perfect. In my usual size 8, they were a bit tighter than I'd like in the calves (not generally a problem for me) and a little loose in the waist. When I tried the size up for looser legs the waist was way too big, and the size down fit in the waist but legs were super tight. If the fit could be tweaked just a little, these would be perfect-- as it is they're very good, but I do have to periodically tug up the waist, and I'm aware of the tightness on my lower legs, which I'm hoping might loosen up over time. Love love love the pockets you can actually put things in.

    They are a comfortable fit with a good stretch. The only issue I had with them is they run long and I am short so they bunched at the ankles.

    I bought these jeans because they were comfortable, had large pockets and looked nice. I wear jeans almost every day for work and needed something that would hold up to the wear and tear and could hold things like my phone, wallet and keys without fear of them slipping out. The pockets did hold up, however the pants did not. Approximately one year after purchase they ripped between the thighs when I put them on. The hole was the size of my fist and not something I wanted to patch as the whole point of these jeans is that they're durable without being tacky. I wish I took a picture but I was so annoyed about it I immediately just tried to cut the legs off to make shorts in the hopes it wasn't a total loss. 1 star for durability obviously but 2 stars for the quality and functionality purely because these pants have legitimate pockets, unlike almost all women's jeans.

    Love the look and the fit from the knees up but the calfs are super tight. I have athletic calves (runner) but not “kankles.” They would be perfect if the calfs were just a tad looser.

    Really nice jeans but so narrow at the ankle that they look more like leggings than jeans, which is a look I wasn't going for. Nevertheless I am keeping them because the overall fit is great.

    Great Jean for all kinds of work . I tried them in a gray denim, I give them a 4 for appearance since I felt the front pockets tend to show a little bunching. I also feel they are a little too skinny on the lower half from the knee down. I usually wear a 4-6 but tried these in an 8 so I feel they run small. Pockets are nice and large, I would like to see a knife pocket on them. They have great give for flexibility for climbing up and down on equipment or fences. They will be a great jean for moving quickly and climbing into the saddle . Good coverage on the back side.

    I really wanted to love these jeans. They felt good pulling them on and exactly like descriIbed for holding their shape. Im not sure if these pants run small, or I just have not bought new jeans in quite some time but I ordered my usual size, and could not button them-not even close! I reccomend sizing up-unfortunately they were out of stock when i went back to check :(

    I love these Skinny Jeans but I'm a shorty so I have to cuff them. I wish you would offer a SHORT option like you do for other jeans and like you do these in Tall. Other than that, no complaints. A little stretch but still heavy duty denim that holds up.

    I have been on a lifelong quest for jeans that actually fit, have real pockets, that have some stretch but not too much, and that don’t fall down. I’m pretty heartbroken that skinny jeans are apparently no longer cool but it’s not stopping me ha! I will def be back for more of these jeans! And happy to support Carhartt ??

    Ok so I am 6ft and weigh around 130! I ordered the 2tall. They're a little tight around my knees and waist and they go to right above my ankle bone! I was worried to get a 4 because I was told they ran big! This was my first time buying! For a 6hr shift at work awesome. I will not wear them for any longer though!

    I ordered a size 14 based on the size suggested by the True Fit widget, which usually works for me. I could get them on and buttoned, but they were a but too snug. They seemed durable and comfortable otherwise, so I exchanged them for a 16. Those arrived and it was like they were a totally different cut. The rise was lower and I couldn't even get them buttoned. There are a few other reviewers who've had a similar issue, so it's clearly not a one-off. I guess it's great that they offer free shipping and returns, so if you want to gamble on actually getting a pair that fits, I say go for it. I'm just bummed I'm not going to be enjoying any Carhartt jeans. I was really looking forward to these.

    I was unsure about how Carhartt would do developing skinny jeans because it seems like a pretty new territory for them, but I was very pleasantly surprised! Typically my best-fitting skinny jeans are cheaply made, mostly with spandex, which causes them to not last very long. These pants had the stretchy, body-hugging quality that I love, but obviously are made with much stronger material and feel like they will last a lot longer. They are incredibly flexible but didn't stretch out and sag like most stretchy skinny jeans. I wore them about 5 times before even washing them to see if they would stretch or sag and even after the 5th wear, they were still a snug fit! My favorite thing about these pants are the deep pockets! The pockets in typical women's clothing are truly pathetic and worthless if you are actually trying to fit anything in there. I was very happy to see Carhartt realize that men aren't the only ones who want to actually use their pants pockets! It took me a little while to get used to the mid-front rise. I am used to wearing pants that are more low-rise and sit lower on the hips, but I actually grew to like this cut and found it more flattering with certain outfits. I tend to hold weight around my middle and it's the area of my body that I am most self-conscious about and I feel like these pants really worked in my favor for that.

    These are the jeans I’ve been looking for my whole life. I’m a farmer, I need jeans that can withstand the wear and tear and horseback riding of farm life. Jeans usually last a few months for me, and then when I swing a leg over a horse I hear that familiar sound as the crotch rips open. I’m also not a model, I have a butt. These jeans are made for real people. Instead of just making them super stretchy to compensate for an unrealistically shaped jean, these jeans are made for the real hard-working women that make this world tick. Butts, hips, thighs and all. They’re reasonably priced. I didn’t have to spend exorbitant amounts of money on stretchy, flimsy women’s jeans that wear out in a few months. I don’t have to subject myself to the uncomfortableness of wearing durable men’s jeans. And the fitting guide on the website is so helpful! Ladies, this is the way to go. Seriously.

    As someone who has over a dozen Jean's, I always reach for the Slim-fit Layton Skinny Legs. That says it all.

    These Jean's are my favorite. They fit very nicely on the hips. The material is sturdy, and yet comfortable. They have a nice slender look, without squeezing your legs too tightly.

    Not bad for the price, but the material feels cheap and is easy to get caught and torn. Otherwise comfortable, but really they're a stretchy pair of skinny jeans with the brand being the only outstanding part of them.

The Sundried color was 2" longer and overall bigger than the Midnight Sky color of the same size. I'm 5'4 and about 140 lbs. The Midnight Sky fit perfectly. The Sundried are too long and a little big around the waist and hips. Other than a few trips to the store to figure out the sizing, I love these jeans.

    These pants fit comfortably, don't sag or stretch too much, and the material seems very durable thus far. I love them so much, I have bought three pairs! They are strong enough to work around my property in and nice enough that I can wear them in business settings. I only wish there were more colors offered - I would love to have these in an olive or moss color. 5'6", 135 lb, size 4 if you are trying to gauge your size.

    Overall I liked the jeans, I field tested these jeans and the feel, look, and material are fantastic. I just didn't like the color at all. I field tested the gray and I wasn't a fan.

    Got 2 pair, sundried and onyx both fit true to size. The calves are just a little tight but stretch during wear. Going to order the gray as well. Looks good with sandals and ankle boots.

    I am 5'2", 140 lbs, with a boxy waist and slim thighs. These jeans both hug my thighs in a flattering way AND do not give me muffin top! How long have a looked for jeans that fit my slim thighs, boxy waist, AND have real pockets! These are very flattering, great color, and look very durable. I was worried that these jeans might be too long and they don't carry them in short sizes, but they somehow fit perfectly. I feel like if they did have a short size they would be too short. I will ONLY buy these jeans. LOVE them.

    A great "normal" pair of jeans, especially if you want a normal pair of jeans that don't feel like they're going to wear out in a few months. Even has real pocket depth! Fits snugly than I expected for sure - photo on model is accurate of how they will fit. Sometimes carhartt runs big, but these pants surprisingly fit me extremely well. Definitely not the quality of dungarees, but I don't think they were meant to be in the first place.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit and quality of these are terrific, except the length of tall size! Most of Carhart tall women's jeans, have 34" inseam. I'm confused as to why these are only 32" inseam. I love the fit and comfort these offer, but can only wear them tucked in taller boots. I'm 5'8" and 110 lbs, so size 2 Tall fit's very well, except the 32" inseam. They aren't skin tight, leaving room for any chores or activities. Please Carhart, make these 34" inseam also!

    Not sure what I think yet, but so far, so good.

    So far, they fit well and don't seem to stretch too much with each wear, which is great. But they aren't made with as much cotton as I expected, and I'm nervous the material will still fray too quickly in the inner thigh because of this.There's really no way to tell how durable they are until I've had them for a long time.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these jeans so much I had to get two pairs (in different colors) They fit snug all the way to the ankle, as someone who is only 5’ that’s great especially in a work grade skinny jean. Unlike almost every other pair of jeans I’ve ever owned these are made of quality denim and after wearing them constantly I haven’t worn through the thighs of them like I do with all my other skinny jeans

    Ive never worn skinny jeans until now. They were comfortable, but super snug. I think these would look great on those with slim legs as mine felt like sausages as I have muscular calves and I felt the jeans really emphasized that as if I was wearing leggings. The color was nice, good amount of stretch and they washed well. The jeans and very lightweight.

    After reading the previous reviews, I ordered these jeans a size up from what I normally would. I was disappointed to find that even with the larger size, the jeans were no where near close to fitting. I this point I've simply returned them because I'm not sure what size to order moving forward. Additionally, the calf area was much tighter than I'm comfortable with as other reviews had stated.

    Love the fit of these jeans! The only thing is, the button broke one of the first times I bent over in them (no, they're not too tight, just stretched when I bent down). So far, super glue is keeping the button intact and I wear them every week!

    I love these jeans! I'm tall so was happy with the 32" inseam. For reference I'm 5'7", 112 lbs, waist 27". I got the size 4 and they fit like a glove. A little too much so. They could be a little looser at the bottom. However, I'm going to order another pair because the quality is great, the demin is heavy and they are long enough! The sundried is a beautiful wash. In addition, they did not shrink after washing....nor do they stretch after wearing.
