      LOVED it! I traipsed all around London in this jacket. When I became too warm in it, it folds up nicely into a backpack. It's lightweight, but definitely keeps rain and drizzle away from your clothes and skin.

      As with so many of the Carhartt women's sizes, this jacket tends to run on the small size, so an XL just barely fits, yet if I went up a size, it would swim. Compared with other XL jackets I have from other good brand name companies, it runs small. So when it says cut looser, or plus, it just ain't so.

      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the coat, opened the bag and attempted to try it on. The zipper caught two times on the inside fabric. Was able to get it up/down one time and then it jammed again. Going back to Carhartt.com. What has happened to quality??? :(

      Being a dog owner, I needed a rain jacket for those days when it's raining and I still need to walk the dog. I found this one that received really good reviews and ordered. Carhartt quality is known at our house so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. This is a nice jacket and it fits well. I have received many compliments on it because it is such a nice jacket. It has 2 side pockets, 1 small front pocket and an inside pocket. You can cinch in the waist and it has a hood. Looking forward to wearing this for a long time. The only suggestion I would make is to offer it in more colors.

      Love everything about this coat except the sleeves are very short. I don’t have long arms, most long sleeved clothing is too long for my arms and I end up rolling the cuff over. Coat is very well made and keeps me nice and dry in all of the PNW rain! :) If the sleeves had been longer would have really loved it!

      Full disclosure: I did return this jacket as I ordered the wrong size, so look to other reviews for a more accurate Durability rating. However, for the few hours that I had it and tried it on, it was comfortable, lightweight, and had good sized and placed pockets.

      The most recent purchase was an XS that my husband ordered, I love the look. Not a lot of room for layering but some. Looks & feels great for cool weather & rain. I also have Med. It fits loose, but looks good & can wear several layers. Enjoy them both!!

      I really like this jacket but not crazy about the material. It seems to picks up every cat hair, every piece of lint and I have been wishing it was different material. Also seems impossible to roll off with a lint remover. Its weird.

      I was very disappointed in this jacket. I thought I was buying a quality rain jacket and the first time I got to wear it in the rain I came home soaked. I can't believe that Carhartt would sell a rain jacket that doesn't keep you dry.

      I absolutely love my rain defender. So well made, love the length, pretty true to size ( bought an xl for my wide shoulders perfect), the feel of the material not plastic and it rained and I did not get wet. Called a friend told her about it and she ordered one in red and she is excited about hers. So great job Carhartt!!!!

      Reviews said it ran small so I ordered a size larger and wish I would not have done that but I love the look and feel of the jacket. I was hoping to find something less expensive but this is worth - you get what you pay for.

      This is my first Carhartt purchase for myself and I absolutely love this coat. It is lightweight and so comfortable. I like the longer fit of this coat as well. I wear it everyday! True to size.
