I had to return mine the zipper was not working didn't even get to use it once. Very disappointed in this carhartt.

Seems like a warm and well made jacket but the reason I’m rating this 2 stars is due to the sizing/fit. I ordered both the xl and xl tall based on the size chart to determine which would be a better fit for me. The xl tall seemed huge on me even if you were to add a few layers underneath. The xl regular felt like the arms were too short. It’s as if this jacket would be a better fit for someone short and stocky. If it helps anyone I’m 6’2, 220lbs. Arms are a 34/35 length in a dress shirt.

Looks good, but returning it. I'm 5.7 and 160lbs. Medium is waaay too big (body, not length), despite my chest/waist measurements says a Medium would work. Even concerned that small will be too big, because i doubt it will have a significant difference. This medium jacket is way bigger than size Large jackats that I have from other brands.

Great look and fit and of course the best quality on the market. Sleeves are a little long I’m 5’9” 200lbs and bought an XL and sleeves are past my wrists so not ideal but will help when it’s winter.

Really nice evolution of this jacket. Fit is true. Improvements include reduced weight, much improved neck and hood coverage. Warm, durable. Great ‘murdered out’ black styling-it’s a really good looking piece. Next iteration- add a slight peak visor to the hood, like arcteryx, with a hood cord in back of the head, so you can cinch the hood tighter. Great job.

Very warm and comfortable. The elastic on the waist and sleeves really helps trap the heat in. With my old winter coat I used to have to double layer to stay warm, now I can just throw on my coat and go.

Definitely one of the warmest jackets that I own. It just came in a few days ago when the weather was in the single digits and it does the job, especially with another layer underneath. Surprisingly warm for how light of a jacket it is! Thoroughly impressed with it so far. I should have probably ordered a Large instead of a Medium as it would allow for more layering without losing comfort. Still very happy with my purchase though!!! Would highly recommend.

Size Large - Tall fit me perfectly at 6'4" 220lbs. Adding another interior pocket would be a great improvement.

Great warm work jacket. Only complaint is that the fabric is a little noisy.

Not as warm as advertised the two front pockets are shallow. not very deep, but am not working in the jacket i guess i will find out when i shovel this winter. other than that i like the jacket.

Very nice coat, warm and toasty plus fits well. Decent enough pockets space with one on the inside left breast and one on the outside left breast. I like to put my pistol in the inside one and cigarettes on the outside! God bless America! ????

I bought this jacket for a recent overlanding trip to the Mojave desert. There were extreme temperatures hot, cold, icy and rough landscape. Dust, abrasive bushes, abrasive cave rocks, boulders, cacti and I needed a jacket that would keep me warm and protected as thorn bushes and cacti are everywhere. This jacket kept me warm and protected, I didn't worry any ripping would occur or that I'd have insulation leaking when tending a bonfire. An added bonus was people asked about it and complimented me on it . This is now my favorite jacket hands down. It's tough, warm, stylish and don't have to baby it like my other patagonia and nf jackets which I can't wear nesr bonfires or bushes since they will rip and leak insulation. This really made me reconsider owning those anymore.

I have two Yukon extremes jackets, one, a 3xl for the really cold days, but it fits more like a 4xl short. It was the hoodless version. I bought this one, in 2xl tall. It fits like a normal jacket and it's really "balloon" like. My carhart sweatshirt which is a 2xl tall, is like 6" longer than the jacket. When zipped completely up if you have a bigger neck. Good luck breathing. My wife who normally wears small carhart could zip it up and have a few more inches of room. Not me, it is right up against your neck zipped up. I remember a time when carhart meant you had a good jacket. Apparently the r and d department doesn't have good funding.

It does keep you warm. The attached hood is a nice touch. Not the biggest fan of the material and the noise it makes. The elastic waist band tends to ride up when you sit down or bend over. And the outside pockets are a bit too high.

So far so good. Hasn't been terribly cold yet so I can't rate this jacket in extreme conditions. One day of blowing snow and a few windy, cold, days. I really like this jacket. At first fit it feels tight but after a few minutes it feels like it loosens up a bit and is not tight at all. Easy to move around and work in. This is not a hunting jacket, I saw some reviews about the noise the material makes. Again, this is not a hunting jacket. It is thinner than my other winter jacket but still warm and keeps the wind out. I bought one size down, typical for me with Carhartt. You won't be disappointed with this jacket.

Great jacket, great insulation, wish the inside sleeves had a more fabric-y feel as when you work up a sweat, it sticks to your arms like a plastic raincoat. Also, I wish the inside breast pockets opened at the top instead of the side so I could drop my phone in instead of unzipping the side and rezipping. The stomach hand warming pockets could also be deeper for big hands like myself. I got a XXL thinking the pockets would also increase in size for my monster hands, but currently my palms and wrists are exposed to the cold when I tuck them into the pockets. All the nitpicking aside, this is a great jacket.

Everything I was told about this coat is true. If you are wanting to stay warm, you must buy this coat. Keeps me warm, and dry.

Very warm and comfortable. Fits well, usually wear. XXL but XL fits perfect. however very disappointed jacket seams Leak in light rain. My t-shirt was soaked across the horizontal back seam. Now i will have to wait for interior insulation to dry out before I can wear again.. bummer cause we are expecting below 10f shortly
