    Seems like a warm and well made jacket but the reason I’m rating this 2 stars is due to the sizing/fit. I ordered both the xl and xl tall based on the size chart to determine which would be a better fit for me. The xl tall seemed huge on me even if you were to add a few layers underneath. The xl regular felt like the arms were too short. It’s as if this jacket would be a better fit for someone short and stocky. If it helps anyone I’m 6’2, 220lbs. Arms are a 34/35 length in a dress shirt.

    Looks good, but returning it. I'm 5.7 and 160lbs. Medium is waaay too big (body, not length), despite my chest/waist measurements says a Medium would work. Even concerned that small will be too big, because i doubt it will have a significant difference. This medium jacket is way bigger than size Large jackats that I have from other brands.

    Great look and fit and of course the best quality on the market. Sleeves are a little long I’m 5’9” 200lbs and bought an XL and sleeves are past my wrists so not ideal but will help when it’s winter.

    Really nice evolution of this jacket. Fit is true. Improvements include reduced weight, much improved neck and hood coverage. Warm, durable. Great ‘murdered out’ black styling-it’s a really good looking piece. Next iteration- add a slight peak visor to the hood, like arcteryx, with a hood cord in back of the head, so you can cinch the hood tighter. Great job.

    Very warm and comfortable. The elastic on the waist and sleeves really helps trap the heat in. With my old winter coat I used to have to double layer to stay warm, now I can just throw on my coat and go.

    Definitely one of the warmest jackets that I own. It just came in a few days ago when the weather was in the single digits and it does the job, especially with another layer underneath. Surprisingly warm for how light of a jacket it is! Thoroughly impressed with it so far. I should have probably ordered a Large instead of a Medium as it would allow for more layering without losing comfort. Still very happy with my purchase though!!! Would highly recommend.

    I bought this jacket for a recent overlanding trip to the Mojave desert. There were extreme temperatures hot, cold, icy and rough landscape. Dust, abrasive bushes, abrasive cave rocks, boulders, cacti and I needed a jacket that would keep me warm and protected as thorn bushes and cacti are everywhere. This jacket kept me warm and protected, I didn't worry any ripping would occur or that I'd have insulation leaking when tending a bonfire. An added bonus was people asked about it and complimented me on it . This is now my favorite jacket hands down. It's tough, warm, stylish and don't have to baby it like my other patagonia and nf jackets which I can't wear nesr bonfires or bushes since they will rip and leak insulation. This really made me reconsider owning those anymore.

    I have two Yukon extremes jackets, one, a 3xl for the really cold days, but it fits more like a 4xl short. It was the hoodless version. I bought this one, in 2xl tall. It fits like a normal jacket and it's really "balloon" like. My carhart sweatshirt which is a 2xl tall, is like 6" longer than the jacket. When zipped completely up if you have a bigger neck. Good luck breathing. My wife who normally wears small carhart could zip it up and have a few more inches of room. Not me, it is right up against your neck zipped up. I remember a time when carhart meant you had a good jacket. Apparently the r and d department doesn't have good funding.

    It does keep you warm. The attached hood is a nice touch. Not the biggest fan of the material and the noise it makes. The elastic waist band tends to ride up when you sit down or bend over. And the outside pockets are a bit too high.

    So far so good. Hasn't been terribly cold yet so I can't rate this jacket in extreme conditions. One day of blowing snow and a few windy, cold, days. I really like this jacket. At first fit it feels tight but after a few minutes it feels like it loosens up a bit and is not tight at all. Easy to move around and work in. This is not a hunting jacket, I saw some reviews about the noise the material makes. Again, this is not a hunting jacket. It is thinner than my other winter jacket but still warm and keeps the wind out. I bought one size down, typical for me with Carhartt. You won't be disappointed with this jacket.

    Great jacket, great insulation, wish the inside sleeves had a more fabric-y feel as when you work up a sweat, it sticks to your arms like a plastic raincoat. Also, I wish the inside breast pockets opened at the top instead of the side so I could drop my phone in instead of unzipping the side and rezipping. The stomach hand warming pockets could also be deeper for big hands like myself. I got a XXL thinking the pockets would also increase in size for my monster hands, but currently my palms and wrists are exposed to the cold when I tuck them into the pockets. All the nitpicking aside, this is a great jacket.

    Very warm and comfortable. Fits well, usually wear. XXL but XL fits perfect. however very disappointed jacket seams Leak in light rain. My t-shirt was soaked across the horizontal back seam. Now i will have to wait for interior insulation to dry out before I can wear again.. bummer cause we are expecting below 10f shortly

    I LOVE THIS JACKET!! Moved from a warm climate to snow/ice and a bone chilling wind. Purchased TOO MANY jackets that left me still freezing and uncomfortable even with multiple layers. My husband bought this jacket. I "borrowed" it and was hooked! HE insisted i get my own so HE purchased me a smaller one and I could not be happier! ;) Comfortable, warm, fits perfect, and with the loose cut I am able to still layer and move around freely. The other Carhart womens jackets were not nearly as comfortable or warm. Good quality jackets but not enough for my needs. **Last statement just one girls opinion. I should have just gone with this one to begin with! Worth every penny! A++ rating!

    I really dislike this jacket and wish I could return it after 1-2 weeks of use. The pockets are too small and pointless, the jacket is very loud and the jacket constantly rides up on you making you have to pull it down over and over. Very disappointed and wish I could replace it with a storm defender or something with more length and comfortably.

    Simply the best Carhartt jacket I’ve ever owned! This isn’t bulky like the others, it has plenty of pockets, and it is just like the label... EXTREMELY WARM! I can’t recommend this jacket and the matching bibs enough.

    Love this jacket, enough that I bought the bibs. My only issue is that the back side tends to ride up. Picture says the model is 6'2" in a medium, I'm 5'8" so I got a medium and it rides.

    I am 6' 196 pounds with a good build. I have long arms and usually buy shirts 36/37 sleave length. This jacket is as good as a custom fitted one. Complements come in from every direction. Spent almost 4 hours out in 17 F degree weather last week. While the cold got to my legs, my core and arms were just fine. Oh! I have poor circulation in my arms and so keeping them warm was always difficult until I got this "joy of a jacket (JOJ)". Hard to suggest how to offer an improvement. Perhaps a 2-way main zipper. A 2-way would permit opening the jacket from the zipper bottom to make accessing and siting in a vehicle easier without fully opening the jacket and losing all that valuable heat the jacket has conserved. Equally when leaving a vehicle, a 2-way only takes one hand to pull the bottom zipper down and re-establish that protective shell.

    This is a well made jacket with great materials for cold wet weather . I am 5'6" with 40" chest and purchased a Medium . The cut is restrictive across the shoulders, and I am not able to layer up and work comfortably. Wish it had the Full Swing cut.

    Iam a delivery driver so iam constantly bending, lifting, climbing and dogs jumping on me this jacket is perfect it is super durable, my range of movement is not restricted at all, very warm so I dont have to wear alot of layers and It's water resistants is perfect for the snow. Carhartt listens to their customers and are always improveing my last carhartt coat I wore for almost ten years frist thing to wear out was were the knitted cuff meets the coat material on that seam I know several people with same issue THEY HAVE FIXED THIS ISSUE ON THIS JACKET the knitted cuff is recessed back in the sleeve and the more durable Cordura comes over that seam to protect it this jacket is Perfection

Fit great other than the back always rides up way to much while bending over. Definitely wish it was longer in the back or else it would be a five star. Returning it now for something with a different backside.

    I'm 6'3" and this in a Large Tall fit great! Arm length is spot on for me, the cuffs are a nice touch. Waist band keeps out the draft and just fits my 31" waist. Should be great for anyone with a bigger waist. The durability /quality is great so far, but time will tell if its truly 5 star worthy. Highly recommend.

    The fit is great, I like all the pockets and the zippered one for a cell phone. Also the neck is protected by the high collar. Warm? I was out snowb-lowing the day after I received it (temp was 15 degrees) and I was in a heated tractor cab and had to turn off the heater. The jacket was warm in the open air, too. Very comfortable all around.

    The jacket is nice but the hood does not flatten out on your back. The hood just like the photo shows rests above your hairline when not in use. I would like to see bigger pockets to store a wool cap and gloves. I worry that I'm might lose the hat and gloves. The jacket is very warm.

    I replaced my old jacket with this new jacket, and it is amazingly warm and comfortable. Great fit and great warmth. Even in single digits and high winds, the jacket was perfect for working under very adverse conditions. I can't imagine a better jacket for working in the bitter cold and windchill weather.

    Much better jacket than old canvas. The nylon is not only windproof but water and snow repellent. Warm enough for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. So good I bought a second one because I'm sure somebody will get the idea to change a good thing.

    Incredibly warm jacket!! Got the Carhartt hi-vis lined hoodie before this, which is nice, but this thing is just what you need for those sub 50? degree mornings! I'm 6'2", 210lbs and got the Large/Tall size and it fits perfect! Only wish they had this with the 3M reflected strips too and I'd buy another one.

    Great jacket! Super warm and comfortable! My only complaint is that even if you get your size, theres a lot of room inside the jacket which ends up creating a bubble - not idea if you like your jackets more snug.

    I love this jacket. Warm. Totally rain and wind proof with lots of useful pockets. My only quip is that I'm 5'9, about 170lbs, and n measurements put me between a small and medium. I went small so as not to swim in the sleeves and I love the look of it, but I feel a little tight in the shoulders and if I raise my arm to head level, I then also have to pull the ribbed cuff back down over my belt. It's almost too true to size. I wonder if I should've gone with the medium, or if that would be too big. The model was 6'2" in a medium, so I was dissuaded.

    Warm almost hot in 0 degree and colder weather. I can wear 3-4 hrs. snow blowing without knowing its cold. The waist seems to rise up a little while working. The nose and mouth part when zipped up on the collar can be a little higher. Jacket size Medium. Id also like to see zipper closure in the pockets. Overall, Great work/casual jacket!

    Fits funny. Bulky feeling in the front and very short feeling in the back. Also the neck gets super tight when you try to zip the coat all the way up. Feels like I’m getting choked out. It is warm though.

    This jacket isn’t meant for anything below 32*.... Unless you are hauling wood or doing some hard work all day while wearing it. If you want this jacket for ice fishing or light duty when it’s below freezing, but a different jacket. Super disappointed when I bought it thinking it would be a warm winter jacket. Especially when Carhartt says “it’s the warmest jacket we make!” Paper thin. More like a tough windbreaker - spring - fall jacket. Bought a different brand instead since Carhartt isn’t what it used to be anymore.

    Had this jacket been not a bomber one but had a length of Yukon full swing isolated jacket it would be flying off the shelves. Otherwise fantastic cool look and excellent construction.

    Am very sad to say I have to return this jacket. The design and quality was exactly what I was looking for. It was bought specifically for fall/winter use in Pennsylvania and it is simply not insulated enough for cold weather below 40 degrees, even with 3 layers worn underneath. I would consider this a good weather resistant wind breaker but if you're looking to stay warm in cold temperatures and are of average/thin build, this jacket is probably not for you.

    I got my new jacket before our below zero week in Minnesota. My first time wearing it out I actually thought below 26 degrees an it is only that outside of my jacket. I then got a warm up and I can't wait to wear it again. Very warm and comfortable.

    The good: It looks cool. I like carharrt's masculine style and this jacket represents that. It is made out of material that looks like it will last a decade. So many other name brand jackets cost far more and feel cheap. This one does not. The Bad: While it made be made well, the jacket's shell is abrasive and thick; it is heavy and not something I would want to touch my skin. This coat is being advertised as a winter option. The models are shoveling snow in a blizzard. This jacket will not protect you in temps anywhere close to zero. I just wore it outside in Iowa during Fall, and a crisp 30 degrees was a little too much for this jacket to handle. The interior was cool to the touch. There is not enough insulation in this to expect to wear it as a winter coat without layering. The parka is far more insulated and more appropriate for winter.

    The coat as a whole is great. However, the bottom part bunches up. I have to keep pulling the bottom part down. Didn’t see that when I was looking at the pictures. Buyer beware of this. I’m totally still using this coat, but should of looked closer.

    Was on this one or the Milwaukee heated jacket; my theory is say you forgot a battery or simply forgot to charge that Milwaukee is not built to keep you warm; this jacket exceeded my expectations, so happy I decided to go for it; working in 15 degree weather I barely feel a thing! Fits exactly how I like a jacket to fit, plenty of movement! Worth every penny (:

    Bought this for my partner and he LOVES IT! He is 6'2" and weighs between 220-250lbs, fits him extremely well. If you usually buy XL Tall, I'd recommend buying the Large Tall. Some of the previous comments say they were too big etc so I'd definitely get the L Tall. The quality is fantastic and may last him the rest of his life if it's well taken care of.

    The coat is excellent in all ways. The only thing I wish was a smaller size down. Carhartt is generous with sizing. Too often I have found that there are too many size differences. You will find classic, loose, slim, regular, slope cuts just to name a few. I didn’t want to send it back so I purchased a size larger. How much better in enjoyment would have been nice. But the quality is excellent. Now I know why Carhartt has a very loyal following. Thank you for still believing in quality workmanship.

    Nice jacket but hardly a Yukon Extreme. First, no zippers on pockets, thus my keys got soaked. Carhartt needs to spend a minute on designing a hood that actually moves when you turn your head. This is a good jacket for normal cold weather but it is stiff, loud, and not as much of a loose fit that you normally get from Carhartt. Nice piece but not what you would expect from a Carhartt with the tag of Yukon Extreme. Missed the mark for me and I have all things Carhartt.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 6ft 180 lbs w/ barrel chest > Medium fits perfectly. Feels sturdy and tough, pleasing sharp astetics, and finally a black Carhartt coat that is not a lint magnet. This coat does not run as big in the stomach, as the other active jackets (best fit). Finally found a good looking active jacket. Now Carhartt needs to make a slimmer style for the rest. The zipper is decent size, unlike like their new full-swing active jacket (super small). This jacket left a good first impression. Will update if needed.

    Love this jacket. I technically needed a medium but like the additional bagginess of Large. Keeps me very warm with minimal layers underneath when it's freezing out, but it's also not super thick/uncomfortable when it's slightly warmer. Great quality.

    I’m 6’3” 300lbs and usually a 3XL Tall fits me in all other Carhartt jackets but this one I ordered 3XL Tall was pretty snug even though it says it’s loose and the hoodie seemed to be pretty tight around the neck area. I was very disappointed so I returned the jacket. Wonder thy Carhartt can’t keep true to size.

    I've had this jacket for 1 year and I am still blown away at the level of warmth it provides. I wear it to work with just a t shirt and a scrub top. I walk 10 minutes and on the coldest of nights I am actually sweating by the time I walk into work. I wish it came in other colors so I could get a second jacket. It's an amazing bang for the buck purchase.

    TLDR: Super warm, practically windproof, and basically bombproof Long version: extremely warm, it frequently reaches -40c in winter and this jacket kept up with ease, the shell is practically windproof which is excellent when working in an open cab forklift or out in the yard where there is no wind cover. Important thing to know is that if you don't quite fill the jacket in without a sweater you will probably get some cold air running down your back (in -40 you should have a sweater on anyways, and this jacket gives you the space for it). In terms of durability I don't wanna know what will tear this thing because I had a sheared bolt run half the length of the jacket and down into my overalls, put a hole through duck overalls like they weren't even there but didn't leave a mark on the jacket., not to mention dozens of snags on utility fencing and chicken wire that didn't leave a mark. Overall build quality is excellent, very few loose stitches and excellent zippers (especially the main zipper with its pull string), Only thing I wish it improved on would be having an anodized instead of painted main zipper.

    Love it but wish it had snap buttons , quicker closure on the go and a option in freezing temps if the zipper were to fail. Also the bottom skirt of the coat needs a draw string it’s drafty unless you have bibs on underneath

    I like the jacket a lot, it kept me warm and toasty during our latest snow storm, I ordered the "Tall " jacket and it fits well and roomy without being baggy. A minor criticism, I wish you could unzip the hood, otherwise its a great jacket.

    Super is broken in less than 2 years.

    For the most part I'd like to the coat. It was very warm and the material it is made out of is very tough. However, this is only my second winter with it and the zipper is already broken. I would not recommend this coat. It is difficult to find someone to repair or replace zippers. This one needs to be replaced.

    For the most part, the jacket was amazing, but I couldn't use it because the neck is too small in comparison to the body. And it sure is noisy.

    I bought this jacket for my nephew who works outdoor's in 20 degree weather. He said the Yukon Extrene jacket is light weight, comfortable and keeps him warm. In fact he plans to wear it the next time he goes snow skiing.
