    I feel like a local. New to PNW this jacket fits to the needs of this weather. I'm a shorter person so I had the sleeves shortened slightly but I felt that small investment was worth the longevity I will have with this jacket.

    Very warm. Really needs to be in the 30's or colder to wear it. Does a good job of blocking the wind, I even wore in on a motorcycle ride in the mid 40's (temp) and a little wind got thru but I was surprised how well it worked going 45 mph on a quick errand. Nice jacket, good weight to it, seems very well built and I feel like it should last me a long time. Great bang for the buck.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this jacket for work (Hunting Guide) due to the fact that it is not only green, but has a nice dark sherpa that won't stand out in the woods. The fit and warmth are great! The only thing to know before you buy that is different from advertised is the front pockets ARE NOT sherpa lined! The front pockets do have a warm cloth lining (not sure what the material is called), but it is not sherpa. The main reason I mention it is that was a big reason I bought it, for the winter months. The pockets are warm, just not sherpa. The rating is 5 stars because the jacket is awesome! It's just an advertising discrepancy...can't say enough good about Carhartt! Love Carhartt!

    This is my first Carhartt Jacket, my girlfriend bought it for me after I picked it out and I'm glad I decided on this one. It's warm and very cozy. It is a little heavy looking so if you want a better fit maybe you get a size down but if you want the extra warmth get your correct size. This jacket will keep you warm. I'm in the South but this jacket is great for the Winter regardless of where you live. Must buy if you want to be warm and cozy while outside for whatever reason.

    I have the "old" version of this, with the snap on hood. It is my absolute favorite piece of clothing. It has a great feel to it, incredibly warm and plenty of pockets. I look forward to colder weather, just so I can wear this jacket. It is like an old friend. Feels great every time I put it on! The pockets on mine are sherpa lined too. Not sure about this newer version, but that is a GREAT feature!!

    I've always wanted one! I did not work in the Construction Trades, but waited on many as a Pharmacist. Always had great respect for them over the years. Once I retired and decided to move back to my home state of Colorado, the choice of a jacket was a cinch. It fit's well, constructed well, and so far this fall has kept me way to warm....but I am sure it will be used many times this winter and future ones.

    I chose to go down a size, to a Large Tall. I’m 6’2” and 215 lbs and this was the right choice. It’s warm, comfortable, moves with you, and did I mention it’s warm? I really like the durability of these jackets, and it won’t be my last, for sure.

    good quality and plenty warm. keep in mind the sizing as they run a bit bigger and washing wont shrink them any. Zipper is a bit of a goofy design to get started so if you struggle with finger issues id try something else

    I do not say this lightly, when I say that I have put this jacket through the ringer. I purchased this jacket about 8 years ago and it is still going strong! I have put this jacket to the test on my families cattle ranch. I have worked cattle, moved cattle, and roped a few heads of cattle with this jacket on. That being said, of course there is a little wear. The duck canvas where the cuffs are, have a few threads hanging down. I recently trimmed them, and honestly, you cannot tell that the coat has any "damage." If I were to say something bad about this coat, I would say that it is not a warm as you would think. That is of course until you actually work in the coat. Once you start working, you will find it hard to leave on. It also is not good with the wind... So if it is a cold windy day, I suggest some jumping jacks. Love this coat!!

    Everything on the jacket is fine but for reasons I just can’t imagine, they filled the Sherpa jackets front pockets with this God awful material. It’s itchy, uncomfortable and doesn’t make you want to use the front pockets. Literally worst material ever

    I had the previous version of this exact jacket. The interior lining feels thinner/lighter. With this previous version, I survived being on the side of a building in -40C (this was not the only warm equipment I had but it was integral). I completed a 10 hour work day in this extreme environment. I don't feel as confident that the insulation is as 'good'. That being said, this is a comfortably warm jacket for me in the scenarios that have been asked of it so far (0C). Sturdy metal zipper, the front pocket can hold my cell+case (plastic zipper). I am not used to the zip-interior pocket yet; the mouth seem smaller than the previous design. My last jacket lasted more than 13years and I would still have it if it wasn't stolen. I hope to have this jacket as long. Thank you for providing a quality product.

    I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs. The medium fits perfect. The moss colorway is very cool and it's a just a nice heavy jacket that will make working outside in the winter more tolerable. Glad I went with this model of jacket!

    This jacket was a little heavier than I had anticipated. I was shopping for a medium weight (though the description does say heavyweight). I was unfamiliar with the terms Sherpa and Duck Jacket so I didn't know what to expect material-wise. The jacket is a canvas type of material and pretty heavy with multiple layers and insulation. Sherpa-lining is the pilly faux fur material. I ordered an XL b/c I like an over-sized jacket but it's probably more what I would consider to be Large. I considered returning it because I already have a nice heavyweight coat; but it is just a good looking jacket so I decided to keep it. The hood is a perfect shape and fit. Front pockets are a good size the inside breast pocket is a little small but does just fit a cell phone.

    THIS IS A GIFT FOR MY SON. THIS IS A IMPROVED REPLACEMENT OF A JACKET THAT HE HAS WORK HARD IN FOR 12 YEARS ON A FARM AND FIXING EVERYTHING WITH WHEELS TOO. I EVEN PATCHED IT FROM BATTERY ACID HOLES. HE STILL WEARS IT AND I HOPE HE LOVES THIS ONE TOO.

    Weird fit. I am regular Medium, medium fits like an XS so I returned and bought a Large and it fit very very large. I love Carhartt but Don’t recommend this product.
