Pockets with no flaps!

We have purchased my husband uniform (pants and shirts) at least three times including the purchase of shirts this time from Carheartt and have been very pleased with the quality. They do not wear out and are very well made. We only replaced them because of industrial stains.
However, when I tried to order the same shirt this time, I was told that that style had been discontinued and there was a substitute that had been improved. I can see that it will be a better wearing shirt--there is one BIG difference between the old style and the new. The front pockets do not have flaps that button down.
My husband's work requires that nothing can fall out of the pocket. And he is sometimes head over heals into his work. :-)
We have decided to keep the shirts, but now he won't be able to use the pockets which presents a challenge to figure out what to do with the things he would keep in them. If the pockets were deeper, he would be able to use the button to keeps his phone in this front pocket. I hope Carheartt designers take this into consideration and redesign this shirt with pocket flaps.

Great shirts, they're a bit on the heavier side of things. Not your average button up weight but not overdone either. The heft is respectable and it shows for the quality. Highly recommend. A bit pricey but worth every penny seeing as they last forever. Only reason I even bought more was because I gave them away.

Great shirt, I love the fit and the material seems to be strong but soft. I bought the large and probably should of ordered the medium but it's a warm weather shirt so a little loose is better than too tight. Like all Carhartt clothing it's a winner!

Love the fabric, hate the fit. This is a so-called “relaxed fit”. In Carhartt terms that’s tailored (slightly). But tailored enough it doesn’t fit well.
