The cut of the sizes has changed. The 2x talks are no longer as big in the shoulders and the sleeves are two inches longer than they used to be. The 3x templates have also changed making these shirts less desirable. I worked with the local store owner for an hour going over these issues.

He is 6'7 205 lbs and normally wears a large, so I opted for the large tall. It is very loose, so I recommend sizing down. I would also like to ask Carhartt to consider making a tall in your medium size as well .

Overall they are good. They are a little itchy at first but probably just need to be washed and they will soften up. Also, I found my shirts from Fall 2020 seemed to be much more "heavyweight" then this version. Seems like something changed this time around.

These are a Christmas gift for my son. He loves these t-shirts and always requests them as a gift. He says they are very comfortable to wear. He is a big man, but he says the shirts are roomy and long enough to be very comfortable. He swears by them.

These are not as nice as the regular fit original k87 tee shirts. They come out of the dryer with more wrinkles and don't hold their shape as well making them harder to fold. Please bring back the originals.

I normally wear an X-Large, but the X-Large in this shirt is huge. I exchanged for a Large which is still a little big. I could probably comfortably wear a Medium.

I ordered the neon yellow. Shirt is great, like all Carharrt products. Durable and lasts a couple or a few years of rough wear and tear on heavy jobs. I like the cotton better than the "moisture wicking" polyester, to me polyester feels like wearing a trash bag, makes me sweat more.

I have the more earth toned ones that hide dirt for work shirts and a bunch of the "prettier" colors for nights out on the town. I've heard lots of people say these dont fit true to size but I couldnt disagree more. Carhartt shirts are for working blue collar Americans and are meant to be tucked in. That's why they fit bigger than most shirt companies but it's the perfect fit! Wont ever buy any other shirt. The quality, craftsmanship, and wide variety of colors make these shirts the only ones I'll ever buy!

I'm 6'2" and around 150Lbs on a good day. So, to say I'm tall and skinny would be accurate. In ordering this shirt I had to make an educated guess on the size because I have other t-shirts from Carhartt that range from Large too Small. (That all fit comfortably.) I ordered medium for this shirt and found it to be just a tad too big. And maybe that's because it a loose fit shirt, don't know. I say all this because I coming to the realization there is no standard in sizing. (Which is frustrating when your only option is to order online.) If you are a new customer looking for great quality clothing, you can't beat Carhartt. Just remember you may have to order twice to get the size you need, and it will vary on the type of shirt you are ordering!

Great shirt except for the ones made in Haiti. Quality control issue or something. All of them run slightly bigger except the Haiti made shirts which run super small. Which makes it a pain when ordering online when you wear a small in shirts made everywhere but Haiti and you can't control what you get

I purchased them before, about 6 months before i ordered these new ones, both in extra large. the ones i purchased 6 months ago fit perfect, the tee's you asked me to write a review about, the most recent tee's are way to big. i checked the size on each of the shirts and they were all extra large on the labels so i washed them. went to wear one a couple of days later and that's when i realized that they were this big on me. I really wish there is some way to rectify this situation.

I ordered 4 of the pocket T's only because the Force t Shirts were sold out in XLT. The Force shirts are superior in every way. The sizes run very large in the regular pocket T. Also feel much hotter in summer heat with the standard pocket T

Quality of the shirts is excellent. Good colors. I am a bigger person so ordered two sizes. 4xl tall and 4xl. I am 5’8” tall. 4xl is too long by 4 inches. 4xltall is too long by 6 inches or more. There was no 4xl short option, but I never expected either the regular or tall to be this long. I order 4xl tees from tow other retailers. They both fit well and are not to long. I paid about 90 dollars for the six t shirts. It will cost me nearly 90 dollars to have them altered. Like I said, good quality shirts, but something is wrong with this outcome. This is an honest and disappointed statement from a customer. KC May

It’s massive. Size large pretty much fits a size 3XL so definitely size down.

Beware the size is "Loose Fit" or more accurately "tent fit." See photo

BEWARE--the reliable, great fitting, K87 XL Tall is now "XL Tall Loose Fit," Which is to say it's a 2-XL but they don't want to say so. The old shirt was great, I would buy ten at a time and rotate them until they wore out. Since these are going back to the supplier I can't comment on what else has changed.

They are loose fit. If you're a normal xl guy then you might want a large. I had to drop down to a leg from a xl. I weigh 215 and in most tee shirts I wear a xl but in these I wear a lrg. Great shirts

tagless tag peels off and is scratchy

I like most of the things about the carhartt t shirts except the tag located at the neck. As it is washed the gold paint that is used for the tagless tag peels off and is very scratchy. It would be nice if the tag was put down at the waist of the shirt because the neck area is the most sensitive place to put a scratchy tag. The next time I buy T shirts I will look to see if any changes have been made in the tag and will probably buy another brand if the tag is still the same and located at the neck.

I have purchased multiple colors of the K87 and love them. Not a thin wimpy t-shirt. The shirt is thick and durable. Remains this way despite multiple washings. Color is true and have not had any issues with fading. Big and tall sizes run true to size.

I recently bought 6 of your loose fit heavyweight T-shirts in size XL. Generally, I like the fit and the variety of colors available. Material is nice and thick, and the sleeves are long enough. What I don't like is that the length of the T-shirts varies quite a bit. They're all the same size, but a couple are too long by 2 inches. My black one is almost 3 inches too long and that's a problem since I like to wear them untucked. Looks like I'm wearing a dress! Also, some of the crew collars are looser than others. I prefer a snug collar, close to the neck, and they should all be more consistent.

I bought these to wear for summer but they’re not quite summer material. These shirts are a heavier cotton and are awesome quality. I’ll certainly be wearing these this fall and winter. I am 6’4”, 240 lbs and I bought the XLT size. They fit perfect! They’re not the athletic cut we’re a XL is more like a medium. The sizes are built for us “bigger” guys.

The only variation to all carhartt shirts from other brands is the sleeves are longer. This isn't bad, just different. Fits perfect and feels good. Is looser fit, so function over form.

We love men’s tall shirts /coats/jackets etc. we do however wish that you started the tall in medium. All my brothers are bean poles but super y’all. We’d love if you started In. Medium and also started selling women tall shirts/hoodies/jackets coats etc. if you did this carhart would be the only place I got any long sleeve anything from. I am 6 foot tall and a medium. I hate that I cannot find a women flannel that doesn’t fit nicely for a women and long enough in the arms after washing it

These shirts were designed for people with a high BMI. Get at least 1 size smaller! I am 6'1 180 lbs and always wear Large. These Large shirts fit me like a big loose dress hanging way too low, and well past the groin area. Wife screamed "take that off!" when I tried the first one on. Also the neckline is a bit wide even in the Medium unless you are a body builder (or very heavy) and can fill it. Gave all 3 Lg shirts to my nephews who are 6'3 and 6'4. It fits them better length-wise, but still looks loose and baggy on them since they are athletic and not big around the waste.

I’ve been wearing Carhartt t-shirts for decades and I love them. The only shirt that I could find that fit and hung just right and didn’t have to be tucked in. The issue with the length of the shirt went from being an occasional thing with certain colors to now where they’re all too long. I wish we could get back to the old length.

I was so disappointed to find out they were Not 100% cotton. If had know or read I guess I would have never purchased them. I have 17 of them all 100% cotton and they’re thick too. If I can’t buy them like my old ones then I won’t purchase anymore! I gave them to a guy at work. Because I cannot wear them unless they are 100% cotton! Let me know where I can find the cotton ones same style!

I really like your T's. However I find a big difference in the T's that come from Guatamala than I do with the ones that come from the Honduras. The Honduran T is a better quality in my opinion. They seem to have a thicker material, or more cotton. If given the choice, I would pick the Honduran made T's.

Shirt is usual Carhartt quality. I only wish they wouldn't have extended the body length. The length of the current regular shirt is the same as older tall models. I'm 6'2" and the tail hangs below my crotch. Causes the shirt to resemble a mini dress.

What happened to your shirts? Why did you screw up a great T-Shirt? Your m-regular was a perfect fit. This lose fit is for the birds. They are baggy and uncomfortable. None of the outlets who carry your T-Shirts have any of the reg fit. Why? I recently purchased six new Tees. What a waste of money. Also I can’t find a new jacket anywhere that fits correctly. My old Tees and two of my old jackets were perfect. They lasted a long time. Please bring back your old merchandise. You know the old saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it “.

These shirts are really soft but hold up well to a Woodworking shop. In my experience they do fit 1 size larger than most shirts. I ordered a large and a medium would probably do a little better. But I don’t regret the purchase. If you are on the fence, just pull the trigger.

Shirt is great, but the sizing is absurd. I ordered two mediums, and even after shrinking them in the wash, they were massive. There was also a substantial difference in size between the two shirts I bought, despite them both being a medium. I'd say the true sizes were one L, and one XL, which customers should keep in mind when buying.

The only t-shirts hubby will wear - very soft and comfortable, not too thick. Normally he wears an XL in t-shirts, but in the loose fit a L fits him best. (5''11" and 190 lbs). He has one that is an XL and it's too big. Recommend you size down one size.

This was my mistake they sell these shirts in Regular and Relaxed fit. I’m more of a Regular but unfortunately ordered Relaxed. Fit is too big XL and sloppy. But that’s not Carhartts fault it was mine. So I gave them away to someone who could use them too much of a hassle to return.

Got 2 white and 2 black of these, all xl tall. Bought this as a both an undershirt for colder weather and as a regular tee for tucking in. I usually have trouble getting shirts that I can actually tuck in as I’m 6’8 250lb. But these fit spectacularly, I usually roll the sleeves once but I kinda like that look. It fits spectacularly, could wear it with just jeans. But the texture is a problem, it’s EXTREMELY scratchy. After probably 10 washes and drys, with a lot of softening with sheets and such it’s passable, but I was really surprised they came to me like that. Like sandpaper on my torso. Because of that they also had a tendency to grab onto my underwear and pull them up throughout the day. tl;dr: they fit wonderfully if you’re tall and lean. But you’re gonna have to do a lot of manual softening, go buy some heavy duty sheets.

Purchased 2 so far and noticed that the sizing is bigger than what I expected. I am 6 ft 3 inch tall and Weigh 226lbs . I usually wear an XL and bought one in Blue only to feel like I was wearing a poncho! I gave it a wash and Noticed that the material DOES NOT shrink so that's a plus. I purchased a Black shirt in size " L " and it fit perfect! So perfect that I haven't stopped wearing it the minute it comes out of the wash! Awesome shirt ... But Know your size!

I really like the deeper shirt pockets on these. Hopefully no more holes in the pocket bottoms from pens and pencils. The shirts fit well and are comfortable.

Don’t care for the loose fit. Normally by the classic fit. But it’s hard to find nowadays. The loose fit only seems loose in the upper arm area. The rest of it fits like regular fit. Not sure how many people look for the loose arm fit .? Loose upper arm fit. I laid are three styles of fit on top of one another. that and the look in the mirror tells my story. Harder and harder to find 100% cotton shirts from Carhartt is also a struggle in recent times. I learned the hard way that not all t shirts are 100% cotton more and more are a blend which I just and wear. The poly blends give a terrible smell I do not get from 100% cotton. I wear mostly Carhartt products and have for years. But my have to start looking for other brands.

I love the look, feel, and fit of these shirts. I’ve bought about fifteen of them in the last year alone for work. But I didn’t buy so many just because I like them. Unfortunately these shirts haven’t held up very well at all for me. I’m a mechanic so I do get stains and tears, but that’s not the biggest issue. These shirts lose their color within four or five washes. I have several navy blue and black shirts that have faded so much you can’t distinguish between them. I’ve had to get rid of them because they are too ragged even for a work shirt. I’m disappointed and wish these held up better because otherwise they are great.

Old Carhartt shirts were heavy 100% cotton shirts that lasted a very ling time. Seems like all the new Carhartt shirts both short and long sleeve are a stretchy and thin blended type of cotton. I thought i was buying the K97 shirts that i have been using for over twenty years now and i got these thin stretchy shirts that are longer in the body now and don't fit the same. I wish Carhartt would just leave good enough alone and make heavy duty shirts like they used to. I do like the tag less neck though.

I got a white XXL because I usually buy XXL I’m 6’ 230lbs 49yo with a Dads bod, it’s big. However I wear it under a sweatshirt. It’s the only white t-shirt I can’t see through. I’m very impressed of the overall quality and most of Carhartt clothing. I would recommend getting a size down for these bad boys don’t shrink after wash and dried!

Great weight...not too heavy or too light. Solid construction...no twisted bodies or crooked seams and a comfortable neck.

I bought 8 of these for my son. Ordinarily I'd buy him a Large, but the reviewers recommended purchasing one size down, so I bought him all Mediums and they fit him perfectly. He is 6'3" and 190. He is very happy with them; he's a welder and wears them to work in the summer.

Heavyweight cotton is excellent. Fit is on the roomy side but this makes it pretty much shrink-proof as is a huge issue with cotton shirts. I washed them and ran them through the dryer on high heat when I first got them to take a bit of the room out, and they have been stable since (and very comfortable).

My husband puts clothing to the test and Carhartt has served him well. The t-shirt is comfortable & feels solid. The 3 stars is because after washing it shrunk up almost 3 inches in length. We need real talls and they are so hard to find. We ordered 2XL Tall and it was 35" before washing and just over 32" after drying. We would pay more if you offered extra tall since it would still cost less than Polo pocket t-shirts. Those are the only ones that remain 35" in length which is what he needs.

I love Carhartt’s essential workwear, because they are perfect for just dailywear as well! I bought one for my boyfriend and for myself, because they are super soft and comfy. This shirt is great for just simply "doing stuff." The material isn't anything special, but it's good quality and provides protection from normal hazards. The "tall" sizes are a bit big--my XL Tall fits just slightly too big for my taste and I'm 6'2" 230lbs. But it doesn't hurt the function of the shirt.

This shirt has lovely thick fabric. It is also a great spring color. It fits well and is comfortable being 100% Cotton. If only it laundered nicely. The shirt came out of the dryer massively wrinkled. My husband wore it anyway.... but it was terribly wrinkled.

Overall, I would say that they are great shirts to own. I happen to have about 10 in different colors, but they are oddly inconsistent. Despite being the same style and the same design, some will fit differently with larger sleeves or be a slight bit more baggy in general. Also I'm a big guy so I mostly wear an extra large, but it should be noted that these run rather large, and so I would get one size smaller. That being said, they're good, thick, versatile shirts, and some of my favorite.

I wear only 100% Cotton shirts. I have multiples of every color. All the new Colors are not 100% cotton. I haven’t bought a new Carhartt shirt for myself in two years. I have been forced to buy from other manufacturers to get the 100% cotton shirt that I prefer.

The quality of these t-shirts are outstanding. I'm 6'3, 33w, I usually get Large t-shirts for the length but the medium size of this type of shirt is long enough and it is truly Loose Fit. I will be buying more of these in different colors.

This is the first time I've ever purchased Carhart t-shirts. I'm just wearing one of the 2 a few days after receiving them and I must say that it fits perfectly. I love the roomy fit and the quality of the fabric. I haven't washed either of them yet, but I can see no reason why they wouldn't wash well. I will buy more of these shirts in the future.

Each shirt was the appropriate color and they all fit fine. They arrived on the date estimated and in proper packaging. I have not worn any of them yet, as I rotate my 29 shirts. Each day I wear the next one in line. All the new ones went to the back of the line. I'll know more at the end of the month. :)

I don't have time to fully articulate how great these shirts (I bought 5 of them) are. They really are stupendous. They are heavy-weight. That's what I really wanted. I like the loose, comfortable fit. I could not seem to find what I was looking for in bricks-and-mortar stores. I've been looking for decent, heavy-weight, loose-fitting t-shirts for years. Finally I found them, and a source of supply for them, and there is a good selection of colors. And it is great that they have a decent pocket that I can put a pen and notepaper in.

These shirts fit very big, so get a size below what you usually wear. I wear a 2X and after reading the comments about the oversize shirts, I opted for XL's. Bought 5 of them and they all fit great. Very happy.

Should have read the reviews and fine print before I ordered. I'm thinking K87 is the same shirt in many different colors. Didn't realize it was a cornucopia of mixed fabric combinations that all make the K87. Why not have different numerical designators for different material shirts. Less confusing. If 100% cotton is important to you please read which colors are offered in that fabric. I didn't and was disappointed

The K87 Carhartt shirts have changed materials & fit. These are made for short heavyset guys with huge necks. By the end of the day of wearing these shirts, the shirt is sagging on me, & the neck hole is so stretched out it almost hangs off my shoulder. I downsized to a size medium, but the neck holes are also huge. I still have a few of the old school K87s that in comparison are exceptional & worth paying the price of a Carhartt. I've been wearing K87s for years, but I'm currently looking for a replacement. Change is sometimes good, but not in this case. Does anyone remember New Coke?

I have loved these shirts. Have worn about 8 of them over the past 4 years. Generally very durable. Made from great material. I had one shirt where the stitching in the left sleeve came undone after about 5 months. The rest have worn very well. They are very comfortable and look good.

I wear these everyday on and off the job site. Great shirts but the shirt pockets always rip open in no time with very little wear of the shirt.

I forgot how good great cotton T-shirts feel. The service was excellent and the sizing is fairly true. If anything they might run slightly large. Very impressed with how they are holding up in the laundry. I highly recommend these shirts!

Such a great quality of tee. My husband really likes the fit. It is very true to size and since he’s tall it’s hard to find a tee that’s fits well.

The Carhart tee shirt that I received was labeled as a medium but was a large. It is a very nice shirt if you received the correct size.

I ordered a men’s small and there Huge tags say small but there’s no way there small and i normally wear mediums sizing sucks

I love this shirt. I bought three of them for work and I ended up buying three more to wear out and for around the house because I love the way they look and feel. They do run a little big. I usually wear a 3XL and had to downsize to a 2XL so I wasn't swimming in the shirt. Will definitely buy more!
