High dollar, so why not expect high quality?

I returned them. The little brass pieces of the zipper hadn't been smoothly finished and had sharp edges that put fine scratches on my neck. The coveralls aren't binding or restrictive. I just needed to roll up the cuffs about 4" to keep them out of the mud. I think all the negatives reviews concerning these coveralls having a ridiculously long torso could be remedied with some optional internal suspenders. Carhartt could make some extra money selling them separately. I intend to build and install some on the replacement coveralls that I've purchased. Lastly, I wish that there was a way to reach my pants pockets without opening up the coveralls.

Insulated Coverall

Excellent Investment. I do tree work and have stayed warm throughout the midwest winter. I am 5' 10" 170lbs and the small fits very well. It leaves plenty of room to layer up underneath without being too bulky to operate a chainsaw for hours on end. This material is very durable and has yet to show any signs of wear throughout the season. They are a bit pricey but worth it. I haven't had an issue with any of the various zippers like other branded coveralls I've had.

Great product. Need to know length of the inseam when ordering.

The quality of the coverall is great. I had trouble ordering the right size. If the inseam length had been included with the measurement sizing chart it would have been more informative. As it was, I ordered a large off the medium chart, and it fit except the legs were 5 inches too long, beyond the ankle.

Regular is TOO LONG!

They're too long! I bought a Regular (L) and I am 5'-10". They're NOT sized properly. They are of NO USE to me. I cannot even walk in them. This does NOT correspond to the SIZE CHART on the website's order page.

Great fit. True to size. I'm 6'3" with 38" waist and fits properly. Plenty of room at crotch to sit comfortably and not be castrating myself. Good insulation level but slightly less than 12 Over 8 Walls. Fine for anything this side of Alaska. Not sure about water repellent level on outer fabric, but not a factory claim either.

Torso way too long
AlexK

They seems warm and well made but the torso on these things is insane. The legs fit perfectly as long as I lift the shoulders an extra 6 inches. Otherwise the crotch hangs so low it's difficult to walk.

Sizing is terrible

Feb 27, 2021
The sizing chart is WAY WRONG. I'm 5'10" and originally ordered the regular. Had to return it and ordered a short. The short fits, but is still a bit tall for me. If you're shorter than 5'8" this will not fit you. Other than sizing issues, I love my new coveralls. My old one is 35 yrs old and looks like a rag. Nice to finally get it replaced.

Way oversized. I followed the size guide and it was way too big. I heard that products shrink with a warm wash and it was still too big. Now I’m stuck swimming in a brand new coveralls.

I am replacing an identical pair size Large Regular that are 24 years old.
24 years ago I was 5"11", 160 lbs and they were getting tight
Now I am 5'11", 190 lbs. I checked the charts on the website and ordered Regular XL. The body fit is good but they are long.
I don't really know if I should return them for a short or just live with it.

Barn Chores

I really like the coveralls. They provide warmth and protection as I do barn chores. The only suggestion I have is to add belt loops or elastic drawstring at the waist to help prevent the coveralls from sagging.

Christmas Gift
Andrea
Dec 28, 2022
The product I ordered was a perfect fit for my spouse. The only issue was that it was a Christmas gift and when the package was delivered it came in a bag that had the Carhartt logo on it in big letters. My spouse is the one that got the package off the porch, so he knew what he had gotten before Christmas. It should have been packaged in a box where it wasn't noticeable. It ruined the surprise but overall, he loved the coverall.

Coveralls: no side entry to pants pockets. No leg dual zipper.
STEPHANR
Jan 27, 2023
i love the carhartt products. However, i have owned many different brands of coveralls in my life. They all had a side entry at the hip so you could access your pants pockets.
They all also had 2 dual zippers (like this does on the front) for the legs.
I thought i would get the cadillac of coveralls, but now wish i had stayed with a brand i had in the past.

Legs are 4 inches longer than regular...a real problem
3 out of 5 stars.
Sizing chart is way off when it comes to length. Only buy these if your torso is much longer than your legs.

Great product if you can find some that fit. The torso length on these is all messed up. Way too long. I'm 6'2" and weigh 260 lbs. I normally wear 44x34 pants. I followed the sizing chart and ordered a 2XLT, The crotch was almost to my knees and I had to roll the leg cuffs up over 5 inches to keep from walking on them. I pulled the coveralls up so the crotch was in the correct position and I looked like the headless horseman. The collar was above my head.

Had to replace an old pair of these. These new ones are much more flexible, hopefully just as warm but that will have to wait a few more months. Since the new ones are now S, M, L... instead of a 46 Reg...I didn't want to order online. Luckily I was on a business trip and there was a local store; the store had several sizes I could try on, but had to order the Large Short. The sizing chart seems way off. Per the chart the short is 5-3 to 5-7. I'm 5-10 and the short still has plenty of room.

I love the product but it’s the same ole sizing problem - I used the sizing chart and ordered a XL tall (which is what I normally wear) but it is big enough to fit a 10ft. tall giant - no kidding. So I ordered again and went large / tall - and again way too big. I gave up at this point but my wife purchased a Large / Regular and I am happy with it. The side zippers up and down the leg no longer zip down from the top so I can’t access pants pockets on my clothing inside the suit, use to / no more - bummer. I’m 6’-1” 180 lb.

Love my Coveralls, I had recently sent back the full sleeve coveralls because they where to big. I ordered the large regular and I’m 208 5’ 11’’
I ended getting a R38-blk (36x32) after trying them some on. Love the quality and craftsmanship.
