READ ALL! These boots are great ! From the looks to durability. I will recommend that you pair these with some thick/ padded socks as the inside sole is a little less cushioned. Other than that they are comfortable to walk and move around in. The sizing is true to size as well. There is a little seam in the inside that can bother the ankle slightly, but it breaks in after a few wears. For what the boots are, I recommend them!

Tried a pair of these a long time ago .It took a while to break them in . Which I didn't mind either. After i got them broke in the comfort was hard to beat. kicking around as a home builder ,mud boards sometimes nails concrete drywall you name it i put them through it all. Think i got three to four years out of then. this is my fourth pair. Verry Proud Of Carhart. They Make Quality Stuff

This is the worst boot I've bought. Boot is very narrow so I if you have a wide foot this will be an uncomfortable wear. The pair I bought was not waterproofed correctly so I had water sipping through on the first snowfall 3 weeks after I purchased them.

I have bought two pairs of this work boot. The first pair I bought two years ago. At first they were my favorite boot that I ever purchased. I still say that to this day they are one of the most comfortable boots out of the box. However, I wore this boot couple of months in harsh winter conditions, and then the soul cracked on them. At first I was upset, but I figured the fluctuating winter temperatures of Wisconsin had something to do with it. After that pair I fell into a pair of caterpillars that I wasn’t fond of. So I decided to by this same pair again. However the boot barely lasted 2 months before the sole cracked again. I’m extremely disappointed in this. I believe in the Carhartt brand, and for this to be a reoccurring problem truly disheartens me, and has caused me many days with wet feet working in winter conditions. Now I just placed an order for a different brand. My mind is telling me no..but my body, my body is telling me yea.

This is the Carhartt commitment on the webpage.
Yet, I got a 6" pair of boots - not these, exactly, but leather, with the same rubber butterfly thingy in the back. With limited and occasional use, the butterfly split, the seams between the leather and that rubber split, the whole back of the boot opened up in the achilles area. I saw the commitment online, contacted Carhartt, sent pics as per their request, and two weeks later, after no replies, I called them and got the statement that they'll stand behind the boots only up to one year. Gee, it never would have gotten so drawn out if someone had told me that when I'd first called. I was clear upon first contact that I'd had the boots over one year. I was offered a 10% discount to buy another pair - like I would even think of getting another pair after this level of breakdown. Btw, there are areas around the top of the boot and tongue that look like leather but aren't - they're vinyl, and that delaminated almost immediately.

I bought these boots 6-8 months ago now. After a few months of wearing them everyday all day, I work in the landscape industry . The sole on the left boot has basically deteriorated to nothing the right boot has some wear for the length. They are still water proof, but I also apply a waterproofing agent monthly to them. They do make your feet sweat horribly. I may buy these again but I will probably just spend the extra money and buy some Red Wings.
