This is an awesome hat. This is the fifth hat in my collection. Most of my hats are straw hats from Resistol, so I ordered the same size in this hat. The Resistol hats are just a bit smaller in the same size, but this hat still fits very well. I will be saving this hat as my dress hat, and my other hats will be used as everyday ones. Even though this hat was out of stock at Sheplers, and was part of an order with other merchandise, the hat only arrived a few days later. Great job guys!!!

Hat is nice and lightweight. Easy to shape with some steam or hot water. I ordered 1/8" too big, but shouldn't be a problem once I put some padding under the headband. The band around the outside of the hat does not match the one in the picture, but isn't that big of a deal.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present and he loves it.

Since this was an ‘online’ purchase and I wasn’t sure which ‘black’ straw cowboy hat to choose, I decided to order both this ‘Bullhide’ brand ‘palm’ straw hat and the Justin Cutter 20X straw hat (same exact size). Once I received them both I found that this Bullhide brand hat was NOT ‘true to size’, (it has a very loose fit and it has a heavier weight than most straw/palm hats). —Furthermore, the look was not what I expected. —Therefore, I would suggest ordering a size smaller than your actual size if you are going to go with the particular brand hat.

It arrived on time as was promised the packagin was dented upon arrival but the hat was not damaged ... it seems to be of good quality, tried it on and the size was correct have not had a chance to wear it yet do to I need to reshape it ...

Sizing is true. Crown and brim are accurate and balanced. Crown peak js not overly done for cattleman style. Band is good style. Discovered the black paint rubbed off in spots from shipping and had to use a Sharpe to correct. Not what I expected for the price.

This my first western hat. It is awesome and fits really well. I followed the head measurements precisely. I was a little concerned it would fit, but it does perfectly. Fair price. Would definitely buy again.

This nice hat runs large. Order one size smaller. Brim edge trim uneven at the back.

Ok but not what I was expecting. It’s not very sturdy and runs just a little big, need a sweat band and it should be perfect. Had to remove the hat band to get the product tag off because there is so much glue. The dye transfer is really bad. Handle it for any amount of time and your hands and forehead start to turn black and it’s very hard to clean off. Wish I could have seen it before I bought it but it was only available online where I’m from.

I purchased this for my son and it was great. He loved it. Only thing was the sizing ran a little large. I plan to buy one for my husband for Christmas.

The hat itself is really impressive. Like tight straw quality, and well made. The brim isn't too big or overbearing. The only issue I have which is kind of a game changer for me is the crown. The crown is extremely low on my head. I didn't even think twice when buying because it looked pretty deep in the pictures. The hat feels like it will fall off all the time, even with adding some padding inside for a firmer fit/ size. That's the only downside with ordering online. I plan on visiting bootbarn in the next 2 weeks when I'm down in the Carolina's to find something a little better fitting.

Love the hat..Jill did a great job shaping it for me. Only complaint is the black rubs off some. I touched it up with a marker.

Absolutely great hat got both this as a Christmas gift and as soon as it was found where it was hidden, my husband fell in love! It fits perfectly and he loves the feel of it! Thanks for helping make this Christmas great!

The hat seems to be a little large but the texture makes it feel soft not hard like some of my other hats. The crown could have been a little higher but it wears great.

One of the best straw hats I've owned at any price, and this one is very reasonably priced. This is my second one. First one held up great last couple of years, just getting worn as I wear it a lot including work. Very durable and soft straw so no worries about cracking. Have re shaped mine many times and the wire brim is still like new. A few spots where the black has rubbed off but that's with a lot of wear and tear. No complaints. Fit is perfect.

This hat looks great on me, but i had to use touch up paint for all the nicks on the hat where color rubbed off. The other thing which is stupid is the paper tag in front of the hat with the size, in between the hat and the band was glued and i had a hard time taking it off. The only reason i kept the hat is because i got a 15% discount.

I was concern buying this hat at first, normally I wear Resistol or Stetson. But I wanted a palm leaf hat. Another thing this hat isn't American made, which was another concern. But I received it and I was so impressed with how well it was made, the only dislike I have is the hat band on the in side needs to be thicker.
