    This is my second pair. I walk dogs for a shelter and lead horses for Camp Cheerful. These boots are comfortable, protect my feet, keep them warm and are light weight. I highly recommend them.

    Very comfortable! I have trouble finding comfortable footwear as I have trouble with my feet, but when I found these I was completely satisfied. I Have used them for a number of years, and thoroughly enjoy them. They are quality!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first pair of Ariat boots I have bought for myself but I have bought several pair for my son and he loves them so I decided to get a pair for myself, I have a bad back so shoes are very important to me, I received them the other day a put them on thinking that I would have to break them in but no, they were comfortable from the very start. The product is way beyond any other shoe or boot I have ever bought.

    Very disappointed in the current quality of these boots. For the last 20+ years I have worn Ariat paddock boots and terrains. The last 2 pair have been disappointing lasted for very short times. The current pair I have worn less than 12 times and have had for about a month. I always could rely on these boots to fit well right out of the box and last for years….until now.

    I found Ariat boots several years ago. It is so good to find a company that understands that woman need sturdy, comfortable boots too. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, but the Terrain boots are so comfortable and supportive that I can wear them all day.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love these for hiking,but… I will start by saying that I have bad feet and I know it. I struggle with bunions and hammer toes. I bought these in wide hoping to give my feet enough room and there is plenty of room for my bunions to breath and toes to wiggle. They felt amazing out of the box and around the house so sprayed them with waterproof and took them out in my first 10 mile hike. About half way it felt like despite having enough room my toes were being squeezed together. Over the course of 3 more 10 milers it got worse. I think that the center of the toe box dips down or cups the ball of my foot causing it to collapse in on itself. After about 40 miles I get immediate squeezing when I put them. Idk if it’s my foot problems or a flaw in the boot, but that is my experience. However, the waterproofing I sprayed on made these leather completely waterproof and durable for wet weather hikes, I’ve never had a heal blister and I think they’d hold up everywhere else.

    I bought these boots seven years ago and they are still looking good and still feel good on my feet! I live where the terrain is rough and walk my dog every day about three times so I walk in rain, snow, and sleet. They are great!

    I go horseback riding with these boots and theyre reliable in the rain and mud. Ive had the same pair for 3 years and have yet to rip or tear. The only negative is that the laces came apart within the first month.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boot does run a little big. Most of the time I buy an 8 in shoes and I had to return for a 7.5. This still seem slightly big but if you wear thick socks they should be fine. I have not worn the boots yet but they seem comfy and good quality.

    I have been wearing them the last 4 yrs. They use to last about a year. Now, I get about 3 months wear out of them. Will be looking to seeif Ican find somethingelse foreveryday use and will use mynew onesfor riding only. They are no longer tough boots/shoes or very versatile due to the fact that they DON'T last. For riding 5 stars/, for everyday use 2 stars.

    Not only do I ride in these shoes but I also wear them to work, down the street and for my everyday running around. I have a good pair, a riding pair, an outdoors pair and I really wear little else on my feet. They are supportive, have helped my knees stop hurting and look good enough to wear with jeans and pants. My only complaint would be that I wear them out from overuse.

    They are comfortable right out of the box. My old hikers had more padding around the ankle, but it took very little time to get used to these. First day I worked in them then took my dogs on a hike. No problems. They look great. I highly recommend.

    Very comfortable for those on their feet all day. The lacing system needs improvement; the lacing tends to loosen up and it is hard to keep the top from getting too loose.

    Because its a comfortable boot as you age, your feet hurt, and this boot is comfortable and yet still safe to ride in. Works great for all around boot with the look of Western wear, but not the uncomfortableness of a rigid boot, highly versatile forms to your foot, semi waterproof great summertime, less overheating still warm enough to wear in the winter a great boot been wearing for long time.

    I got a Size 8 B, these boots are really cute and in person the colors are really vibrant and there are no variations in the serape design, the material placement is exactly the same on each boot. There is some room to wear nice thick socks for good long hikes in the winter or for working inside a warehouse environment. I have a pair of Pink Camo Lace Up high ankle boots , which I love. Wish I would have gotten two pairs. I also have a pair of Paddock Ankle Boots Zip Ups, Dark Brown, and a pair of cool city ankle boots with a really nice caramel brown color. They all have been very well made and have lasted me a good long time with average use, except for my city boots which I only wear on special occasions and I still haven't really broken in the leather!!!

    Plenty roomy, no need to size up on this one, even for thick socks. Great shoe for tromping through the woods. I can actually feel my whole foot spread out in the shoe, which is so helpful for balance and comfort. The shoe also receives lots of compliments because of the top color.

    I have been wearing Ariat Terrain boots for several years. I try to walk at least an hour a day, five days a week, andthese boots give incrediblecomfort andsupport! Theyalsowork well with my high arches.I had aflaw in one boot a few years ago and Ariat graciously replaced the boots even though they showed significant wear. The only negative to me is that they have shortened the shoelaces too much on my new pair. Traditionally the laces have been too long, but now they have made them too short to tie easily. I love the Taupe color and get lots of compliments on it. I also bought the same boots in waterproof (different color) and those are great for muddy days.

    In September of 2018, I ordered these boots. It hasn't even been 6 months and they're falling apart. The toes are peeling, the sole is coming off, and the water resistance has not been affective since the first month I bought them. I don't wear them everyday, maybe 2-3 times a week. Very disappointed in the quality of these boots for the price I paid. I expected a much higher quality as I have always chosen Ariat when purchasing tall boots for English riding.

    After reading reviews I ordered up a size (8.5) but it wasn't necessary. I returned those and ordered my usual Ariat size 8 and they fit perfectly. Unique styling, solid feel and fit. I ordered the colorful SW style, actually go with almost everything. Non-marking. Haven't put them to the test yet...but am expecting usual Ariat excellence.

They run a little big--there's even room to add a secondary insole, which I might do. But I'm totally ok with that because I wear thick socks while I work. The only thing I think that could make these boots better is if they created a slip-on or zip up version so arena dirt can't get in.

    These boots are fun and look nice but they feel like they don't quite sit right on your foot. They are comfy but not high enough and tight enough aroundtheanklesto giveyou the same feeling as the english-style ariat paddock boots. I won't buy them again.

    I've been in the process of trying to find dog walking/hiking boots and regular casual shoes because the old company which I bought my shoes from and enjoyed for many years now has changed their ways and no longer make roomy toe boxes. They shoes have also become very short. I found these boots and I really love them. Plenty of toe box room for any thickness of socks, soft and pliable around the foot and ankle so no break in required. Can't feel gravel on the roads through the bottom. I use an arch support which also fits in the boot easily with room to spare. My first 5 mile walk was a dream. They seem to run a tad bigger than most size 9s and that's a good thing. I plan on purchasing more in the near future and in the meantime, the Terrain boot will be happily worn each day. Highly recommended.

    I tend to get blisters/rub spots with new boots, but none with these. In the last month I've used them for riding, mucking, walking and a few short jogs-no problems.

    I had a very old pair of these boots that I LOVED. The replacement pair from a few years ago were good, but much heavier, bulkier. Still,verygood, comfortable.Definitely protected your feet from injurywhenoutwalking. The newest ones (post Hurricane Sandy - no one would want to wear any shoes, boots or sneakers after that disgusting mess!) need to go back. They are long enough but narrow across the toe box. Boo. I literally have one pair of sneakers at the moment. I was counting on these boots.

    I purchased the Ariat Terrain Boot in Distressed Brown/Cheetah a couple of weeks ago and from the moment I received them and tried them on, I could have wept with joy. You see I have bad feet and have gone through a few surgeries already (tarsal tunnel, calcaneal osteotomy, 1st MTP joint replacement(both feet), pseuod-jones fracture - and that's just on the left foot!). I'm going to have another couple of surgeries on my right foot in another week and these boots have given me the stability I need (no more drunk-like walking), and comfort to keep the pain down in both feet. Unless you've had feet problems, you might not understand. These are COMFORTABLE! Not to mention cute enough to wear to the office!

    I love these boots. They are very comfortable and I'm on my second pair. Unfortunately, California Gymkhana Assoc. has determined that they donot meet therequirements forGymkhana - even thoughany 25 buck fashionwestern boot from Walmart is OK. I would encourage Ariat to bring some pressure to bear on the CGA so we can ride in comfort and safety.

    Bought only my third pair of Terrains over the past 16 years of hard wear! Well designed, excellent footbed to support heels and arches ( mine are very low), a nice big toe box for long toes and a padded collar for being in comfortably all day and evening. Sizes are true. Best boot ever.

    GREAT Ariat boots; I've been wearing footwear by Ariat for over 10 years and have NEVER had a problem! In all that time, I've only had to buy 4 pairs of these paddock / riding boots because they last SO long. One pair I bought was in black for horse shows, so technically, I've only gone "through" 3 pair! GREAT customer service by Shepler as well!!

    Very comfortable boot but to much money to pay for a boot that won't last 12 months mostly spent working indoors. Mainproblem is inside bigtoearea tearing/pulling away from the sole.

    Bought for my daughter in Washington state. She works outside no matter what the weather. I think hiighly of Ariat boots. First pair I wore for 10 years, This pair was the third. She said they fit perfect, as always, and her feet feel GOOD at the end of work.

    I bought these boots for hiking and durability out on the farm. I took them with me when I went non technical canyoneering in Utah and let me say, they did not let me down. Descending into the canyon was terrifying, but these boots offered great grip and did not fault in the ankles. Great support, surprisingly light and extremely comfortable. Great shock absorption and sole support. Didn’t get overly hot or uncomfortable (and this was my first time wearing them/breaking them in!!!). These are my most trusted pair of boots, feels like a second (more protective) skin.

    Great look and super comfortable feel, I work all day in mine and have never had any foot pain. These are a great change from boots and they have a riding heel that lets you be safe and still ride in something close to a tennis shoe c omfort.

    I wore my boots a couple days a week for a couple of months. Noticed the left boot kept feeling loose. After looking at my boots I can easily see they're torn in a high stress area of lacing. It's clear the reinforcing stitching eas misplaced on my left boot... the person sewing them completely missed the stress area! As I looked st my right boot, the backstitch reinforcing stitching is in the correct area & thus that boot is fine and shows no defect! Please see attached pics!! I hope the good folks at Ariat replace my defective boots!!
