    I've had these boots for two years and wear them when riding my motorcycle. Typically, they might be worn twice a week from mid-spring thru mid-fall. Accordingly, the leather and soles are in really nice shape. However, those black rubber toe and heel caps......they are turning into a nice gooey black mess on both shoes. If you touch it with your fingers, better get some Lava bar soap or GOJO Waterless Mechanics hand cleaner to get the stuff off. In technical terms, the polymer material is breaking down (i.e., separating) into whatever petrochemicals it was formed from. Yea, it's bad and the product should be avoided.

    I worked as a mail carrier for 2 years. I needed boots that could make it through wet cold days and hot dry ones. These boots kept my feet and whole body comfortable for my 12 -14 hour days as some shoes can cause knee or other pain these do not. . I walked constantly 6 days a week in any weather. These boots held up. After about 18 months of this abuse the tread was wearing out but I was replacing them with another pair for sure. Cant beat the price either.

    Toe of shoe rip in last than 3 months of wear, you would think that there would be leather behind black fabric toe protection, not so just padding, shoe is not worth the money you pay.

    These boots are ok, they dont have any support and dont have a great sole. I have other Ariat boots that were very comfortable and more durable. You cant walk all day in these without getting tired.

    These hiking boots fell like custom made hiking boots and right out of the box nearly an exact fit and I like the width of the EE for my paddles. I wore them today for 4 miles and will getting them broken in to my feet and will be at 10 miles before long. These may cost more to start out, but the cost of replacing the cheaper hiking boots added up quickly, these are lower in cost over time. I really liked the lace eyes as other boots use speed clips that tear up the laces. I look forward to buying more of your products in near future.

    I had to order a men's size to get the width I need. I wore the around the house for several days and they seem to fit good. I got the waterproof as I want them for wet weather and snow. I do wish they were a little taller on the leg but I think they will be fine. As far as looks goes they are ok for a woman. I think they will be fine.

    I’ve owned a pair of these for a little over a year. They were great at the beginning but the soles are separating from top part of shoe, resulting in water getting in while riding. Not very pleasant, & uncomfortable.

    These are really nice boots with great leather uppers as well as good waterproofing and insulation. But there's absolutely no traction on the bottom. The sole is almost smooth and almost completely lacking in any form of tread. They're unsafe on any surface that's even the least bit slippery. Not good design for a winter boot. I wish I had noticed this prior to purchasing and wearing them.

    For 2.5 winters I have ridden a bike in the cold Canadian Prairie winter with these on. With a pair of quality socks they are good for 30 minutes at -20 Celsius and have ridden at -35 C. Have walked thousands of kilometers and ridden more in these boots. Great on ice walking and the rubber sole with heal is what a bike rider needs.

    Purchased these a month ago as a hybrid riding/hiking boot for a trip to Africa next year.  I know Ariat runs large.  I usually take a 10 1/2 - 11 but I bought a 10.  I was spot on on the size. The length is great and fits comfortably well, toe box fits perfect but the heal slips.  Tried to take a mile walk today and came home with heel blisters.  The heal box definitely is too large or just not shaped right.  I'll use them for riding, not walking in the future.  Construction is excellent.  I'd send them back if I could.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a pair of Ariat riding boots which are 12 years old and are the most comfortable boots I own, so I decided to give other Ariat products a try. I purchased the waterproof version of the Ariat Terrain in March of 2021. I treated them with mink oil several times and wore them as a daily boot nearly every day, except in summer when I wear sandals. I typically walk in all environments, but it’s mostly grass, woodlands, and other soft surfaces with some urban walking as well. The tread has held up well despite the urban use, but after one year cracks started forming at the toes and after 1.5 years, holes developed and the leather upper has started separating from the sole. After 2 years, large holes have developed at the toes and the boots are only good for chores. I’m disappointed that they did not hold up longer and I’m hesitant to purchase other ariat products. My feet tended to sweat more in these, but I chalked that up to the waterproof lining. If you’re feet sweat easily, you might consider the regular version if you’re ok with having to replace them every year when they start wearing out.

    Ending up returning these. Very disappointed because for that price rage was expecting better fit. The problem is there is very little support on heel inside the boots which makes it slide up and down every time you make step. Not sure if it's just this pair or this model in general.

    FIT WAS TRUE TO SIZE. I HAVE TERRIBLE FEET, TONS OF PAIN IN THE BALLS OF MY FEET. THESE BOOTS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE...NO PAIN. I PLAN TO BUY ANOTHER PAIR. JUST IN CASE THE MANUFACTURER CHANGES THE BOOT. THESE WORK PERFECTLY FOR ME.

    This is my 5th pair I have purchased and love them I use these boots as a mechanic - a lot of time on my feet , the cushion and comfort is excellent. I am often kneeling, so the toe area , over time, gets curled. The shop boots get replaced every year -year and a half. They are excellent hiking boot! Crossing many wet areas, streams! Keep feet warm and dry.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work for the USPS (mail carrier) and needed a good sturdy slip proof/waterproof shoe... so I ended up buying these in black for work back in Feb/Mar, it's almost Halloween. I have almost no complaints about my boots! I'm on my feet all day long and my feet don't hurt when I get home after working 8-12 hours. The only thing is they get hot, but that doesn't bother me since my feet aren't aching like in other shoes I have bought for work in the past. I highly recommend these boots!!

    My husband buys a new pair every year so we wish they would last longer. He is wearing them most everyday for doing horse chores in the evening. They are getting hard use & are truly waterproof. This is the only boot he's happy with. Not a cowboy boot kinda guy. Finds them too narrow & stiff. So we'll stick with these & hope you continue to offer them. He wears a 13 EE which is not always an easy size to find either.

    These are good boots for the most part. They only last me a year. They start cracking on the sides and leaking. The soles outlast the uppers by far. They are the only shoes I can wear for long periods without my feet hurting. But they react with the perspiration from my feet to create a terrible stench. After a few weeks, I can't wear them in enclosed spaces. The non waterproof Terrains don't have the same problem but I don't wear them as often.

    These boots are fanominal! So far they have lasted me three times longer than other boots I have purchased. These boots are light, breathable in all seasons, excellent shank support to keep your footing square, great insole cusion. My work use is window cleaning and insurance adjuster; these boots have been on roofs, attics, ladders, wet swampe ground, flooded structures, burnt out dewllings. My feet have always stayed dry and comfortable in heat and cold. My brother even bought a pair because his feet over-heat; he loves his Ariat boots also. I am located in North Central Florida. My only con is the insole replacement is not yet available.

The first year I got into a flood an had to stand in 18 inches of water for awhile. I had no trouble with them after that but normal wear. The new ones fit fine. I don't no if they have changed other than the shorter laces which is good so they don't touch the ground after double knotting. I'll let you know how they work out. Thank you, Doug.

    waterproof runs very small, wearing an 8D in regular terrain, had to get an 8.5 wide in waterproof one, heavy boot, sent them back even once I got the correct size and kept the lighter farmland instead

    I have the women's version of this boot and love them when I go walking in cold snowy places. However, when I sent this to my brother, he said they were too tight in the toes and he didn't think he could break them him. He has worn Ariat boots (different style) before.

    These boots look great and are very comfortable. They have a great arch support system. The only negative is the narrow width. I normally wear 8.5 D in women's but wide wasn't available in the women's sizes. So I ordered the men's 7 D (I wear this type of boots outside in the winter) so I would have enough width to allow for thick socks. I like them so much I will wear them anyway when I don't need extra warm socks. Just be careful if you have wide feet. The men' look identical to the women's.

    I have been using these boots for over 2 years now and just love them. The boots fit perfect right out of the box, and I really liked this part, breaking in boots is hard. The boots are very comfortable, and the weight is not bad too. I am picking up another pair for summer use and hope the new boots last as these did. I will keep the older boots for dirty work and use the newer boots for lesser work or hiking trips.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my second purchase of the Terrain waterproof hiking boots. I start every morning with a hike of about an hour around our property. There's usually a heavy coating of dew, or if not, it is wet from rain, so waterproof is a must. I was still using my original pair after more than a year of hard use with no problems. That is unusual, as other boots I've tried don't last six months. But I thought I would buy another pair in the event I had a failure with the old ones. First impression: Wow! They felt great right out of the box with no "break-in" needed. I have a wide foot, and the EE width provides a level of comfort that is difficult for me to find in other boots. There is no doubt that when I decide to replace these, I will purchase the Ariat Terrain boots again.

    This is my second pair . First pair is 6 years old . They look crazy worn ! But still use them for dirty stuff . They’re comfortable right out of the box . Fit is very good . Absolutely the most durable boot of this type I’ve ever had . And yes , they weren’t always worn looking . They are a nice looking shoe.

    The most comfortable shoe I own (besides house slippers). Good arch and ankle support are the best features. Got waterproof model because that is all they had in my size. Only negative about Ariat is limited selection in my size (10).

    Bought this for hiking based on reviews. It's an ok boot but not for long walks. Maybe standing etc. quality good but feels clunky when walking. I bought western boot size and have over 40 pair of boots. These just don't do it for me.

    I recommend this riding boots. They are soft, fit well, and are light. I use them every weekend and help me better withthe horse leg aids.

    The interior of these boots are not the quality of boots made 5 years ago. They have much less support.

    This is the first pair of boots I have ever bought for my husband that did not require hours with a boot stretcher followed by hours of breaking in. He was able to put them on and walk all over our farm all day long. He still can't believe how comfortable these boots are and how nice they look.

    My daughter is a Vet and I ordered an 11 womens (clearly a challenge finding boots that fit) and a 9.5 mens. Both cameand both worked! She was goingto Africa asa tripleaderwith World Vets and I wantedherto have great boots for the trip! I also have them and love them!

    Just a good boot I believe this is my fourth pair over the past 6 years. I usually walk about 20 miles a week at work. Light weight and is pretty comfortable no break in time

    My first pair of Terrain H20's made it just over two years, but the small rubber flap of the sole that extends up over the toe came loose on both boots and I glued them back in place with Shoe Goo twice. With the exception of the toe, they have worked very good including working on metal roofs at a 6/12 pitch. I have worn Timberland's for years, but could never get more than one year out of a pair of boots, so two years is great. I wear them six days a week as we are a volunteer construction ministry. I did send an email and some pictures to corporate Ariat asking them to consider stitching that rubber flap onto the toe. Very comfortable right out of the box.

    Wore my first pair almost every day for 4 years. They are still going strong! Upgraded to waterproof in my new ones. Everything about them is fabulous.

    Wow what a great idea. Boots that keep my feet dry and can be worn with half chaps, full chaps or in the wash rack. English or Western rider these boots will save your dress or show boots. Sorry Ariat I think "U" shot yourself in the foot with this one. Now my other 6 pair of Ariat boots will last longer. I should add all I wear is boots daily no shoes just boots.

    I love these boots! I wear them every day...they are my go to for work, riding, barn chores, lawn work....I even walk in them!! My recent purchase is the umpteenth pair I've owned and I got the waterproof this time because the morning dew can be heavy. That said, I was a little disappointed that the sizing between the reg and waterproof Terrains is slightly diff, with the waterproof running small. Luckily I have a shoe stretcher and was able to make it work, but I may not buy the waterproof again because of this. Or Ariat needs to make a Women's 10.5 in the waterproof to accommodate the size difference.

    I bought these boots in May of 23 and as a landscaper who both mows and runs a shovel from time to time these are not holding up. The toe wrap is peeling off, laces are too long from Ariat for this shoe. They can’t handle heavy dew at all. Once they’re soaked they’re soaked. Comfort is decent along with the support. Sole could be more aggressive to handle slopes better.

    These are my second pair of the H20 Terrain boots. First pair lasted many years before the sole started to separate. They are great for a barn shoe as muck doesn't get all into the treads. I like them for riding too (western)- better than your typical cowboy boot in my opinion. If you've ever had to get off your horse and walk over rugged terrain or walk a trail because of a hoof injury- you want comfort and security. These have fulfilled that need for both on and off the trail. For me, and to my surprise, I do not find these slick at all in the mud or snow and my feet stay dry the whole time. Good traction and comfort- what more can you ask for. My wife just recently bought her first pair too! She is also very satisfied.

    These are the most comfortable boots i ever got. They are better than sneakers. waterproof and insulated. This is my third pair, Very comfortable from day 1 and get better with each wear. I recommend this shoe. Happy you have them in black now.

    Comfortable Boots for the Price

    I got these a little over a year ago, and they have held up pretty well for an everyday boot. The break in time took a while, however after a week or two they fit well. The leather is solid, and definitely waterproof. It still holds up well. One caveat with these boots is the fake leather in the front, this material started ripping and breaking down after a few months. If you are looking for a casual every day boot for a reasonable price you can't go wrong with these. If you are working in a field that requires a lot of leg work in harsh conditions, I would go with something more sturdy and rugged.

    I bought these shoes 4 month ago and they are falling apart already,the toe is ripping open, I work detailing new homes where it"s dry and clean. when I did get caught out in the rain I found out they were not water proof .

    Bought this boot in women’s many years ago, loved them. Feet have grown, broken foot needed a bigger boot. These men’s extra wide boots fit like a glove. I can now wear socks. Broken foot is healed but needed the support these boots provide. They are water proof. Wonderful comfortable boot.

    I use mine for barn work since I need a boot with excellent arch support, that's comfortable, rugged and can stand up to the rigors of manure, etc. I would buy these again.

    I saw these and everything looked good for a substantial hiking boot. First pair worn for four years, all weather, all terrain. I still like them but bought a new pair as a spare. Very well made, never had wet cold feet, and no repairs at all. Hope No. 2 will be as durable and comfortable
