    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these at Big Time Boots in Nashville, and thank goodness I tried them on in person and had help from the staff for how a proper boot should fit. They run big as I wear a 10.5 in everything (sneakers, work boots, dress shoes), but in these boots I wear a full size smaller at a 9.5. If I had just ordered online I would have needed to return. They run small and on top of that I'm told as they break in you'll get another 1/2 size in room. As far as fit and feel, these things are awesome. I walked a good distance in them comfortably and they fit really nicely. I just about want to buy a backup pair I like them so much.

    I saw multiple reviews saying that the boot ran big, so I went in to the closest store location to find the right size for my first pair of boots. They do indeed run quite big(I wear a 10.5 in tennis shoes, but got a 9) but other than that these boots are great! They're comfortable, look great, and have been quite durable so far. I highly recommend them!

    I have to wear dress socks and the fit is perfect. These boots are awesome with a pair of wide leg dark jeans and a white graphic tee..attitude..I'm 6-2 so with these im 6-3/4...excellent quality...never seen anyone else with these...looking forward to fall to where again...great value.     Boots look good and felt good for about 2 months. Then they start to fall apart. I have to glue the soul back on the BOTH boots on the inside. My last pair lasted 2 years so I am very disappointed in these.

    I stressed over the sizing. Nothing against Sheplers, I just hate internet returns. I actually measured my foot and took a leap of faith. I'm usually a 10.5 and that's what the measurement said. They fit perfectly! Really comfortable for my first wearing, took em out for a spin the other day, no soreness at all. Won't take long to break these boots in at all. The shipped fast and arrived a day early. No complaints here at all. I'll shop Sheplers again for all my boots.

    I’ve had these boots for years and they hold up to anything you put them through. They are comfortable enough to wear all day without killing your feet. They even clean up nice when your going out with friends and black be used with any outfit. I like the fact the the top of the boot is not stiff so it won’t bow your pants legs out and it make for an easier time getting them on and off

My first ever pair of boots when I was 13 years old was a pair of grey ostrich with a dark blue upper Tony Lama boots. I wore those boots until they couldn’t be worn anymore, loved them. Now my second pair of boots ever at 56 years old is the Ariat Rambler. My nephew who is an Army Ranger was home visiting wearing these boots. They were well worn in Colorado and the leather was soft and still very healthy. I had to have a pair! I ordered them online which was a breeze and when I couldn’t wait for them to arrive. And they did in like 3 days, nice! I absolutely love these boots the comfort and style are fabulous and I wear them almost every day. I am looking for another pair, I missed wearing a good boot! I will definitely stick with the Ariat brand for sure. Thank you for making such a high quality and COMFORTABLE boot! Michael

    This is my second pair of Ariats - I also have the Midtown Rambler, and both pairs are awesome and run true to size. I bought them specifically to ride my Harley, and they do a great job protecting my feet. As others have said, they do well with both casual and work.

    I like the style, coloring, etc. as it was as advertised and as I hoped. However, the two boots do not seem to be the same size. My 'small' right foot which is almost a half size smaller than my left is barely fitting within the boot--tons of tightness over the top of my foot. 'Big' left foot feels great which means there's a half size difference in the toe box and on top of the foot. Trying to stretch them out--We'll see. First time in my life I've ever received a pair of boots/shoes with this much size difference.

    The 1st pair shipped, the right boot was MUCH more narrow than the left boot. The 2nd pair shipped were a PERFECT fit (I am a size 10 wide normally, I ordered a 9.5 wide in this boot). The only complaint is that they look REALLY WORN (not weathered or distressed) right out of the box. The leather looks cracked and WORN.

    I bought these for my husband, he wanted a nice square toed boot. I got on line to look, of course Shepler's was my first choice. I read all the reviews on these boots, and based on the good looks and good reviews I ordered them. My husband loves them! So do I! He wore boots years ago when we were first marryed, hadn't had any for years. Our neice was getting marryed with a country theme, hence the boots! Love them! Oh, my husband says they are very comfortable and were easy to break in.

    I have several pair of Ariat boots and these Rambler’s are about the most comfortable of all my Ariat’s..The reason for 4 stars is because insoles are not thick enough I have to order Memory foam insoles almost every time I order New pair of Ariat boots….They do run on large side compared to my Hybrid Ranchers and Hybrid Street Side even a little larger feeling compared to my Sierra Wide Square steel toe Boots

I am not normally a fan of western boots, but the store convinced me to give these a try and I am glad I did.     In general, I love these boots and think they are a good buy. Attractive design, well-constructed and durable. Look great with my blue jeans. My only reservation with this boot is sizing. After reading all of the reviews on this site, I decided to accept the advice of those who already bought the boot and ordered a 1/2 size smaller than what I usually take. I ended up with a boot that still accommodates my foot size comfortably but the boot is now tight to slip on and hurts the top of my foot. The fit is still tight after three weeks of wearing them; I had hoped that they would have relaxed and molded to my foot by now but they haven't. Despite what others recommend here, I should have just ordered my usual boot size after all. It looks like I'm going to have to take them to a shoe repair to see if these boots can be stretched. My recommendation to anyone considering this boot: ORDER THE SIZE YOU NORMALLY WEAR!

    Extremely comfortable material. I even wear short socks with mine and they have never caused blisters. Quick break in time and I have yet to replace the soles and I’ve had mine for 7 years now!

    The only thing I did not like about these boots is that the soles were manufactured to look like you walked through mud. If I want my boots to look dirty, I'll walk through mud myself. I don't want them to look like that coming out of the box.

    So this was the first cowboy boot I've ever bought, with money my first job got me. I've worn them everyday for 2 years... every single day. I'll never go back to any other shoe. These are so comfy and supportive, probably one of the best pairs of boots out there. After 2 years they got a little wear but I'm positive they'll last me another 2 years, all you have to do is put a coat of boot oil on them once a month and your ready to rock and roll!

    Only had my first pair of boots for a few weeks, but from day 1 they felt great. My feet were never sore. I have already broke them in at a couple brandings, pleasure riding, and a soaking wet trail ride. Couldn't be happier!

    I was very happy the the boot when I recieved them other than the sizing. The boot is looks great and appeared well made, although I have not gotten to wear them too much because of the sizing issue. The boots were approx 1/2 size to big. I ordered my normal sneaker size and the fit was very loose. Maybe even 1 size too big. They are supposed to fit loose at the begining, but not this loose. I returned them and requested 1/2 size smaller and hoping this is going to work. Just shipped them back 2 days ago and hopefully this is going to be a smooth process. Stay tuned!

My issues are after a long day working they don’t have a lot of forgiveness to the back and knees. To be absolutely fair they are western boots not work boots and maybe in a dirt area or a field where the ground is softer than asphalt and concrete they are perfect. I have had 2 pairs of these the first ones for 1.5 years and I forgot them in a hotel room and the second pair for over 3 years as daily wear in the field. They are super durable!! If it snows don’t wear them especially after a year or two of wear - the sole gets harder when cold and off you slide. Several times I have bruised my bottom, elbows and pride. Does that mean I won’t buy them again - no not at all. I am a gluten for punishment. I am in the market for another pair and it’s between the ramblers and the Chelsea. I just can’t find a store with the Chelsea to try on.

    I bought my ramblers a little over three years ago and I’ve worn them for work, hiking, fishing, and a lot of walking. So I wear them over 40 hours plus every week since I got them and I walk about 30 miles a week. I love these boots and they have just recently started to wear out they have a hole in the sole of one that I fixed with gorilla tape and super glue. As well as a few holes in the leather no doubt cause by the salt they use in Vermont and New Hampshire on the side walks in the winter. So I’m shortly gonna have to retire them and will definitely get another pair when my size comes back in stock. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of working boots.

    I have had my Ramblers ever sense my freshman year of high school and the have lasted me till senior year of high school. These boots have been through mud, muck, and water and still are holding up strong. They are definitely the best pair of boots ive owned and I will continue to buy them!!

    I have worn these boots for a very long time. They held up fairly well but the sole started to come apart from the boot and from there it just went down hill. They weren't really comfortable and a little big to begin with but still lasted a good while.

The boots are also extremely comfortable to wear. I wear a 13 and ordered these in 13D and they fit perfectly everywhere except for the heel. I have more slipping than I should. I went to a Sheplers store 45 miles away and the customer service there was excellent. They told me they'd let me return or exchange them right there are the store (I had all pkging and boots were mint). They had me try on all different size and style boots, but these ones fit the best. Turns out, I just have a very thin heel. Either way, I love these boots!

    I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas. He has been wanting them for a few months. boy they are worth the money! he wears them every chance he gets, and says they are more comfortable than his tennis shoes. He gets compliments on them everytime he wears them!

    I'm no cowboy, I don't even have a horse, but these boots are so comfortable, stylish and hard wearing it's untrue - they look great and feel great - and I just know they are gonna last for ages. I've been looking for some square-toe 'rough neck' style boots for a while and there is a definate lack of them around (particularly in the UK) - put simply, they are superb - 'stroll-on'.
