[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first cowboy boot and I love them, leather is very stiff at the beginning, especially in the vamp where your instep is, but it does break in eventually. The insole makes it a lot more comfortable then a traditional leather lined insole

First, I would like to direct my unique opinion to Beth Cross with the intention of reaching out to those who are looking for a good boot. You have my permission to remove this post if it is not worthy of Ariat's goals. My opinion is unique because I found these boots at a donation center. I was attracted to the western leather cut surrounded by the scoundrel castaway footwear with very little future. I first noticed the boot shaft was standing firm at the ankle. The leather was over dried and there appeared to be some cracking where the upper foot bends at the toe. The heel and soul were intact and without wear and in my opinion more that 99%. The size 9D was my foot size by the foot scale, but by most standards means nothing now day's. I rarely find a true size 9. I tried them on and they fit and walked quite well regardless of the dry out. I bought these boots and used my saddle and leather skills and began working the boots with concentration on the lower boot and toe bend to allow the leather to retain it's memory without using saddle soap and avoid the harshness of lye during the life saving process. it was at this time, I discovered these boots were of a high quality name brand Ariat. The restoration was a 100% success and my finished work was identical to the photo's online. I read a review of an owner of these boots that was not satisfied with the quality and it was his review that I felt compelled to write my review. It is important to know if a product can stand up to it's own name and I am reluctant to call those people nay sayers. There can be many factors that can cause the failure's demonstrated in those photo's. Ariat has the rebar line and the lime in concrete is known to cause stitch failure. Their rebar line has a distinct style to meet that standard. I am also reminded of a famous music company that moved it's sibling line to Asia and had a horrible problem with QC rejects being stolen and reassembled and then sold in auctions overseas, and then some that found their way to the U.S. market as counterfeit. I am not suggesting any of my opinions were the cause of those problems. I do understand quality leather. My background in quality leather began in 1965 in Huntsville Texas when I was 10 years old. My grandparents belonged to the Cattleman's Association where I began working the tail end of rodeo's. It was that summer that I met Luke Coffee and had the time of my life and the inspiration of a brand new dream. After I finished school I worked scrap yards and rail breakers and continued with metal fabrication and welding. I never lost my love for animals or doing a show and I have kept most of my boots that have traveled across this nation. Several of my boots have been restored to Saturday night specials and I have been told countless times "Thems good lookin boots!". If you love the pebble grain and stirrup reinforcement of the 10002227 Heritage Roughstock, the way I do, then don't hesitate. These boots are made to work all day and when the animals don't cooperate and make you work all night also, then you need the comfort that is equal to the ride of a Tennessee Walker.

Ordering was easy and we received them fast. I would order from Sheplers again. The only con is we had never ordered from Sheplers before and we were not sure if they fit true to size. We chose a 1/2 size larger, probably could wear hos true size. That was our mistake.

Great boots and look really nice glad I purchased them

I gave them as I gift to my husband a couple of years ago for the first time, and he won't get any other ones since! He loves them, the fit, the design and comfort are just what he needs.

Recieved my boots in 4 days after ordering. My second pair of boots from Shepler's. Put them on out of the box for a long night in downtown Nashville, Tn. Walking around downtown and heavy use on the dance floor and a show. Brought a backup pair just in case. Happy to report they were not needed. No break-in needed. Why can't all boot be made to this standard. Their are a lot of good boots out there but, untill you have tried Ariat, you don't know how a proper boot should feel.

I love this boot! It’s comfortable after the break in period of 2/3 wears for 3 or more hours. These are my go too stylish boots! People compliments these each time i wear them! The more i wear them, the better they look! You can’t go wrong with these

most comfortable boot I've ever owned. I have wider feet and have trouble finding anything that fits good even when ordering EE shoes and boots. These fit perfect. I have worn them everyday for almost 2 years and they have held up great. I will buy these again and again.

I bought these as a gift for my husband and he loved them. I went a half size up and they fit him perfect, They look even better in person. You can never go wrong with Ariat

Let me begin this review by thanking Ariat for this fine boot. When I opened the box and pulled the first boot out I held it up to light like baby simba in all of the craftsmanship. They are also true to the size chart as well. I do hate to say it takes about a solid month to ship to an APO.

Comfortable w/spur ledge on the heels, long heels to keep feet from sliding through your stirrups.

As always the product is well worth the price and always a quick response and fast shipment. I have and will continue to buy my boots here.

My first pair of boots and I love these things! I like the way these look. They are not very flashy but they stand out in a nice way. Solid boots and very comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and I don’t feel the pain with these.

It's a very heavy boot, with a very narrow toe box. I am unable to wear them because they hurt my feet so bad.

First pair of Ariat's. I bought them for snow-like conditions while being up north. These fit better than the square toe (and I don't like looking like others. Heel slip is/was more than I preferred, but I'm used to Lucchese. They are ok. I don't absolutely love them but I don't hate them. Leather seems good quality, or thick at least. My biggest complaint? ARIAT!!! Why the %^&* are you making your boots and clothing in China? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Hard to find a quality boot in my size. Size 6 mens. These were perfect. Great fit and great boot.

The boots looked like great quality and were stylish. Exactly what I wanted except I couldn't get my foot to fit in. I ordered my show size as recommended and I believe if I could get past the boot throat and get my foot in they would fit fine. I gave them to my son in law and he loves them. Boot Barn was a pleasure to deal with.

By far my favorite boot. Comfortable, and durable. I wish the heel would last longer but nothing lasts forever.

Had these for around 6 months, and were great, up until they started squeaking shortly after break in, then the cheap plastic welt started chipping off the heel. Everything else about them is great besides the squeak and plastic welt.

I wear a size 10 in all boots and shoes. These needed to be a half size smaller. There will be a break in period, there is a slight pinch on top of feet.

Because it was too big when my son tried it on, we will ship it back for a smaller size. Great customer service from Brian!

It's been a while since purchasing a pair of Ariat boots. This is my first pair of Square Toe boots. The are very comfortable for a guy wearing 9.5E width.

First time order on-line and all went smoothly. Good communication during shipping and satisfactory results.

Really great pair of boots. They are very stiff when brand new but have been breaking in very nicely. At the end of the day I think the long break in is worth it because just means the leather is that strong and durable. I have the heritage ropers as well and these feel much more heavy duty compared to those. I’ve never worn a pair of cowboy boots with this big of a heel but to be honest they don’t feel that different. Exceptionally comfortable anyone who knows Ariat comfort will be satisfied with these. Will buy again one day when they wear out but don’t think that will be for a while.

These are the best boots. We bought them for son for Christmas. This is his 4th pair in this style. He has worn them for everything from dressed for court to working on the tractor. A Great boot.

Size runs large. I had to exchange to 1 size smaller. The staff at the Boot barn in Orange were friendly and helpful. The boots are made with nice leather and workmen-ship outstanding.

Had a pair before lasted me two year of daily use till the leather split. Got this pair and first time in wet muddy snow and dye leached out and looked old and cheap. Oiled them up and they look a little better.

A little stiff day1 oiled them down real good by day 3 very comfortable.
