    these boots fit strait away no need to break them in!! very good to work or ride in, sometimes the laces are a pain! but overall they are great and all I have worn for over 10 years!

    toe too wide to catch stirrup - a good boot but i wouldn't ride in it - great for ground work but got to change if you are going to ride -

    basic issue, the toungue is not gusseted, IE its attached only at the bottom. Also no keeper loop on it higher up either to run the lases through. SO basically soon as you wal around the tounge ends up either scruntched down, or over to the sides with the laces digging into your ankle. Any moinsture in the front also runs into your sock. Horrible.

    I typically use the cascade work boot version of these in the winter time for the flatter sole and better traction in the snow. These are a much lighter version and make running around at work easier on my feet.

    I have been wearing this same style boot for a number of years now. It is the most comfortable one I have ever worn. I put hard wear on it and buy two pair per year.     These lace up work boots are extremely comfortable from the begiing They look broken in but still attractive and sharp. The laces keep your foot from moving around inside the boot: great for those with foot problems.

    I bought a pair of these Ariat Heritage Lacers two years ago. By far the most comfortable riding boots I have ever worn. Great comfort from the first wearing. I will be getting another pair when these are worn out.

    I'm 13EE and no shoe alive fits me. Even with the Heritage shoes, I need orthotics like SuperFeet. The Ariats run wide. The English paddock shoes ran narrow. With SuperFeet these are wearable all day and quite comfortable. They need to be broken it--an annoying process that is worth it.

    Since Justin decided to discontinue the Bay Apache Lace Up Roper with the leather sole, I had to look at what was available. The Ariat's were the closest I found. I have very wide feet so I was concerned they wouldn't be wide enough. Well my concerns turned out to be for not. The Ariats fit like a glove and are as comfortable if not more so than then Justins. Definitely pleased with my selection. Will buy more in the future. Another concern I had was the appearance near the "neck" of the boot as it looked unfinished. That's just the picture. They are just as finished as all other lace-up ropers I've owned.

    The Ariat's feel great and are really comfortable. For the first time I have a cowboy style boot that doesn't feel too loose or cut the circulation in my feet. I've been breaking them in and can't wait to use them for Cowboy Shooting. They (Ariat Men's Heritage Lacer cowboy boots) truly are a boot with the authentic look from the late 19th century and the comfort of today. Thanks.

    Nice lightweight, comfortable boots with good ankle support. Great for both riding and walking. Wish they were available in a narrower size, but no real complaints.

    Like I say...Do better? I don't think so. The truth is these boots are so comfortable and stylish you can wear them with almost anything. I have worn my black ones with dress suits and even a tuxedo and gotten nothing but positive responses. Comfort, as well as stability, is essential to me because I am a BK amputee who is very active. The boot is not too heavy so late in the afternoon I am still able to keep up with everyone around me (I teach high school so I have to stay on my toes.) My daughter bought a pair when she went into the Junior Police Academy and the Policemen giving the class were so impressed with the look and durability they asked me where they came from. You can expect more orders.

    Been wearing mine for a couple of days, look great, I have gotten so many compliments on them, even with all the scuff marks they have so far. Something I didn't except was that they are also extremely comfortable to wear, definitely a pair of shoes way worth the money I paid, If you are thinking of buying these shoes, they look great, are extremely durable, and will do your feet good!

    I've owned several pairs of the Ariat Heritage Lacer. I finally ordered on line after visiting several Boot Barn store over a course of two months. I'm suprised that these boots are no longer stocked in stores.

    These run very narrow like most ariat western boots. I wear 11 in barnyards , endurance shoes, sneakers, double H boots, but had to order these in a wide to get a normnal size 11 fit. Decent support in stirrups,and dont flop around and rub calfs like pull on western boots. These are going in the fail pile though. I cant stand wet feet and even with waterproofing dressing, walk in dew wet grass in the morning and your socks are soaked. Basically I hate them.

    I love these boots, and have been wearing them for 20 years. I only had a problem once a few pairs ago with the stitching around the heel piece of leather seeming to disintegrate on both boots. But a shoemaker stitched it up and away I went.

    I bought these boots online thinking they would be like the old Justin Rooer lace ups, nothing like them, even the picture is misleading! These boots looks like street boots made by Fubu or something. They don’t even look like a cowboy boot, terrible!

    Purchased for Xmas for my son , third pair purchased, these are his preferred riding boot of choice as a bull rider on the ARA circuit here in Australia. We have found these to be very durable, comfortable and take a hiding without falling apart or losing their appearance. This is in our experience, typical of Ariat products and we will continue our preference for the brand. Incidently, these boots appear to breathe well, an important criteria in our hotter sub tropical climate!

    I love the boots and the sale price was great. They fit very well and are very comfortable. Laceups let you really fit properly. The quality of an Ariat Boot is excellent. I am very happy as they were a Christmas present.

    I recently bought this boots and I love them, they look good, fit good and I would buy another pair. The lace ups are easier for me to get on, and cannot find them in the Boot Barn store we have . I am thinking of getting a black pair.

    Love these boots! They look just like the picture, and fit great. Could be worn for work or for dressing up. They made my feet a little sore at first, but they break in pretty quickly. Definitely recommend.

    Ariat Heritage lacer boots are the best boots I have owned. First pair of Ariat lacers was in 2000. Have not had any other brand of boots since. They wear amazingly well. And are most comfortable boot I have found. The inner sole really cushions your foot. The heel weres like iron. And the uppers are easy to maintain. This is my third pair of the natural color. I also have this same boot in black for dress. I do not have any sports shoes so wear these for everything. And they hold up for several years. The best part is when the boots do were down a little from everyday wear, I put them in my chore boot category and end up wearing them another four years for farm chores in dry weather. Still goin'. Excellent product.

    I started wearing Lacers in 1996, first Justin now Ariat. This is my 5th or 6th pair of these. I have a high arch and as much as I like Stockmen, Lacers have always worked for me. Comfortable boots when you are on your feet a lot.

    My husband bought a pair of these boots about 8 years ago on a trip to US. He was very pleased with the fit, comfort and durability. So when they finally wore out I ordered him another pair via Sheplers. And they arrived in a matter of days!     I searched all of the western-wear stores in two states without finding these on the ground. I hoped they wouldn't run small and ordered them short (my foot is right between a 9.5 and a 10). They fit comfortably; this is a heavy-duty boot and it was painfully stiff the first week. The comfort of the soles, however, and the way they feel once they're broken in make them well worth the money. The pair of Ariats I had before worked well for over a decade of grueling dairy, construction, and truck driving work in all kinds of weather and on all types of surfaces. I can't say enough good things about this boot.
