    I bought these for work and it seems like one boot is tighter than the other. That’s is probably why I wouldn’t give it 5 star. I tried wearing thinner socks but it’s just so uncomfortable

    Returned them. They run way too narrow and they look and feel like a walmart boot .Not even full leather. Maybe the workhog line is of better quality. Thanks but I'll stick with justin.

    I've had these boots two years wearing almost daily. On concrete floors at my shop, in the mountains or around my country home doing chores, these have held up well. Well worth the money. Just ordered another pair and these just got a new coat of leather preservative and becoming full time chore boots. These fit my feet and are my favorite Ariats I've worn yet. Thank you !

    I asked if these are basically true to size compared to Nocona, Justin and redwing and got a quick response from Ariat. Days later these came in and wore them through the weekend and right straight to work on Monday. These do not disappoint. Quick easy break in and super comfortable, seriously wear them all day. My feet have been hurting for awhile now and when I paired these with the tactical Darn Tough socks…..now it’s all good.

    Awesome Boots, I was reluctant to purchase Boots on line or shoes of any kind for that matter just because ya need to try them on. I took a chance and it worked out great. Boots fit perfectly and very comfortable. I love them, wore them all day at work (Truck Driver) with no problems. Good quality product and I will order from them again.

    Our property (Hawai’i) is hilly and covered with rocks (decomposing basalt). The sole design provides great traction and the sizing is perfect! Very comfortable and provides great security while working.

    I have owned a number of boots over the years. The list includes top brands and high end boots. I have have wolverine work boots which I loved and were very comfortable but only lasted so long. Trust me, I am hard on a pair of boots. These Boots - Ariat Groundbreaker Work Boots - I have owned for 5 years.. no that is not a typo. 5 Years for a single pair of boots and they are starting to finally see the sunset of their life. They have a low profile heal which is why I bought them in the first place as this is what I prefer but if you are looking for a good boot, please give these a try. I am going to the store to get my next pair and I am gonna buy these again.

    I've had my boots for almost 3 years now. It's high time I get a new pair. But first I gotta give a huge thumbs up to Ariat. I'm a feed hauler. I drive trucks all day and then get out and trudge around the farms before going home to do my own farmwork. They're comfortable in the truck. They're supportive In the field and they're protective in the shop. Standing in 6 inches of cow manure or a puddle of oil and these boots hold up without fail. Around a year and a half into owning them the faux leather strip where your heel slides on entry and exit started to rip and come off. No biggie just stick a finger in there and hold it down. Other than that they've taken some serious abuse and kept on going. Got run over by a semi grossing 92,000lbs without a problem. Kept me dry when the farms all flooded and I still had to get out and deliver the feed through 6 inches of water. And stayed comfortable for 14+ hours in a truck with endless gear changes. It's been 3 years now and they're starting to fall apart. (2 years past what I expected them to last). They're a little loose and floppy. They are currently filled with a nice cocktail of manure, mud and silage infused water. But after three years if HARD abuse I can say with absolute confidence these are the best boots I've ever owned.

    I have owned these boots for over a year. Almost every day of the week. Hoping that they would stretch out in the toes. But sadly, with the extra piece of leather that is in the toe. They have disform my little toe. Beyond that they feel wonderful, and they are great boots. They really need wider H or EEEE sizes for wide feet people. I did buy the EE wide boots. Beyond that the leather is wearing well. I do not normally have traction problems or slipping on the ground or wet surfaces with them.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unlike many work boots these were not heavy clod-hoppers. They were surprisingly light with a softer type of rubber sole that doesn’t clunk around on every surface that you walk on. The sole which has a 1inch heel also makes it more comfortable for the knees when doing a lot of walking on concrete and asphalt. The wide toe box gives plenty of room for the feet but also makes the boot a little larger than normal. I found I had to go 1/2 down from what I normally buy in boots and I have normal to slim D width feet. The leather on the shoe part seems thick and stand up well to constant knocks and friction at work. The boot is fairly breathable, I did not buy the water proof, and my feet do are not getting overheated in the hot and humid summers. Agin the weight of the boot is nice and light. I barely know I have boots on my feet through the day. A handsome, comfortable, but tough boot for work. I am happy with my purchase.

    First pair I bought fit pretty good and were comfortable. They lasted about 10 months till the sole melted off from standing on the asphalt. The second pair I bought never fit right and started falling apart after a week.

    Boot wear good. but last pair I had to reglue soles and heals on both pair for some reason. They are coming apart again, in less than a year.. Ordered new boots the same..and couldnt even get my foot into them.. Everything same ! Returned for on full size bigger.. new ones are little too big.. but not going to return a 3rd time.. Takes way too long and much problems. Will be my last time ordering from Ariat.. No one knew what the other person did.. Boots came to my house , when they said they would be shipped too store..

    Great fit (true to size) and comfort. I work on ladders all day and the shank is VERY helpful, it is hard to find cowboy boots with a shank. I get many compliments from coworkers and people I come across during work. Will definitely buy again once these need to be replaced.

    I ordered this for a Christmas present and it arrived super fast...within a few days of ordering it. Looks great. Can't wait for my son to open it.

    I have owned three pairs of this same style. I wear a 12D in all. This last pair I ordered was way to tight over top of my foot. Leather although I liked look , did not reflect the picture in website. It was darker and appeared to have more sheen/polish. All past pairs have fit like a glove, this last pair was just a tad too tight, and did not loosen enough so either the leather used did not meet normal spec or was cut a tad too much or sewn a bit too tight. I normally wear 13 but in my past three boots the 12D has fit like a glove.

    I have been wearing Ariats for over 10 years. Fell in love with a pair of lace ups and have never looked back. These have been my go to boot for the last 5 years. And let me tell you I work my boot hard everyday. I put them through everything from mud, water, oil, hydraulic fluid, and pretty much anything else that needs to be done. I can clean them up after a hard day on the job and wear them out to a nice place for dinner. I bought these about a year and a half ago. They have a few more miles in them but they are rough now. Never had any leaks, sore feet, blisters or chafing. I highly recommend these if your looking for an everyday boot that’s light but can get the job done.

    I really want to love these. Normally a 10 in most shoes, size 9 for steel toes and composite boots. The 9 in these was far too big so I sized down to an 8.5. The 8.5 length is perfect but the toe box crushes the top of my foot. Have tried breaking in for the past two weeks, but after about 2 hours they become unbearable. Otherwise, I am really impressed with the stitching and materials in these

The ladies boots on sale were not anything I’d wear, so I looked through the men’s boots. I found a winner! These are some of the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever worn! I wear these all weekend long when working on our ranch (10-12 hour work days) — no blisters, no scrunched toes, no leg fatigue. They are comfortable & supportive!

    I got these a little over two weeks ago and wore them every day since to work and otherwise and why are these like the Cadillac the boot world. Wore these for a little over 16 hours a few days I didn’t experience any issues with pain in my feet so all in all I’m very happy with my purchase.

    These boots are awesome. I wear them all the time. They are great daily wear boots and great work boots. I’ve worn these boots on the farm, walking through the woods, and in the welding shop. They’re holding up great. My only complaint is that they have no traction in the snow.

    The boot itself was great quality, but the boot on the box that is a lighter brown and what I received was not the same. They are super super dark.

    All around a pretty good boot. They are my work boots and play boots- I don't have another pair of shoes. Weddings, funerals, whatever. I beat boots up for a living. I live in Ohio and we have muddy spring, warm summers and cold winters. They have seen quite a bit of mud, salt, water, and ice. These boots did have the soles and leather crack a little, but not enough to let water in yet. That said, The soles still have tread. I pick out the big chunks of mud/muck out with a pocket knife and let the rest be. If it cant be knocked off with a boot scraper then it stays. They lasted a year with no special care. The leather is breathable enough to not give me swamp foot. I did have to add some arch support inserts, but that may just be my feet.

    They lie about the speed at which they ship your items. They say, order now and item will be shipped today. Don’t believe it. Mine didn’t ship out for five days.

    These were my second pair of Ariat boots. My first pair were from the Workhog line, but the particular model (square soft toe) was discontinued. After more than 2 yrs of continuous wearing, I really wanted to get another pair. Since that wasn't going to happen, I tried these. The difference in the 4LR and ATS system wasn't an issue. Both are comfortable. There are only two things that I feel keep these from a 5 star review. One is that the boots have an almost wax like finish which scuffs easily. The second item is that, in my opinion, the transition from the shaft to the top of the foot isn't roomy enough. Perhaps they'll break-in after a few more weeks of use, but right now, they are too tight at this point. Socks make a difference in how boots feel, but I am wearing the same lightweight wool sock from SmartWool in both these and the Workhogs. All in all, it is still a nice affordable workplace boot.

    I've been buying Ariats for years and love all their boots. I've had the similar boot groundbreaker in round toe and loved them! wanted to get the square toe this go round. One thing i will add, the square toe seems to run a hair larger compared to the round toe style, but i believe that is just the style difference. Overall, l love the boots!

    Everything about thing boot is fine except for the inside material that binds up on my heel when I try to slip the boot on. I know they’re not too small because the one time I got them on they were more loose than any other boot I’ve had. I tried putting some foot powder in there as well so that moisture wouldn’t be a problem and it didn’t change a thing. It’s just the synthetic inner lining and I literally cant put my new boots on anymore.

    Where can I begin, The Groundbreak work boots are exactly, what I needed for my 2nd Job, working in concrete the ground levels are always different, but with these Boots it didn't change in comfort, they lasted up until I got home. My personal opinion is a must purchase to experience that comfortability, when I got home my feet didn't hurt or feel worn down.

    Good looking boot overall. Seemed comfortable. However, I ordered an 11 and it fit big. I wear an 11 no matter the shoe or brand. I have three other pairs of Ariat boots size 11. Will try a 10.5

    I bough these boots a month ago. They wear great right out the box. The soles are excellent for walking on roofs and around jobsites. The exterior appearance is also great for casual/business dress (at least until you beat them up)

    First pair of square toe boots I’ve ever bought. And I really like them. The only issue I’ve noticed is that my right boot is noticeably tighter on the top portion of my foot. And causes the outside of my big toe to go slightly numb. But my left boot fits perfect, nice and snug. Not sure if the right boot had something different happen during production or if my foot is shaped different than my left. I just need to stretch it out and rub some conditioner on it. Either way the boot is quality, and I love wearing them. And I’m happy with the purchase. Only reason for me rating it a four is due to the fitment of the right boot.
