[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the groundbreaker Chelsea with high hopes. I had heard nothing but good things about Ariat boots and the Chelsea looked great. When I first got them they felt pretty good. I was working on a research boat and after long days, the balls of my feet ached, so I got some more comfortable insoles, which kind of helped but I still had horrible discomfort. My toes would get numb and my feet would stay wet. I have never hated a pair of boots as much as these. The tread wore down and the steel in the toe exposed after just two months. On my last day on the boat, I tossed them. I didn't even consider bringing them home.

The boot itself was fine however it didn’t fit so I returned it and I am now waiting for my refund.

I bought a half size larger in a wide. Thinking the leather would stretch out a little. I wore them for one week and they rubbed raw spots on my big toes and little toes.! I’m about to have to buy something else. Very disappointed, always heard Ariat boots were so comfortable!

I had high hopes for these boots but after 8 months of work around the farm they are going in the garbage and my feet couldn't be happier. When I purchased the quality felt nice. Wasn't 100% sure about comfort but decided to start wearing and breaking them in anyway. Overall they were the most secure Chelsea style boot I've ever worn, no heel slipping, etc. However after a few weeks they didn't get much better across the ball of my foot and were rubbing my toes in an awkward way. I just chalked it up to break in. I should have ditched them then. I continued to wear until I started getting numbness in my left foot. By that time the leather looked like it had been rode hard and put up wet and the soles had chunks missing out of them from working on dirt and gravel. For the price point and brand reputation I'm very disappointed. Won't be recommending or purchasing Ariat again.

Nice boot but the steel toe is to small for my toes to fit into. I have normal man size feet but even size E or W doesn’t change the steel toe area. This won’t work for me since I’m on my feet all day.

I’ve been wearing the square toe equivalent for several years and decided to try the round toe to help me when I’m climbing or it tight spaces at work. While I find the fit finish and comfort to be the same, this is absolutely not as wide as the square toe which I’ll be returning to. Admittedly this problem is on me but my expectation was that the same style boot in the same size would fit closely to it’s square toe counterpart which it does not. More of a fyi if you’re swapping like I did.

I have come to realize almost all work boots if its your sole pair last right around the 1 year mark then its time to get new ones. These are comfortable from day one and I highly recommend them. Love the slip on so you don't have to deal with laces. Usually what fails on these are the separation from boot to sole. I will be purchasing my 3rd pair. Love these boots.

I bought these boots almost a year ago, and they are just as comfortable, still in great shape, everything I have always wanted in a boot I found here, I do wish I ordered wide, but for my foot its so close it’s no big deal, I will continue to only buy ariat boots from now on, even compared to a higher end work boot I have bought in the past, this boot outperforms that boot in every way and is almost half the price.

When I first got them they were a little tight on the tops of my foot but they have loosen and become very comfortable for all day wear. A few colleagues commented on them and asked and then one of them actually went and bought a pair for himself! When these wear down, if they do I will definitely be buying another pair.

I have gotten a lot of compliments on them when going out for drinks with coworkers and have been very pleased with their comfort during the long days at work. I can stand in them for hours on end and don't feel tired, unlike with some of my other boots. My only complaint would be that they aren't the lightest, but that is to be expected with steel-toed boots. Would buy again and definitely recommend to a friend.

I have had these boots for one year now, and have probably worn them at least 5 days per week since. These are the comfiest, most durable, versatile boot that I have ever owned. If I new these were ever discontinuing I would literally buy three pairs.

After 18 months of wear the sole finally started separating from the upper. They’ve been extremely comfortable and convenient. Sole has held up well and I would argue they are some of the most comfortable boots I’ve worn however the adhesive wearing out in less than 2 years is disheartening for this reason they get 3 stars

Shoe runs narrow it crushed my toes together. Soul of shoe began to separate from leather uppers after only 3 weeks of working.

I was hesitant about this purchase due to the issues I’ve had with steel toe boots in the past. I took them out of the box and put them on and left for work with a backup pair of shoes. I am on my feet and constantly walking and never had a more comfortable shift. Great boots.

I WORK FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFFENCE, I DO ALOT OF WALKING,CLIMBING AND BEING ON MY FEET ALOT IN DIFFERENT ENVIROMENTS, ONE OF THE BEST BOOTS TO GRACE MY FEET.

These are the most comfortable work boots I have ever owned. You definitely get what you pay for!

At 260lbs walking on concrete for 12+ hours, these performed less than desirable. Soles are pretty thin so after about the first 2 weeks, they are done when the shoe breaks in. Will swap soles and hope for the best

Purchased a pair for work wore them for about 2 -3 months and the Steele toe cap moved and or dropped and started to irritate and cut my feet so I could no longer wear them had to switch back to my old boots

Great work boot!! Only issue is size difference. I am a size 11.5 in all other shoes but when it comes to the Ariat work boot I am a 10.5. If you’re unsure I would recommend visiting a local shop opposed to ordering online and receiving a boot that does not fit! Love the boots, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good looking work boot. I’m exciting to have these for the years to come!

So I was looking for a leather boot just past the ankles to help dealing with morning dew and being in lawn care after 1 or 2 lawns I would have soaked socks for the day. I tried brunt and their boots were really tight around the ankle lower calf muscle just didn't meet my needs so tried these and they work great no more wet socks or foot issues. Summer heat didn't slow me down I out the work insoles from a competitors insoles these boots and pull 9 to 12 hr days no issues

They are comfortable and good material but after only about 2 1/2 months of me wearing them the steel toe came out of place and started bruising my toes so I had to buy a whole new pair I’m not sure if it was just manufactured wrong because it hasn’t happened in previous boots I really liked these boots but unfortunately I can no longer wear them or buy anymore for this reason

Hard to find Quality, Comfort, and Value in a work boot. Four years with the first pair they could probably go another four but it’s time. Would recommend without hesitation.

So far so good... No break in period and very comfortable... The color is darker than in the pic and they run a little narrow. I usually wear a D, but had to go with a EE. Other than that I love the boots.

Well constructed, great looking boot. they run a little short and narrow, but as larger and wider sizes are offered, this isn't an issue.

I purchased these for my Grandson-in-law as a Birthday gift. He was looking for a good work boot without laces. His work keeps him outside so he needed the waterproof and steel toe. I asked him how he like them and he loves them. Perfect fit.

I took a chance with these and wow! Typically boots are uncomfortable but these are fantastic I’ve had them for 4 months now and they haven’t lost any elasticity in the bands, they slip on easy but still have incredible ankle support.

I have put these boots through absolute hell. They scuffed up on the first day because I accidentally dropped a brick on my foot. After 3 years the front leather is started to peel off because of daily abuse. Water is starting to get inside. These boots are comfortable, needs new padding now. I walk on average 3.5 miles mon- Fri on these(would but again). Looking to switch it up those time. Looking for something more that fits my style and age. I’ll add a pic when I get the chance. 4 stars because I want an ankle/waterproof/steal toe/slip on boot with more style and of my age.

I am an NC Programmer and Mfg Engr so I spend a lot of time in the shop on my feet. we no longer have wood block floors and the platforms are steel. since the company started requiring I have been struggling with the discomfort of most safety shoes. I am in my 70s, have a bad knee, and 245 pounds so I need good support. this is the first safety shoe I feel comfortable in since Dunham discontinued the Lawrence safety shoe, I think these also give me better support on my ankles. they do not pinch anywhere, the steel cap doesn't cut against my foot. I like this style because it helps me keep my bad knee straight when I walk.

These are the least comfortable boots I've owned. I should have returned them because I thought they would break in, but too late now. Run vary narrow (I have the same size in other Ariat boots that are great). I would not recommend these ones.

These boots are more comfortable than my non-safety toe footwear! I especially commend the generous padding and supple feel as these boots are clearly designed for all-day comfortable working. It was especially generous of Ariat to send a free keyring to all customers who register their product.

My last pair lasted just about two years before they got to a point where I need some new ones. They aren't falling apart either, just the insole has become worn and the treads aren't as sharp anymore.

Comfortable from the moment I put them on. My go-to is the midtown rambler from Ariat but needed a little more traction and EH rating. These are perfect for my application. Everything Ariat I own is top notch, highly recommend. I wear a 9 in Nikes, Ariat is an 8 for me.

These are extremely comfortable, and also provide excellent protection. I forget that I have them on!

First time buyer, very satisfied, didn't take long to break them in, comfortable. The best thing is there are no laces will buy these boots again.

These boots are very well made, however I would recommend buying true to fit or possibly half size up. Bought my usual boot size (half size down from usual shoe size) and thought it was just a case of breaking them in but had to take them off after a day and a half of wear because they were crushing my toes. Would probably be a five star, but can't speak to a proper fitting boot.

The insoles comfort level is 10/10. I have wide feet with a slight arch and I purchased my boots wide and they fit perfectly without having to break into them. The outsoles are good quality and it feels very sturdy. The previous boots I wore before purchasing these were not good during the rainy season. My socks ended up getting soaked at the end of my shift. These boots kept my feet dry even when stepping in big puddles of water. I wanted a pair of boots that I can slip off & on easily but at the same time, feels pretty snug and not loose and these boots provides that for me. By far these are the best pair of work boots that I’ve ever purchased.

The boot looked lovely. but had a fit issue for me where my heel had too much movement. That is the fault of my thin feet and not the fault of the boots. they were so nice I wish they had worked for me.
