    I knew what I wanted. These pants fit me. I can kneel, squat, whatever and they don’t split open. They are very durable. There’s no comparison to blue jeans. And, my cell phone fits in the side pocket.

    I got 2 pair of these pants at Christmas plus a pair of the more expensive brand. The Dickies pants stand up to the same punishment, wear just as comfortably and are right at half of the price. Needless to say, that is the last pair of the expensive work pants I’ll ever own.

    I have been wearing Dickies carpenter pants for years. I can be hard on clothes and these hold up pretty well to abuse. When the leg fronts get holes in them, they turn into shorts and patch material. Good clothes.

    Fabric material is very good. Construction is kind of cheap, belt loops and pocket seams all frayed and not trimmed up. Great for a work pant. Price was good, but you get what you pay for.

    These are just good work pants. They are very comfortable and last a long time. They're able to handle the rigors of day to day work on construction sites, plants, and industrial and commercial facilities. I am 6ft tall and weigh a hundred and ninety pounds. I wear 34 x 34 and they fit extremely well.

    Love these pants but they are a little too long. There are no lengths shorter than 30". If you could look into lengths of 28" or 29" that would be great and some of us will not have to incur additional cost to have them altered.

    I bought a couple pair of these a few years ago. They are still in great condition, so I though I better get a couple more. The side pocket (tool, ruler, cell phone) on the right side are different on one pair. My phone won't fit, it does in the other three pairs. Kind of disappointed in that.

    Ordered 4 pair canvas carpenter's pants. All 40"W ~ 30"L All four pair were indeed 40" waist, but only one was close to 30" long. 4 different lengths from 31" to 34". To avoid time and trouble returning 3 pair I just hemmed them all up to 30". They are fine now . . one of my favorite heavy duty work pants.

    These pants have withstood the test of time…. I have compared with other “big” names. I wear them every day for work. They hold up exceedingly well, feel and look good. Have had a rare sizing issue, but minimal. If you work for a living, look no further.

    I got these for my son. He normally wears a 34x32 in regular jeans. Bought this size and they were a tad big in the waist and too long to keep. Exchange for 32x30 haven’t gotten them yet. Seem durable and not too stiff like typical duck type clothing. He said when he tried them on that they were “comfy”.

    I've been wearing these pants for work for over a decade. I've tried a number of similar pants by several other manufacturers but none are cut the way the 1939 pants are. The roomy legs and crotch are unmatched. I do think that they're slightly thinner than they used to be but I'm still very pleased with them. Please don't change or discontinue them, there's no substitute.

    I’ve been buying and replacing Dickies carpenter pants for about 10 years now, this is the first time i had to return a pair. The 4 pair of pants from my order didn’t come close to fitting when i tried them on. When i took them off the new pants i immediately put my older Dickies pants back on, all of my older 32x32 pants still fit fine. Idk what happened to the sizing with this batch but there was no problem with the return.

    These jeans will last forever! Thick and stiff, and will take a few washings to break in. They DO fade, (a shame with the black) but they rest above the waist, so no constant pulling them up, or flashing your butt crack when bending your knees. They fit like the pictures show.

    I like these jeans for winter wear. The relax fit allows me to wear thermal underwear. I do a lot of welding and mechanical repair during the winter and the relax fit allows me to stoop and squat with greater ease.

    I bought these for work and wasn’t sure what up expect. These are the best pants ever. They are very durable and comfortable. I bought one size larger than I wear in jeans and I am glad I did because they are so durable there isn’t much give. I would recommend Dickies to anyone who needs great pants.

    One star? Look at the title. So I pulled out a couple of pairs of the same size, same pant, to see if it was just me or if the sizes were really off. They are within a couple of inches, yes, but it's annoying that you just have to know that getting your correct size depends on you having to go try them on instore somewhere and be limited to what's on the shelf in that store. Buying online? Get yourself a good belt.

    Worn for a few weeks so far. I install all kinds of flooring and seem like they will hold up longer. Only complaint is the sizes run small usually wear a 36 waist in the original blue dickies, but these feel like 34 waist making the pocket almost impossible to put a phone in. They usually loosen up after awhile though

    Bought for work. Extremely stiff and I can’t fit my hands In the pockets. The fit is fine it’s just the pockets are so tight that my hands don’t fit inside. And I by no means have large hands. Disappointed in this product.

    Always love my Dickies, these are the only pants I wear. Maybe 2 pairs a year? Anyway, went back to double check I bought the same I always do, which I did. Feels a bit looser than normal, but still great as always. Maybe I should have got a different cut then relaxed fit, but that is what I always do.

    When I worked for the City, we wore Dickies work pants. They were comfortable as well as durable. Now that I'm retired, I continue to wear the same work pants that we wore at work, for the same reason.

    I purchased these relaxed pants for work because I love the how they last.The other 5 pair I purchased though dickies.com was about 3 years ago and I'm still wearing them but I went ahead and got me 5 more while they was on sale.I wear only dickies pants for work and pleasure.every pair I have purchased has been true to fit just a little long witch I don't mind.I love dickies cause they hold up and they stay true to color

    Bought a couple pairs for work wear as I was slowly ruining my everyday jeans. Wish I would have found these sooner. They seem to be constructed well and should hold up for awhile. Comfy enough after I got used to the stiffer feel. I plan on buying more. Great for EDC as well.

    Look and feel good, but the side pockets are useless. The top one is sewn almost completely shut and the bottom one is so narrow that is barely fits a pen.

    Love my OLD Dickies carpenter jeans but this new pair has gone astray. I.E. the waist is way low for us men. The pockets are too small to get your hands into & out. ℹ donating to Paralyzed veterans and maybe some young lady can use them 🤠 Can not buy these until they get the sizing corrected. The material is just right but somebody screwed up the fit for real men.

    Not sized correctly! Bought two identically sized pair of this style and one pair was 1-2 inches smaller in the waist. Lousy quality control and a waste of resources. We sent the incorrectly sized pants back.

    Durable carpenter jeans that usually last me an entire year of heavy use. These are the thicker version of their carpenter variety that are resistant to tearing and knife cuts. Also the thick fabric is helpful in cold weather. These tend to be a little pricier than other varieties but for how long they last it is more than worth it.

    I bought these for my husband for work and with in the first week both pairs had tears and holes from poor quality. They also rubbed his skin raw behind his knees. I was really hoping they’d be an affordable, quality option, but not for us.

    These are my go to pants as a salesman in the construction trade. Never a problem with quality. Tough enough to get in the dirt but look nice enough to call on customers.

    Got tired of my denim carpenter jeans prematurely wearing at the knees and even through the denim on the side that I carry my pocket knife. Duck wears better than denim and these have just as comfortable a fit. My only complaint would be that the front pocket openings are small even for my medium sized hands. Overall, a good value.

    Let me start by saying I love these jeans and I have been wearing this model for decades but the quality control with the sizing is poor. The customer service is wonderful. So, with that said, if you want to own these jeans you must be able to try them on. Most of the retailers around me have stopped carrying the duck cotton and have gone over to the flex material. Forget the flex material, its horrible for working class guys. I have started looking at the other brands. I know Dickies does not want hear that but they must create access to trying the jeans on.

    When it comes to Quality there is not another brand on the market that even come close to Dickies clothing line. I've never had a pair of carpenter duck jeans that fit so comfortably. And the material is top-notch and very durable. I purchased one pair in each color. These are an excellent substitution for chino pants and can be worn for work or for play your choice.

    Been wearing my dickie carpenter pants for 6 years. I find them rugged, very comfortable and are just getting worn in! My only complaint is the right leg tool pocket needs to be slightly wider (1/4”) wider to accommodate my cell.

    Comfortable fit, slightly snug but gives a little after some wearing. Fabric is soft not stiff like brand C. Wife installed a button hole in the left back pocket with her sewing machine and sewed on a button to keep my wallet secure. Would have been nice to have that from the factory. Other than that all is good. Super comfy, glad I got 2 pair.

    I bought the men's version of the duck carpenter pants in my equivalent size (30x30) and the fit was not good. The crotch rode up and the legs were short. I went back and bought women's size 8 in Dickies and they fit a bit on the loose side, but I can live with that.

    You don't make it easy to order these items on your web site. it appears you are going the way of all other function clothing providers. Broaden your perspective on what is functional clothing (not fashion) and make the line reflect functional or working clothing. Once there was a highly recongnized outfitter, LLBean great stuff, absolute product support. Today they suck!!!!!!

    I ordered straight from the tag of another pair of new pants I purchased. Received the 4 pairs in mail tags didn't match and pants that I ordered didn't say duck like the tag said on other and actual tag on pocket didn't match. They where heavy stiff ones not the light ones I ordered from. But had no time to return needed them to travel for work

    Inconsistent sizing, poor quality control. I own several other pairs of Dickies and am the same size and fit in all other Dickies pants. Apparently they use different measuring methods for each pair of these because they all fit VERY different. Returned for refund.
