Carhartt Women's Sandstone Active Jacket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 210.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would have been perfect, but showed wear at 6 months. I bought this jacket in plum for winter up here in NY (my husband bought the men's line of this jacket). While I was expecting some wear from wearing, I did not expect the inner cuff stitching to tear from the seam during one winter season on both sides when the most extreme activity I may do with it is shovel out the car. The holes meant water could seep in and left the inside soaked. I loved my jacket until then but now I have to purchase another winter jacket and it will not be this particular model. My husband's jacket is still perfectly fine and he wears it daily now for the second season. It is possible I may have just gotten a rare defective jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome jacket great coat ,use it daily in the winter. lasts well and keeps out the cold. it's also a great rain jacket believe it or not- the hood is just like havin somethin plastic over your head-you hear and feel the rain on your head, but it doesn't get through to you the zipper will occasionaly give you some problems, but it always seems to fix itself! anyway-buy this coat anytime and you will be happy :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket, but not for me I got an XS in the dusty rose/dark pink last winter and I am 5'4, 110lbs. It's cozy but the material makes it a bit stiff but I understand it is for durability. I love the elastic waist because I always have a problem with wind blowing in. My biggest complaint with this jacket is the gigantic hood and how open the neck area is when I'm wearing it (scarf use is a hassle). Definitely an excellent jacket for working outdoors but I am going to buy the Sherwood version and see if the detachable hood and sherpa collar solves my windy neck issues. Overall I definitely recommend this jacket, very cozy!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket, but runs too large This a nice work jacket but it was waaaaay too big on me even in an XS. I'm 5'4" and 130lbs, and am usually a size S or M, but the XS in this jacket was still too wide and bulky in the shoulders, far too long in the arms, and had several inches of air between the jacket and my torso. The lining seems very warm, but not when it's that far away from your body. I felt like I was wearing my dad's Carhartt. I really wanted to love this jacket as the quality seems great, but in the end, even if I wanted to layer underneath it, it's just too large to be functional.
